This is worse than waiting in line at Disneyland! Value: competitive pricing for the one I was very interested to buy. Selection looked decent. Service was horrible for such a long wait time. As a result of the ridiculous wait time coupled with many other customers looking frustrated and growing more impatient, I left. Got there on a Monday morning at 10am for an online ammo order pickup. They only have digital queues for firearms. No line to line up. Waited at the counter patiently. After a staff freed up a random customer just walked straight to him and received service without even waiting like the other customers. Another customer who waited behind me is also picking up online ammo order. We both waited another 45 mins before I was helped. In total, spent an hour to pick up ammo that I've already ordered and paid for in advance. Staff were nice but definitely will not come back or recommend to anyone. At least Turner's and few other places I've been to have check in queues. Not worth 30 mins of anyone's time driving here. read more

I have purchased 3-firearms from Sportsman Warehouse. One from the Murrieta store, and two from the Corona store. I read a lot of the reviews regarding discrimination against other than White. I don't like to judge, but the reviews are correct. If you're not White, you can expect the "rolling of the eyes", Or the lack of customer service. I have waited each time buying and picking up, at lease an hour average wait; once, an hour and a half. Atruious, indecorouse are two words that come to mind. I have one more gun to pick up and now that I am out of gift cards, I will never go back. I truly believe in fixing a problem or doing away with it. But a changing of the gun counter employees need to occur and proper customer training needs to take top priority. read more

Didn't think much of the low reviews before my first visit but after two visit to this store I had to write one. I had to order a handgun online due to the fact they had stock with a discount. So I went there and did my DROS and paid for everything but had to wait in a digital line for more than 1hour plus. Eventually I did get everything done and made an appointment for 10 days later to pick up. They confirm and login my appointment. Then after 10 days later I went in 20mins before my noon appointment and ask if I should wait or login the digital line again. They said sign in the digital line and we'll call you when it's my turn since I'm 5th. Once noon hit I had to ask them again how this works. They had mentioned there's no appointment for me. So I had to double check my text and email notification and shows the appointment but it was a 5 days ago. Apparently they book the wrong date for me. That being said the lines are always long with an understaff. Overall their digital forms and process was great and would buy again. But their execution with the entire waiting and lines is a mess. I'm 67 and registered a shotgun I bought in Hemet 20 years ago, and a sidearm I bought in KS 10 years ago. I went in to buy ammo for the sidearm and the guy was very nice and said I needed to go through the CFARS clearance before they could sell me ammo. OK, I thought, it's California and of course they will make it hard for old men to buy ammo. I submitted my CFARS application a week ago. The ambiguous State of CA website accepted my application about a week ago, but I still don't know if I can purchase ammo there. I spent 20 minutes on hold to see if the firearms clerk could tell me. The inconvenience of this store is frustration. Reason for my visit was to find a fixed Magpul stock; which they didn't have. It's fine, it's not the end of the world. I drove from Long Beach because the store was my favorite back in Arizona. Came in at 9am bright and early, so I opted for a different stock. This is small store and very well maintained and clean. I get to the counter, the stock was not priced correctly and cost more. Extremely unprofessional experience at this location. I visited the Sportsman's Warehouse in Corona, CA this evening intending to purchase a Vortex Razor HD spotting scope. Since the scope comes in two sizes with different magnifications, I wanted to compare the image quality and weight before deciding which one best suited my needs. When I approached the optics area near the firearm section and politely asked an associate (short, wearing glasses) to show me the model with the higher magnification, he responded with reluctance and told me he would "rather not" show it to me unless I intended to buy it. I found this response both unprofessional and unreasonable--display models exist specifically so customers can evaluate products before making a purchase. I explained that I had driven to the store specifically to compare these two models and that I was a serious buyer. He eventually retrieved an opened-box unit from the back and commented, "lucky for you I have one in an open box for you to look at." After examining it, I asked if I could purchase a new, sealed box. He then laughed and told me I was "funny" for not wanting the floor model or the opened-box item. For an $800 precision optic with delicate lenses, it is entirely reasonable to request a sealed product. His dismissive attitude and comments made the entire interaction unnecessarily unpleasant. At that point, I decided to leave and took my business to Bass Pro Shops instead. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and is exactly how a store loses customers. I was a longtime customer of the Corona store. I have purchased multiple firearms here. My last purchase was the Smith & Wesson FPC carbine. The sales lady brought out my purchase and then took it back and said that it was the wrong one. She then brought out another one and quickly made the transaction. I was not familiar with this carbine and she offered no demonstration. When I got home and checked it out, it was missing the latch to secure the extra magazines on the butt stock. The butt stock was also scratched. I drive almost 2 hours one way to this store so I wasn't about to drive back right away. Additionally, missing items in the bag. I bought this carbine on 12/6/24. The one I received came in a box that was dated 10/28/24. That means that this carbine was at the store 2 months prior to my purchase. I was sold a used and damaged carbine as new. After presenting all this info to customer service, they offered to refund me $100 to my credit account. I never received the refund. This was the worst experience I've ever had purchasing a firearm. They got away with this one because I paid off my account and closed it. This employee that did the pickup transaction did not know her job. Or maybe they knew and got rid of a damaged firearm. I Ordered a firearm online and thought I got a great deal. So I drove down there on a weekday, signed in to fill out the background check paperwork, and after signing in it showed I had a 100 minute wait with only four people ahead of me!! That's just ridiculous!! I get it, It's California and California makes it VERY difficult to buy firearms, but I can buy one at Turner's or other firearms dealers and never ever wait anywhere near THAT long. I've been to Turners with five people ahead of me and they got to me within 30 minutes. I was super turned off by the expected wait, so I went ahead and canceled my order. And before that, I actually waited for about 30 minutes, and when I checked the wait time again, it STILL said 100 minutes! Very disappointed I was really looking forward to it. But I thought, "Wow I'm going to wait 100 minutes or more JUST to fill out paperwork, and THEN I have to COME BACK, to pick it up! And probably wait another 100 minutes! Forget it! I'll pay the higher price somewhere else. Definitely a great way to lose business by not having enough people to service your customers. I HATE to complain like this but DANG, I can't even begin to explain how aggravated I felt seeing that wait time with so few people ahead of me. You need to understand that the CA state anti-Gun stupid law that slows Gun or Ammo purchases!! Yes, you have to wait a bit long time, if you walk in to buy a Gun or Ammo during the weekend or some holidays. However, You can order ahead from online https://www.sportsmans.com/ and follow the instructions for pickup or you can call to schedule your pickup time and date. I understand when purchasing a fire. They have to double check everything. However, they don't have to sit there and have conversations for over an hour with the Customer over some thing that has nothing to do with the purchase and fire on getting to another personal life, just chatting and having a great time when they have six people waiting in line. Another issue I had is my appointment to pick up the fire arm after the ten they waiting period was scheduled. I trusted the associate, however, the associated did not verify the time on the paperwork and schedule the appointment incorrectly. I left my job early, just to pick up the fire arm. Only to find out. I was unable to because of the time. And now I'm being told there is no appointment available for 3 to 4 more days, and the associates are unwilling to accommodate for their own mistake. read more

