I took my big rig there and washed it. Paid for double the time. I ran out of time before I could do the spot free rinse so I began to dry the water off the windows so as to not have hard water spots on them. It was a hot day and no one was waiting behind me so I stayed in the car wash area where it was shaded and the guy in charge told me I had to leave. I thought it was rude considering everything. I pulled out and found a place to park and noticed my windows had some kind of film on them that I couldn't remove. I had to go to a couple places to get a couple products to remove it. This place used to be decent....this isn't the first time; however, bay #2 ate at least $1.50 from me tonight as well as not giving me the proper amount of added time when putting in additional money. There is a newer sign posted: no bucket washing, which I do not agree with. Reason why, many customers use the brush for the body/glass of the vehicle on the tires and wheels of the vehicle and proceed to wash their vehicle and leave it for the next person. This causes the issue with me, it causes vehicles' paint to get scratched which will be costly to repair. Tonight while using the correct brush for wheels and mats (this one does not have a swinging arm- like the foam brush) the rubber hose scratched the hood of my vehicle. The questions for the owner/operator of this business: 1- what if I want to bucket wash? Due to the issues with brushes. 2- when are your brushes replaced, checked, and cleaned? 3- when do you change the spot free (de-ionized) water cylinder. read more

This place never has wax. You select it and it's just water. The spray foam never works, comes out as a liquid instead of foam. They really need to change ownership or management to fix these issues. read more

Some a&&hole left tar all over the hoses before I used stall 2 from the left. I didn't realize my hand was black until after I started the wash process. Used face masks to protect my steering wheel to drive home and tracked tar through my home as I didn't know it was on my shoes and leggings from dripping off the hose. This is a 24 hour do it yourself carwash. They even have a bay for trucks so you can spray the roof. There's 4 regular car bays, 1 truck bay, and one automatic touchless wash. I wouldn't recommend the automatic wash because I've been through it and it didn't really get rid of anything. Plus it leaves soap sometimes. The regular do it yourself machines are typically fine, but they take a little long to cycle through (like when changing from clear coat to spot free rinse). The foam brushes may leak. The machines are all coin operated only (with the exception of the automatic car wash, it takes credit card and bills), and there are some change machines that dispense dollar coins and quarters. Beware: the vacuums have metal nozzles that can scratch your vinyl. They have good suction. Note: Coming here at night can be pretty scary, since it is a mainly industrial area. Bring a friend. Also, not lit well enough to vacuum at night. read more

Great spot for a drive-thru touchless car wash. The manager (Mark) is an all-around great guy and is very helpful. Haven't used the self-serve stations, but I use the drive-thru about once every other week. It rinses the dirt and bug splatters off and, because it's touchless, it has never scratched my car like other car washes have. read more

Went between 8 and 9am to wash the car on Wednesday May 27, 2020. At first everything was fine the worker who was an old man was going around randomly saying hi to people. Then he decided to approach us it went downhill quickly. He saw that we were using our own buckets to soap up the car. He said in a brutal way to hurry and put $5 into the machine or else we had to leave or get our car towed. He claims there were other people waiting to wash their cars when there was no one waiting. He got his phone out started dialing and proceeded to call the police or a tow truck cause that's what he was claiming to do. In the meantime keeps threatening us that our car was going to get towed again even though there's no sign that says no bucket use or we'll tow your vehicle. In a rush I proceed to put quarters into the machine so we can rinse the car out. I put $2.25 into the machine and as we pick up the handle to rinse the car the water mysteriously shuts off. We approach him, knowingly that he turned off the water on purpose so we could have a hard time rinsing the car off. Supposedly the tow truck or the police is coming. So we called the police too and after waiting for some time, we moved our car into another stall, which was supposedly full, to rinse off the car. We felt so uncomfortable there that we had to dry our car somewhere else. I'll never go back there again. This is not how you treat a customer with threats and gave us no chance at all to talk it out. This is not the place to go to find good service!!! read more

It's a great car wash because you get the choice of washing your vehicle yourself or going through the touchless drive thru. But.. the self wash price is a lot higher than other places. Also, Paid 10 dollars for the premium wash here this time which includes wax and surface protectant. To be honest I've tried their 7 and 8 dollar car wash as well and they don't seem much different when you feel the paint after the wash. Because it's a short shower of protectant and wax that is rinsed off almost immediately after application, think the vehicle can't really absorb any of it. Also, the pressure for the wash seems too weak because this is about the 10th time my car still had bird droppings that were very light still remain on my vehicle after the wash. It didn't do the job of cleaning the vehicle throughly. It is almost as if it's better to pay the cheaper price to hard pressure spray the car myself so I know I can get the easy bird droppings off my car. Compared to Bliss car wash which is almost in any big location nowadays, that might be the better choice because the have really good customer service and it's more thorough of a clean.. and they will let you run your car through again if it wasn't well done the first time. They also let you go through again within the week if there is some rain fall and bring your receipt. There is no one on site here to assist with anything. Not sure if the phone calls on this car wash ever gets returned as well. I've tried before and no reply. Probably won't get a return call if I leave a message again after today's experience. read more

