We went there and Mike saw that I had my elderly mother w/me and came out to the parking lot to help us. While Mike worked on getting the box unlocked his coworker Rick made us extra keys! We called Alpine to get a key made for a vehicle. I did find the key the next day for our vehicle but I can say that they really helped us out when we needed them. Sad to say but they actually helped us out twice in 6 months when we had vehicles with only one key and of course I never made duplicates. Amazing company. I never write reviews but these guys were awesome. Quoted me $200 for 2 new jaguar tibbe keys. Which if you didn't know are not easy to make. When I went to pick up the keys, they told me it was actually easier to make then they thought and only charged me $106 for 2 Jaguar Keys ! Jaguar Keys ! amazing. unfortunately the tow company that I used to get my car to their place in Reno ruined my transmission by dragging it up the bed of their truck while it was in park so my car was stranded there but Apline lock and key were nice enough to let me keep it there until I could get it towed. Absolutely amazing highly, highly recommend. But don't use D&S towing in truckee though lol read more

My wife and I locked our twin baby daughters in our running car, and locked ourselves out of our house in the process. Fortunately, we had a phone, and my wife reached Alpine right away. They sent the locksmith Dan Burdg, who arrived in less than 15 minutes. Dan got us back into the car very quickly, and our girls never even got restless. When I asked how much we owed him, Dan refused payment and pointed to the door of his van, which promises that Alpine unlocks your car for free if there is a child locked inside. Great policy. Dan wouldn't even accept a tip for his prompt and friendly service. I don't tend to write online reviews, but I am more than happy to write this one one touting Dan and his company for being so quick to help us, and free of charge at that. Dan even said he unlocks a car with a kid inside about once a week, reducing our guilt over being horrible parents! I had called another company out of the local phone book. The gentleman that showed up said he was the owner and was fairly rude right from the start. I was having trouble with the front door rock, and after he was done I still do not feel it work properly, but he said that is the way it works. The following weekend I showed up at our lake house late about 10 o'clock PM, and again I could not get into my house. I called the locksmith backup and informed him I was locked out of my house. He was completely rude and told me something else must be wrong, it would cost almost $300 for him to come get me in. I was so angry with him l called A different locksmith which fortunately turned out to be alpine lock and key. The driver was Jacob, extremely courteous and prompt. Had me in the House within 45 minutes of my call, he also fixed the lock the right way and re-keyed my entire house. I definitely did not feel comfortable with the other company still having a key to my house. Alpine lock is a very professionally run company ofa small-town.
