Great experience - we highly recommend. Last week we lost our car keys while staying near Homewood. AAA got us into the car - but no keys. They called Alpine Lock and Key. Mitchell came all the way from Truckee to assist us. After determining that we actually needed two keys - one for the doors and one for the ignition he had us call our neighbors, who took iPhone photos of the keys and send them to us. Mitchell was able to create new keys just from seeing the photos. All the equipment was in his truck. Mitchell was very pleasant and helpful answering our questions as he worked. I can't out into the 90+ degree heat to find that my car wouldn't unlock, the key just twisted in the hole with no purpose. After calling AAA and being given the run around, I was in a pretty awful mood. It only got worse when Ty told me the whole lock was probably broken, but he could get me into my car and I could bring it by the physical shop next weekend. He got the door open in seconds, and decided to have a look at the lock to see what had gone wrong. The actual lock hadn't broken, a clip had come loose. He took the door apart, searched for the clip, and found that it was broken- in a last ditch attempt he searched his van for one that might fit, and found one! He replaced the clip and door, and the lock works great! Ty was friendly, knew what he was doing, and even had a couple of helpful tips. I'll definitely be using alpine lock again. read more

Bought a new house and after getting quotes from various locksmiths I received the lowest quote from this company. Mitch was the rep/locksmith they sent out to do a re-key job. Turns out he knew how to change the combo's on safes too. He ended up doing 2 safes, 16 door locks, 3 garage doors re-programs, an electronic security gate for the driveway, 2 keypad re-programs, and even taught me a thing or two about my security system. He also reprogrammed all the corresponding remote controls. ALL of this cost LESS than the quotes I had received from other companies! Mitch was amazing, very courteous, and patient. I highly recommend him! I think I got an amazing deal for the amount of time and effort he put in. Never once did he complain, nor did he ever ask for a tip, which is amazing considering I was following him around the house asking tons of questions! So I had locked my keys in my car and had expected it to cost around $200 and take the amount of time it usually took 1 hour. I was surprised when I was quoted $115 for same night and was told it would be only 30 minutes till he would be there. I was at work at the time and he ended up arriving early and said he would wait for me until I was off to unlock the car. When I off he introduced himself as Jeremy and within 5 minutes he was able to unlock my car and get my keys out where as the last shop had taken over 30 minutes to get the car unlocked. After I had started the car Jeremy noticed that my engine was idling weird (an issue I had been having for months that I was giving 10 different possible diagnosis's for). I told him that I had the issue for a while and he offered to look at it free of charge. Not expecting a fix I popped the hood and he found the issue and COMPLETELY FIXED the problem. Called just before Christmas to get a safe bolted down. They were crazy busy due to the upcoming Presidential Election and worry over private ownership gun sale laws changing. They had to reschedule with me two-times first day and then finally had to reschedule for the following day. Justine was very friendly, competent and apologetic.