Man, this place is pretty awesome as far as DYI car washes go. My cars run the entire the spectrum - a tiny Civic Si Coupe, a BMW Sedan and a Ram 1500 Quad Cab. I love taking my truck here, because the last two bays even have elevated platforms making it easy (and fun) to wash the roof of tall vehicles (in my case the Ram). For the Si and the Bimmer, they have touchless car washes ala "spa treatment" and a host of cleaning tools. Don't got change or small bills? No problem. They take credit cards (except it takes a little getting used to. Overall, it's a good experience. At least as good as cleaning your cars at 3am can be. And worth mentioning, it was pretty busy at 3 & 4am. Glad I'm not the only one. read more

The automated car wash water pressure is too low and does not really wash dirt off the car. I've came here multiple times in hopes the system would improve, but was left disappointed every time. I was basically giving donations and had to go elsewhere to wash my car right after each time. read more

I love coming here because I get to wash my car the way that I want to for only $5. Sometimes I go twice a week but only spend $2.25 for about 3-4 minutes each time to just rinse my car off with some pressured soap and water. Because using the brush has left my car with scratches so I don't use the brush. All it does is spread the soap around and not take off those bug poop stains. read more

I visited Al's today. I have been there in the past and been very satisfied with the service received. Today the mechanism broke down and damaged the mirror on the driver's side of my car. They blamed me for the damage and refused to pay or help to pay for the damages. Do yourself a favor and don't use them. If per-chance something happens they will avoid all responsibility and be very rude in the process. If I could give them zero stars I would. My FIRST EXPERIENCE: I had very high hopes for this self serving car wash considering the other reviews... that quickly ended as soon as I was forced to move my vehicle by a manager when I was waiting for a shaded area to open up so I could dry my car to do so. Anyone with any common sense knowledge of washing/drying/detailing a car knows, you don't do it in direct sunlight. Regardless if you use a gimmick like a "spot free rinse". I explained this to the "manager" (might have been just an employee), but he didn't care and told me to dry my car out in the sunlight! Really?! Why the heck did I just spend my money to wash my car only for it to get spotted and streaked immediately after washing it?! My SECOND EXPERIENCE: Now, normally I would just let this go. I understand it's a business and if a booth is occupied, they're not making money (which clearly is most important to the establishment rather than customer service). So I decided to give Al's auto spa a second try, this time at a later time of night in hopes it wouldn't be as busy. Except apparently some customers don't know the difference between washing a car and drying... I'd say I was there around 7pm, and several booths were open, so clearly it wasn't as busy. I didn't assume to take any longer, I just figured I'd rinse, soap up the car (with their equipment) and scrub it down with my own sponge, before I rinsed. Apparently some rude customer thought I was drying my car with a sponge?! Not to mention I still had time I paid for on the machine! Considering this was my second time there and twice I was treated rudely and disrespectfully, I needed to let y'all know. Love this wash. The owner is super welcoming and nice! Love coming here because it's super easy to use, affordable and they have vacuums! Pro tip prior to going into the automatic car wash if you have time, rinse your car off first to scrape off bird poop, bugs, degrease your rims and do a first wash down with soap then go into the wash it'll come out so clean and fresh! I do wish the automatic car wash had a drying only option for when you just want to spray down your car. read more

It was a busy day after the rains and the only open self car wash port had huge chunks of mud (maybe it was closed?). I still thought I would give it a try. I had problems swiping my credit card and the GM (Mark?) came by and directed me the brushless automated car wash that I didn't know was there for a discounted car wash...totally cool as I had a bad attitude that my husband told me to wash the car today. Arrived on a day, early, with no other patrons. Sprayed my car off and proceeded to use a bucket to wash. Half way through I see a sign stating no buckets. I understand the policy and continue since no one is in line. A minute passes and this arrogant, aggressive old man tells to move my car NOW. Threatens to call the police etc.. Done. Never will I patronize this place again. To be spoken to as if he was a police officer, or as if I were not complying with his request is unacceptable. He should be terminated from his capacity immediately. If the same incident happened in Santa Ana, he probably would not be around to work another day. read more

