My daughter & friends lived there & had so many maintenance issues!! The place was gross when they moved in (I was there so I saw myself!!) her room was "ok" we did our own cleaning of the whole place. I flew up to help her pack & clean & we were told to only clean her room & lock it up since there is still someone living there & that's what we did!!! I have pix of how we left it which was really good, far better than when she moved in. We literally moved the overly heavy metal bed & desk out so we got in the back & dusted good & the baseboards. Only thing we didn't do is spot treat the rug, there was a stain there when she moved in & they cleaned it a couple weeks after she moved in but it came back. I'm SOOO annoyed that not only did we not get our $250 deposit BUT they had the audacity to charge us $29 for cleaning & they said we owed more $ for utilities. I never yelp but this just made me so upset- the place is SO overpriced & totally not worth it. Ps I gave it a one star instead of 1/2 a star only cuz my daughter loved the ward. read more

This apartment complex sucks. Wifi cuts in and out all day (my router is brand new and really good) and they just ignore the problem when you ask for help. Management does nothing for you. After being asked 5 times if I'm a resident and I told them who I was, they didn't even look me up and when I requested my package they asked if I got a text, because they are supposed to text you if you have a package, they tried to send me away 3 times, I refused and turns out they did have my package. This management is the fucking worst! do not live here because you will regret it for as long as your contract lasts. read more

WARNING: Prepare to be nickel and dimed. Seriously, I was skeptical about the negative reviews surrounding this place, but THEY ARE VERY REAL. You pay for everything, including your roommates' utilities if you're one of the unlucky ones (I was). When you approach the office with financial questions/concerns you will have to spend a lot of time working with them trying take the charges off of your account, but if you're persistent you might get lucky. If they overcharge you and you pay, don't expect to get that money back, because you won't. They will even charge you for cleaning that doesn't need to be done. Please do not live here! read more

The office staff is very unprofessional. I've tried to get in contact with them via phone, text, email, I've even gone into the office just to be told they can't answer my question and they'll get back to me shortly. I'd highly suggest moving/living somewhere where you can actually get in touch with the front office. read more

While the underground parking and having a washer/dryer in the unit are very nice assets, my experience here at Alpine Village has been anything but nice. I've listed here a serious of questions and answers, so that you can decide for yourself if living here is worth the cost. How's maintenance? This is my experience: The drawer of the oven was broken, and when we reported the problem, it only took them a day or two to respond. We were originally impressed by the quickness of the response, but our hopes were soon dashed when within 2 days of the drawer being fixed, it was once again off kilter. So much for long-term solutions. The previous tenant in our apartment left multiple gaping holes in the wall of the living room. It took somewhere between 3-4 weeks for maintenance to respond. The first time they fixed it, they merely painted over the holes and it looked terrible. We put in a second request to let them know that we were unhappy with their work and it still took another 2 weeks for the problem to be resolved. When they did come to fix it, they spilled paint in multiple places on my roommate's piano. Beware of the stairwells as it looks as though no one has swept them out in months and often times, pieces of trash with litter the stairs for weeks at a time. Several times I ve actually seen them use a machine to clean the hallways, but either they not doing it properly or the machine does not clean how it s supposed to because the hallway remains stained and covered in gum spots. Also, avoid the side stairwells in the winter. Myself and several other tenants have fallen because of the thick layer of ice that coats the walkway outside the door. Water pools in several other places on the main quad and ices over. And be aware that anytime it rains, the underground parking has so many puddles you need flippers to get to your car. How's the 24 hour Emergency line? To be honest I m not sure if anyone monitors this number. Twice now, two girls on my floor have been locked out of their apartments. One girl was given the wrong key when she moved in and despite 3 calls to the 24hr Emergency line, she ended up having to call her sister and spend the night with family. No one ever returned her calls or apologized for missing them. The other girl was locked out during a snow storm, she had no car and received no response from the 24hr hour emergency line. After a frantic call to the Relief Society President, the RS president was able to find some people who took her in for the night. How's the noise? If you do decide to live here, request an apartment that does not face the quad. If someone so much as walks through the main quad at night, you can hear it in your bedroom. Alpine throws several parties during the warmer months in the middle of the quad, and they lasted until at least 1 or so. They might as well have put the speakers in my room as our entire apartment vibrated from the noise. My work schedule is clearly not of any concern to the management. Furthermore, the walls are fairly thin. I can hear my roommate clearly through the walls if she talks on the phone or even coughs. Also, until I went down to the office to complain, nobody locked the pool at night. So even on school nights, people are jumping and yelling in the pool, and blasting the boom-box until midnight or even one. This is especially obnoxious when you have early morning classes or work. How's the management? The one time I went to speak to management about a concern I had, I was treated extremely rudely. Not only did the manager not bother to look away from his computer while I was talking to him, but he in plain terms that he didn't care that I was being fined for something another roommate did. Suffice it say, I was not impressed. He was completely unconcerned about the issue I had and showed no interest in working with me to resolve it. I have never before been treated so poorly by management and this is the fifth complex I've lived in. It is important to note that I was so bothered by the treatment I received, that I contacted housing services to deal with the issue. Alpine Village offered to refund the fine I was unfairly given if I would agree to take down all my reviews of the housing unit and agree to not write any other similar reviews. In other words, they wanted me to agree to a gag order. Needless to say this review is still up. read more

Great location to BYU, the freeway, restaurants, etc. And they are getting a jacuzzi! Yay! On top of that, they make you food at least once a month, and it's actually good! I have loved living here and wish to only live here longer. I also love having a private room! read more

The place itself is great, not many complaints, but there's been so much miscommunication on their part. Aside from the cleaning fiasco in Fall 2018, I had signed a lease for the 1st of August, but when I called to ask if I could move in, the told me that I wouldn't be able to move in until the 29th. Turns out, they didn't even bother to check, because I actually would have been able to move in on the 1st, and I wasn't given any compensation. Instead I was pretty horribly inconvenienced (the 29th is a popular day for funerals and weddings,) and was also charged $80 for my first utility bill, even though there was no one in the apartment (as they apparently charge $60 more to have your lease start a few days earlier.) Not to mention, there are a whole myriad of nitpicky charges. Again, I have no problems with the apartment complex itself and its staff, but the communication is extremely frustrating. read more

I have lived in 6 apartment complexes since moving to Provo, and Alpine Village is by far the best in every way. Their price is far, their staff is supportive, and the apartments are extremely well kept. Maintenance has the fastest response time I have ever seen. Most times they are there that day. They offer a variety of perks as well which include a heated pool and weight room. read more

The place is fine if you're more to have fun then to be serious about college. It's interesting to have both UVU and BYU students here in this complex. Walls I feel like paper thin on the places I have lived in. Having a private room is pretty cool. The maintenance takes a while and talking with the office can require several visits on some issues. Otherwise it's an overall good apartment to live in. AC does great. Elevators are convenient and are prone to break down every so now and then. The maintenance staff is nice though when you meet them. It can get pricy though with utilities if you're not agreeing with your roommates. Washer and Dryer is definitely a bonus to this apartment complex. If there is need for improvement, I would recommend making the rooms look much nicer. Maintenance working faster. Someway to block the sound from the courtyard, it can be hard to sleep or study at night, but I manage with ear plugs. I would also restrict residents only to college students. Underground parking is nice to have. Can be dangerous though getting up through some of them as some people don't look around and I almost got into an accident here. People here are generally friendly as long as you don't make a fool of yourself. Breakfast is nice, during cleaning checks. One warning is that the people here are very cliquey, and if you don't fit in, you'll feel pretty different here. That's up to you, if that is a good or a bad thing though. read more
