John Williams of Al's Plumbing was a terrible experience for me . He took a large deposit and then he didn't show up for quite awhile. I called him numerous times and very rarely did he answer the phone. When he did answer he said he would come to do the work and not show up. I hate having to do this to any business but I guess 4 th time must be unlikely. We initially bought a new dishwasher from Best Buy and their installers found a leak under our sink and also could not install our dishwasher as our tiled floor had made it hard to install. I called Al's Plumbing who came to the house and assessed everything and gave me an estimate of $900 half of which he wanted up front by check which I paid him immediately as I had used him previously and found him reliable. He asked me if I wanted it covered under my homeowner's insurance policy and I said no. We set up a date for Monday and he called me stating he had a problem elsewhere so he canceled on me and came the following day oomph time. He did a good job with my leak under the sink, however he and his fellow workers had a difficult time putting in the new dishwasher. He then told me he would have to lift my granite counter to place it in and that it may crack. My response was you are the professionals and you figure out how to do it! In short the Dishwasher front was buckled and the Granite counter top was cracked (which I noticed after he left). I have called Al 4 times the last time he finally answered my calls and I asked him to come by the house and see the problem. Today its been over 4 week and no sign of Al's Plumbing!! I must say I am very disappointed by the way Al's Plumbing has responded to an old customer of his this time! I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED and will never use him again! read more

I am in Delray Beach FL. I have used Al's Boca Plumbing for several years with no issues. So when i needed a new valve installed i called Al {John Williams" to repair it, I gave him a $400 check on January 2nd and he told me he had to order the part. every week he gave me another reason that he could not come he was in a few big jobs. Then he stopped answering the calls. it is February 17th and I told him to refund the money and I have someone else to do the repair. I have given him every chance to say he can't do it, but no phone calls or texts. Time to report him to the DBPR. Don't trust this guy. read more

I always like to do a quick review and a long one with more details. Quick version: Al is great. he does good work for a good price and doesn't take the easy or lazy way on a job. He offers competitive rates, ESPECIALLY given that he offers a GUARANTEE that he will come back to perform maintenance annually AT NO ADDITIONAL COST. See pics to show his work on our water heater. He even called a few days later to make sure everything was ok. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. TLDR version I met Al outside of Lowe's when he was fighting to get a, I guess, 125 lb water heater into his van all by himself. As a firm believer in common decency (unfortunately an oxymoron in these modern times) and the"karma credit club," I offered to help him. All I did is hold a cart still but it was the help Al needed to get the tank onto his vehicle easily. Before I walked away he said "Take a picture of my shirt. That's my business name and phone number. Call me if you ever need a plumber." Well, jump forward a few months and our water heater conked out on us. I spent THREE DAYS trying to get a plumber out to do the job. I guess anyone with a pulse has more business than they know what to do with bc many vendors were unreliable and or unresponsive. They did not care that we have kids and need to be able to take showers. It was so frustrating!! This is when I remembered Al. I called him up and long story short, within 24 hours, we had a new water heater installed. Al's prices were reasonable, especially given that he replaced EVERYTHING except for the pan (there is/was nothing wrong with it) and the electrical connection (bc that should be done by an electrician, and again it was fine) and he offers an annual maintenance flush (annually maintained water heater will live 2x as long) for NO ADDITIONAL COST. He also works CLEANLY. I am so sick of cleaning up after construction vendors!!! I have remodeled many homes back in my native CA and this is far from the 1st time I have had to replace a water heater. Plumbers can be lazy and or cheap and not replace things like pipes or hot/cold connections. Not only do they get in and out faster but they also can create a job for them to do down the line if the connection(s) gets corroded or lose. Al replace these for me and I did not specifically ask him to do so. Definitely recommend him for your next plumbing issue and or project. read more

I used Al several times. Last January 2 he took a $400 deposit to order a part. I have tried to reach him many times. He promised several times to come and fix the issue. After several weeks I had someone else repair it. I told him to refund me the $400 he said he would deduct $75 for the call. I have yet to see a penny. My opinion of him has changed he's a crook never refunded me the $325. read more

About three years ago I had a water heater installed by Al's Boca Plumbing. Since my experience with the company was very good, when I needed a kitchen faucet installed I didn't hesitate to call the company again. I spoke to John Williams of Al's Boca plumbing yesterday and he arrived today to install the faucet. He also replaced the valves in the cabinet to the faucet, the dish washer and the refrigerator as they were leaking. I found his work to be professional and reasonably priced. Hate to leave a negative review as most of my reviews are positive but bad experience here; called Wednesday evening (admittedly it was late) and the owner was out at dinner - no problem at all - and said he'll call me back after dinner to schedule. No call. Not a big deal at all, so I called at 9 am Thursday morning and was then told he'd come to my place at 4:30 the same day. On his word, I left work early and rushed home (an hour drive) and he was a no show. I called and he said he go stuck on another job. With just basic communication this would've been no problem, but instead of calling and letting me know this, there was no phone call and I assume if I didn't call him, I would've been left wondering what happened. In August 2020, a plumber from this company came and did some work in my house, Including making a repair to a leaky faucet. I discovered later in the day that the faucet was still leaking. When I called, the plumber said he needed to get a different cartridge. 7 weeks later, I am still waiting. I've called probably 10 times. Each time I am told the plumber isn't feeling well or is understaffed, and that he will call me back, which he never does.