"Maliciously Slow" is accurate when describing the service here. We've been to this particular store about a dozen times; either buying guns or ammo or other accessories. It doesn't matter what day or what time you come in, the service is just maliciously slow. As soon as they open at 9am, or whatever time during the day or when they want to close at night, just SLLOOOOOOOW. slower than molasses! As in, if they go any slower, they would be going BACK IN TIME. The only reason why they're getting 3-stars is because of RON and MIKE; they know how to provide friendly, polite customer service. And I get it; it's not their fault they're understaffed at the GunCounter....... (at Turners, there were 7people helping at the gun counter) but here, there was only two guys and none of the staff even act like they want you to be there. They all DRAG their bodies around like they hate their lives. It's really sad. Are they nice to you? SURE! They say all the right things like "please" and "thank you" --but they act like they don't want to help you. I even heard one of the guys say "oh I only work here 2days out of the week, for the discount! It's too tedious and boring." And don't even get me started on when you're a FEMALE who wants to do a gun purchase. They avoid you like the plague. I was here with my uncle and cousins, all buying different things. We waited over 2hrs to just process DROS --and my cousin had to come back because they ran out of time for his paperwork. Waiting two hours..... and NOTHING was done! it's a soul-drainer. I drove very far to pick up an item and the lady made me feel violated by taking my ID card when she didn't need to. Also demanding that I show my credit card which again was uncalled for. I complied because once again I drove very far just to pick up my item. And only chose to do pickup thinking it'd give me a peace of mind, but it did quite the opposite.
