First time here. Easy to get in. No wait really. Showed interest in a firearm, made a call, began talking to a staff member and was told the firearm I showed interest in was well in stock and had about 5 left since they just got a shipment. Began talking price and deposit when another customer walked in. Was helped by another staff member (that was aware of the firearm I was going for) showed and sold to the customer that just walked in. I know business is business but that was pretty shady and not courteous at all. I had good vibes about this place until then. I even overlooked the high price of the firearm. I was also looking for something specific for hunting and informed him that I saw a deal at another store. Al immediately and honestly told me that the other store had a great deal (they were selling at-cost basically), and that I should purchase it there instead. When we entered for the first time the place was so packed, but we waited. When we were called Al treated us with so much respect and care. There are two local gun shops that I was interested in. The first one I visited was Norco Armory and the second was Al's Guns and Gear in Corona. Both are small stores, but both have really good service. I ended up buying my guns (and gear) at Al's (Norco Armory was closed at the time), and let me tell you that I was quite impressed. While Al's gun shop may be small, he has a surprising amount of handguns and rifles. He also has a good stock of peripheral items and ammo. And Al's Guns and Gear is only about 5 to 7 minutes away from my home, which makes it extremely convenient. I purchased two weapons at Al's; a Glock 19 and a Smith & Wesson M&P AR-15. The AR-15 was used, but looked in immaculate condition. There wasn't any sign of wear on the outside or inside, not even on the Bolt Carrier Group. What a find! Al is friendly and patient and doesn't try to over sell. People like him are a pleasure to do business with. For a guy just getting back into firearms after a very long hiatus, I couldn't be more pleased about how I was treated. Do yourself a favor and check them out. You'll be glad you did. read more

Al and Lisa have always been extremely helpful in acquiring our firearms. We are new shooters and have purchased all our firearms at Al's. If he doesn't have the firearm in stock he is more than willing to order one or help with a transfer. These are hard times for gun shops not being able to get the firearms, ammo, and other products they need to stay alive. During these hard times the smaller shops need to charge more for items as they have to pay more for them to stay alive. Without our smaller gun shops we would have to stand in 4 hour lines, at the larger gun shops, just to find out they don't have the item you need or will no longer order or handle a transfer for you for a reasonable fee. Pricing on all items we purchase today have gone up and not unreasonable for us to pay more for items we want or need in the gun shops also. Myself and friends will continue to travel the extra miles to Al's when needing firearms and supplies. No other shops have been as helpful and as nice to work with than Al's. Can't wait to pick another revolver for my wife tomorrow. Thanks Al. read more

Don't purchase from here. I seen a gun I wanted and checked with Al's for availability. I was told it was in stock. I purchased immediately ( around dec.1st). Two weeks went by and I still didn't have a tracking number so I called them. I was told it ships from manfacture and I should still receive before Christmas. A couple more days to Christmas and still nothing, so I reached out to Al's again. This time they told me the gun was on backorder and they couldn't tell me when I would receive. The gentleman (con-man) told me that he was still trying to resolve backorder from September. I told him that I would like a refund and would purchase somewhere else. He said that wouldn't be a problem but still charged me a 20%-25% shipping and handling fee. So not only was I unable to have Christmas present for my son, now I'm out of pocket. These people are garbage. Budsgunshop.com or palmettostatearmory.com is what I would recommend. So far I haven't had any issues with those two places and customer service has been exceptional. Stay away from Al's. It's a con job, they sell guns they say are in stock and then once you decide to no longer wait several months- half year to receive and you cancel order, they charge you a fee for services they couldn't provide. Shameful (Left kind of way) to do business. Zero star is more applicable. read more
