The best part about my meal was that it came with a lot of food; which is what I'd expect for a $28.64 meal. It came with rice, hummus, salad, and bunch of fries. Unfortunately, the best parts of the meal were the rice and gyros. The two beef options weren't that great. Although the platter constituted two separate meals for me, it just wasn't fantastic at all. Floors weren't properly cleaned either.

After several minutes, someone finally asked if we were number 11. We were. Once seated, the decor was cute, but service was mediocre at best. The food was the biggest disappointment. It had been a while since we last visited, and it's definitely not the same. The rice was bland and flavorless, and the gyro meat tasted like frozen, reheated product -- very dry, with the main flavor being salt. Instead of the fresh-carved gyro meat you typically see on a vertical rotisserie at most Greek restaurants, the kitchen area was closed off, so there was no visible preparation or carving station. For nearly $50, the experience simply did not match the price. Between the disorganized service and underwhelming food, we won't be back. Next time, we'll stick to supporting East Valley Greek spots that offer better quality and value. I want to preface, this place used to be good. Not sure of ownership changed, but save yourself a trip and find something better and more affordable

I'm of two minds about Al's Gyros. I'd been visiting regularly and was consistently impressed by the incredible steak schwarma and top-tier garlic sauce. However, my recent experiences have been marred by inconsistent service. The male manager is exceptionally kind, always greets me with a smile, and generously offers a military discount without hesitation. On the other hand, the female staff member who's often at the register bluntly says "no" to that. When I ask for extra garlic sauce, he's happy to provide it, while she insists on charging extra and does so with a noticeable lack of warmth. It's a coin toss every time I visit - will I get his friendly, welcoming service or her cold, unfriendly treatment? Despite the excellent food, the inconsistent service has dropped my rating to 3 stars, and I'm probably not going back anytime soon. read more

The food is wonderful they have a special going on throughout the rest of December offering $4.99 gyro combo special which includes one side and a soda pop!!! There meat is in gracious amounts almost enough for two people. Kitchen is the cleanest kitchen I've ever seen. Staff is very friendly from my understanding is almost all family run! I go here once a week for the past 15 months. The food is always fresh & tasty. I like the Philly cheese steak gyro with the cheese sauce & Greek fries on the side. I'm from the east coast and this is very close to authentic Greek/American food. I haven't ordered anything on the menu I didn't like.
