We came here for lunch on a Tuesday, based on the reviews. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary by spending a couple of days in Cascade and McCall. Located northwest of downtown town on the main drag, it appeared to be very popular. There is both inside table/booth and outside picnic table seating. You order at the register, and if you're dining in, they bring your food to you. My wife ordered the chicken Caesar wrap with a bag of chips. I ordered the grilled chicken and Gouda on a Ciabatta roll, with tomato, lettuce, and pickles, along with a side salad and berry vinaigrette dressing. My wife felt the chicken was dry and needed more dressing. I felt that my chicken was a little dry and there was not enough shredded Gouda to really taste it. It also had little or no mayo. The Ciabatta roll was good. Fun ambience away from the downtown crowd, but average food and service efficient but not particularly friendly. read more

I came here for breakfast and overall I was disappointed and will not call again. The best part was the outdoor setting where we sat but for the food, service, and pricing. I ordered the lumberjack breakfast and the scramble was good but the hashbrowns were cold and overcooked. I think they have the grill too hot. There is a slightly kitschy, hipster vibe and while that is cool to some degree it is a little over the top. You order at the counter and they deliver it to you but you have to bus your table and get your own coffee refills. read more

Great place to stop while passing through town. Just off the road that passes through town and across from Payette lake which provides a nice view. Order at the counter, and the woman that took my order was lovely and helpful. I really enjoyed the food. Had scrambled eggs and a side order of chipotle chicken. Alpine Pantry - Pork Chili Verde Breakfast Bowl I don't say this lightly: this wasn't just one of the best breakfasts I've had--it was one of the best meals I've ever had, period. The pork chili verde breakfast bowl from Alpine Pantry is next-level. The pork was incredibly tender, slow-cooked to perfection, and soaked in this rich, tangy, mildly spicy verde sauce that somehow made every bite better than the last. It sat on a bed of crispy potatoes that managed to be both golden and fluffy (how do they do that?), and the eggs were done just right--creamy, not rubbery. Everything was balanced, hearty, and packed with flavor. It's rare for a breakfast dish to stop me mid-bite just to say "wow" out loud--but here we are. Do yourself a favor: skip the standard fare and order the chili verde bowl. You'll be thinking about it for days. read more

What a gem! I stopped by Alpine Pantry a couple weeks ago for breakfast. I sat outside on one of their adorable colored picnic tables and had a gorgeous view of the lake. The service was really friendly and quick. One glance at the menu and I knew I had to try the Banana Carmel Dream French toast (scratch made banana bread dunked in French toast batter, crisped to order topped with sliced bananas, sweet cream and salted caramel sauce, $13.00). I also ordered an Alpine Berries and Sweet Cream Crepe ($5.00) with a side of eggs ($1.50) and a Crispy Potato Cake ($4.00). I loved it all! The French toast truly lived up to its name. The bread itself was some of the best banana bread I'd ever had! And the sweet cream was heavenly! You shouldn't skip out on this one especially if you've got a sweet tooth. The Crepe was equally as scrumptious and the eggs were fantastic. There were more egg whites than yolk which is exactly how I make them at home and no where else does it. The Potato Cake was out-of-this-world delicious and I wish I remembered what exactly when in it! Highly recommend this side :) It's so nice to have another breakfast option in McCall once again especially at this end of town. I can't wait to go back! read more

Be aware this is a counter service establishment. Prices are $$-$$$ considering it's breakfast food. Was not greeted at the counter with a smile or hello. Long wait for food (45mins plus for 3 plates) and a side of toast. Food showed up cold and I swear the potatoes were the rehydrated hash browns from a carton sold at Costco. Tasted like cardboard mixed with corn meal. No one asks how the food is or checks with you during the meal, no coffee refills offered. All at a premium price while asking for 10-25% tip at the counter. You didn't do anything but punch in and order and drop off a plate at the table an hour later. read more

Extremely disappointed and surprised this place has received such high ratings. We waited over an hour for our breakfast (4 of us). We had 2 Bennie's, a scramble, and one just ordered toast). It's counter service and you bus your own tables. Zero service at all yet of course they ask for tip before hand. Food was lukewarm warm and the hashbrowns tasted like those dehydrated hashbrowns you get from Costco. I have never not eaten hashbrowns but these were completely not even real food. The biscuits and gravy would've been delish but way too salty and inedible. Over $35 for breakfast for two with no drinks or extras and pretty small portions.
