She totally enjoyed her crab but she was unable to cut her broccoli because it was so undercooked and the knife that she had was dull. I suggested she bite the broccolini but it was too tough to even do that. I ordered my very favorite which is their meat loaf. I had the same experience with my broccolini. Oddly both were a pale lime color, which I have never seen before but they were inedible. My greatest disappointment was in the meatloaf which was completely dry because it was overcooked to the point that the outside edges were burned. I should have sent it back but I had fasted all day because I wanted to enjoy it last night with my friend so I was actually too hungry to send it back and wait for a different plate to come out. Recommendation: The chef needs to check the plates before they are released from the kitchen to be brought to the customer. Overcooked, burnt meatloaf with undercooked vegetables is unacceptable. Despite this, I gave three stars because of the superb cocktails, my friend's Dungeness crab, and all the prior times when this past summer when the food was so delicious.

We picked up a whole roaster, some thighs, and a few boneless/skinless chicken breasts...and this quality of the chicken is astounding. Different texture, flavor, and not fatty. The roaster turned out SUPERB- the best we'd ever experienced, the thighs I cooked in the air fryer, and the flavor and texture- very light skin, no fat, was phenomenal. The chicken breast were also of like quality. YES, it's more expensive, but the quality and the HEALTH factor of Draper Valley Farms Chicken is well-worth it. (included pic of our roaster) Then just two days ago, on a quick shopping spree to pick up a few of their HIGH QUALITY items at the meat counter (always SO good!)- and I purchased one of their Burgers (Online Ketchup & Mustard Only) & fresh fries to-go from the deli. What I really liked was their "pan dulce" display case stocked with all the traditional sweet bread and baked goods from south of the border. As a kid, I spent a lot of time in Baja with the fam, and these colorful treats in front of me today really bring back fond memories. I also heard from the management staff that they plan on opening a "carniceria" (meat counter) inside the store with regional cuts and choices of meat. The store isn't huge, but it has a lot of interesting items. It's very clean and organized which made my shopping easy. It has an authentic Mexican vibe and I'll be back for more another day. Another vendor had locally made kombucha, ate a savory bagel and even had some local iced coffee! Met some great people and bought fresh veggies from a produce vendor!
