Edgar Ortis at Seattle Shower Door went above and beyond in assisting me from start to finish with replacing a glass shower enclosure. I'm sure this was one of their smaller jobs, yet I felt treated like VIP through the whole process. I had so many questions along the way and Edgar always responded within minutes of every text or email I sent and was always more than happy to explain everything. Amazing work and amazing customer service! I had a name brand glass shower door that was shifting to one side, threatening to come loose entirely. The company I bought it from was very unhelpful. Jorge came out to take a look and perhaps give me an estimate for a new shower door. Instead, he fixed it in 20 minutes for way less than the cost of a new door and also gave me helpful advice about how to keep the problem from happening again. Communication wasn't very good, we had to keep calling them asking for updates. It took about 5 months to finally get it installed due to a lot of miscommunication on their part. We were told that we would pay for the glass when it came in, then we were called 6 weeks after the measured the door asking if we still wanted them to order the glass... The guy who measured it said they would call us when it came in nothing about having to pay to order it. We paid and waited two months then called asking when it would be in. Oh it came in a month ago... We scheduled a day for installation which was then cancelled the day of. We then had to wait another 2 weeks until they had an opening in their schedule. Installation went well. They vacuumed up the old glass but still managed to leave a lot of it scattered all over the carpet, and outside the back door. All in all we will be choosing a different company next time we need glass. read more

Excellent company! Our frameless shower door started sagging after a few years and we had to remove the sweep to even use the door. Since we bought our house with that shower door, I had no idea who originally installed it. I was struggling to find a company to help since at least three companies informed me they only fix what they installed. I left a message for Al's Glass and received a call back the next business day. Jorge then came out to look at the job and give a quote, then a week later (due to our schedule) the job was done. The customer service I received was great! I told them I needed a 13" by 44" inch pane of glass and it was cut right then and there in 5 minutes max. It was a really affordable price and plus I had to come back to trim the glass because it barely fit and I appreciate them not charging me extra and taking the time to recut the glass which can be more difficult when you're trying to trim. It really shows that they care about their customers. read more

Seattle Shower Doors did a great job on our new glass shower. Not an easy job with 2 sliding doors because of space constraints. Jorge came out several times for measurements and planning. Our walls were not quite straight (old house) so the glass was fitted to the existing walls. It was really helpful to see the door options and handles in their showroom which helped us choose appropriate handles that would fit our tight space. Installation was quick and professional. These guys are incapable of follow-up. They came and visited the construction site and made a bid. We made an appointment for the following week and never showed. I recently had glass but into some cabinet doors. I really liked working with the people at Al's Glass. I have been using them for shower doors, windows, and mirrors for many years. They are great, I would never use a big box store as long as Al's is around. Cheaper, nicer, better selection, superior quality, and they know what they are talking about. read more

I needed single-strength replacement panes, for which I was charged more than twice what they cost at Lowe's. When I pointed this out, Al's claimed that their glass is twice the thickness. Horse-hockey! The cost is in the labor, not the glass. Simple economics. So I'm off to Bill's in Lynnwood next time. read more

There price was good but installers did were not well equipped withy the right tool to install on porcelain tile and damaged my new tile they did offer to replace the tile if I had more but I did not want them to touch it. read more

Chris came by initially to look at new shower we needed a door for and in our master he recommended we salvage what we had as it was still in great shape. Saved us money and when Jorge came by he was very communicative and professional. Did an amazing job installing our new shower door and reassembling our master that need new caulking. Good clean installation of a large 2pane picture window. We later discovered a defect, some smudges between the panes that happened during manufacturing. They were difficult to see, I don't blame anyone for missing it, but that part of the window was never going to look clean. They agreed it was defective and replaced it promptly at no cost. And it was a very large window. Can't ask for better service. read more

I was referred to Al's via a friend and made the mistake of assuming "If it all went well for him I'm sure it will go great for me." You know that saying about assuming?? Regardless... I contacted Al's to discuss a window that had been broken at an apartment complex by one of my roofers. They said they would get out there the following week to take measurements. I gave them the Project Manager's number to get it all set up. Almost two weeks go by. I call Al's and the next thing I know everyone is blaming everyone else about how the window didn't get measured because of the complex's manager but the complex's manager says they just showed up without an appointment. Just a mess! Honestly, I just needed the window fixed. Cost didn't matter, time didn't matter. Just communication and a repaired/replaced window. In the end I practically apologized to Al's for I don't know what and then found another company that not only responded to me but are able to communicate with me as we move through the process. read more

We just reviewed our gas bill for the year following the install of our new windows from Al's Glass. Wow! What a difference! We have a 1906 home and wanted to have the multi-pane look replicated but with nice easy to maintain insulated windows. Al's heard us loud and clear and delivered. I went to Al's Glass after pricing at Lowe's and Home Depot. The pricing was much better for a custom shower door. I spoke with the sales person Brett. He is exactly what I would want in a sales person, informative, knowledgeable, good listener, he gave me options, and he did not try to up-sell me. After the glass was ready, other workers installed the door. They were very nice but did make a simple mistake by not stepping back when the job was done and making sure everything was perfect. I was making an anniversary gift for my husband and it needed to be done within the hour. Part of this project was cutting a sheet of plexi on my own with a craptastic knife I purchased from H.D. After alot of swearing and breaking of plastic I called Al's in a panic and she told me to come on up. They cut the plexi to the size I needed within 5 minutes and I was on my merry way.