First I got cut in line, whatever. Then after waiting about 20 minutes in line, and paying for my wash, and it's finally my turn, the car wash malfunctioned and my car was never washed. The water never came on, nothing. The kiosk kept saying it was still in use when it wasn't. I waited a bit longer, after ten more minutes I pressed the refund button, nothing happened. I pressed it again, tried pressing and holding for a few seconds. No response, I did not receive a refund. There is no phone number to contact anyone in regards to this listed anywhere on the kiosk. Been going here for years. Overall not bad. Can get very busy. I've never had a problem with older gentleman that works there. In fact, when I had a problem with a machine not taking payment correctly he gave me free time on the machine until I was done. On another occasion, I had washed my truck but forgot to spray one section off. I pulled back thru to spray the missed section and the older fella loaded the machine with time for free so I could finish the job. I have seen several rude customers and craziness when it gets busy. People cutting each other off , no concept of an orderly line and not following the posted rules. I can only imagine the abuse this gentleman receives from customers who want to act like victims. This car wash is what it is. A basic self wash for a fair price. Don't expect a pro detail or top notch equipment but it's more than adequate for simple washes. read more

I'm a student and I was looking for someplace cheap to wash my car at so I went to Al's. I got there and was in line for the auto service when I saw the manager (I'm assuming it was Al?) was going to the cars in line one by one. He came over and apologized and told me that the service has broken down and he has called someone to come and service it but it will be 20-30 mins. I totally understand that accidents like this happen and I asked him if he could redirect me to someplace else when he offered to run the self wash for me for free. I accepted but I went to a wrong slot and not the one he had already ran for me. Once I told him, he was so nice about it and he started a second slot for me for free to wash my car! I had a great experience at Al's and will be going back because of the nice gesture and how I was treated! read more

This car wash is great. $5 for 10-11 minutes with credit card, which is more than enough time, or I think you can pay a little less with quarters (for less time). On Wednesdays they have a special, but I'm not sure what time it starts. I need all my quarters for laundry, so card works for me. Definitely gets busy on the weekends. It's open 24 hours though, so if you come on a weeknight around 9, you'll more than likely drive right in. If you've never used a self car wash before, it's pretty straightforward. You can skip some of the wash settings, like pre-rinse...I go straight to high pressure soap (don't stand too close with high pressure, for obvious reasons). The tire cleaner brush is good for general cleaning, but depending on your wheels, you may prefer to do some detail work in the drying stall. I rinse off with the spot free because it won't leave water spots after drying. BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL. Your favorite retailer that starts and ends with T has good microfiber towels in the automotive section :) read more

After being a frequent customer I will never return here. I'm using Harvs just down the street now. Pleasant full service for not much more.... So what could go wrong at a self serv? The manager just went out of his way to get in my face and yell at me, confirming some of the other run ins reviewers have reported. It was busy and He Coned off the only bay to access the vacuums from. Rather than moving it so I could pass, he expected me to go out, go way around and come back in thru the exit! I'd like to share my experience at this car wash. I recently went to the drive thru car wash after waiting for a few cars it was my turn, I paid the machine stated verifying payment then accepted. I looked for the green light I drove in nothing happened so I left. Later I checked my account and was charged so I looked for the website and left a message. A day or two passed (it was the weekend and holiday) I received a voicemail from a very nice gentleman. He stated he would refund me the money through Venmo or mail. I chose Venmo and received the refund instantly. I am very impressed with the responsiveness and kindness of this gentleman and will be back when my car needs a good wash. For the cost and efficiency it's a great place. Also there is a brushless automated wash you can use that won't damage your paint and has a great undercarriage wash feature. I went there recently and the auto wash ran out of soap. I called the number and the next day they personally reached out apologized and refunded my money. So they also have great customer service. Been going here for years. If you use the bays, they're $2.25 for 4 minutes. Two change machines are available that dispense quarters and dollar coins. On Wednesdays, the bays are $1.75 from 8-8. At your disposal are a standard nozzle, foaming brush, and a semi-decent wheel and tire cleaner. Good luck utilizing all of them within that 4 minute time span. Don't waste your time with the automated wash; it's not worth your money for what you get (unless you're lazy). When it was still $4, I would've called it a bargain. Sometimes the drying process fails miserably, leaving water droplets all over the place and requiring you to get out of your car with a rag. It can get very busy during daylight hours; go late at night and you will practically have the place to yourself. read more
