Unfortunately, my experience following that appointment, specifically regarding the referral to the periodontist, left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. For that reason, I feel it is important to share my experience and the concerns I have about the referral process. I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the referral process and my experience during my recent periodontal consultation. During my exam and cleaning, I discussed my concern regarding an open embrasure (black triangle) with my dentist. Based on that conversation, I was referred to a periodontist to discuss a gum graft as a possible solution. I scheduled the appointment and took time out of my day because I trusted that this referral was appropriate for my condition. At the consultation, the periodontist briefly examined the area, asked what my primary concern was, and after I explained that it was the embrasure, immediately stated that a gum graft would not correct an embrasure. He then said the general dentist would need to discuss restorative options such as a veneer or crown instead. After the appointment, I was told I owed a consultation fee. I questioned why I was being charged for a consultation regarding a treatment that the specialist immediately determined would not address my concern. I was then told the consultation was also intended to determine whether I was a candidate for a veneer or crown. That explanation does not align with the reason I was given for the referral. I was referred specifically to discuss a gum graft-not to obtain clearance for a veneer or crown. My concern is not that specialists charge consultation fees. My concern is that I was referred for a treatment that the specialist determined almost immediately was not an appropriate option for the condition I was referred to discuss. This resulted in an unnecessary appointment, wasted time, and an attempt to charge me for a consultation that, in my opinion, should never have been necessary if the appropriate evaluation had been completed before the referral. For that reason, I declined to pay the consultation fee. I don't believe that I should be financially responsible for a referral that appears to have been inappropriate from the outset. I am requesting a clear explanation as to why I was referred for a gum graft consultation when the specialist determined almost immediately that a gum graft would not resolve my primary concern. I also ask that your office review the referral process to help prevent other patients from experiencing the same situation.

I hadn't been to a dentist in 10 years until I broke a tooth. This place fixed it and found other…read moreissues. But instead, Holly Schmitt, the office manager, refused all treatment, refused a refund for pre-paid services they did NOT perform and the cops were called on me while I was in my vehicle. Even the officer was confused and said I had every right to be in a public parking lot. Holly also lied multiple times about what the dentist said, telling me, "Doctor's orders and priority." She wasn't happy when I said that's not what the doctor told me. Dr. said, "It's your money, it's your mouth, we can do what you want." The cherry on top, I finally found and sent an email to 'corporate'. Few days later, Holly sent me a "Release of all Claims" form with a built in non-disclosure/confidentiality agreement. Asking me to give up my rights in order to receive a refund on services you didn't provide, is shady at best. Thank god this is not normal and the other dental offices I've been to have even asked; why weren't you allowed to make decisions for yourself, who are these people, what office is this, and are telling all their colleagues. I've had 3 appointments in 3 weeks with a different doctor, in the exact order I wanted treatment done with 0 complications. Save yourself the trouble, and go somewhere else!

I am pregnant and they treated me like they have no knowledge or consideration at all when it comes to pregnancy. First, I requested to be at a small incline as it is not safe to be flat on your back. The DENTIST made multiple comments how that was uncomfortable for her because she would have to stand instead of sit during my filing. Making me feel like a total burden. Further, I waited a hour past my appointment to start my filling. Once started, she and the assistant talked about their relationships and religion and home life the whole time. It was extremely unprofessional. Then 1/2 way through the doctor told me she needed to go do other exams. So she left me 1/2 way done sitting there for another 20 -30 minutes to go work on other patients. So all in all , the appointment that should have taken 30 minutes took almost 2 hours. My advice, go to a dentist that actually cares about their work, and not their coming up vacation time. It's typically the office staff that are terrible and the doctors make up for it , but in this case, it clearly starts at the top and the staff follows along constantly apologizing for the dentist's behavior.

This is in fact, the worst dental office I've ever been to, I don't know if it's because it's a chain, probably so, but I definitely won't be going back. My first experience was a cleaning and general exam, a typical exam, X-rays were taken, health history/concers discussed, followed by the cleaning. Everybody here seems as though they hate their job, nobody smiling at you. Nobody's telling you to have a good day or asking how your day has been, just seems like nobody really wants to be there . I have never had cavities, but I guess there's a first for everything. My follow up appointment was booked about a week later which I went in for, for someone who has never had a filling I did opt in for nitrous gas, I was told it was only a $10 extra charge just for it to be an extra $50 charge. I then had also asked for a whitening to be done, I assumed from my previous schooling that this is going to be an in office medical grade teeth whitening session, that was not the case! I was fitted essentially with a rubber Invisalign tray and given a syringe full of at home teeth whitener that could be purchased off the shelf at Walmart. Which, if you ask me being that they say teeth whitening on their website, I personally feel if it's not being done by the dentist then that's just false advertisement, but whatever. My biggest issue is that during my exam I was chemically burned! The dentist performing the exam didn't seem to be all that concerned, he did end the session only after I asked that we stop because I could no longer continue because it was burning so badly. No report was done. No photos were taken, no evidence collected whatsoever that I was harmed on their property. I left immediately went to Care Now, was informed that I was in fact chemically burned. They treated me, and sent me on my way. Did I get a phone call or a follow up from Mint asking how I'm doing; checking in on a patient that was injured in their clinic? Absolutely not! They didn't care one bit. 8 people in the office not a single one! Being that I had already paid for my services I reluctantly did go back to have the glue from past braces removed. The dentist this time was different. She on the other hand was fantastic!Unfortunately, I did not get her name, but her customer service skills and her concern for her patient is the only reason this review has two stars instead of one, and although she is a great dentist and has fantastic bedside manners it seems as though she's the only one who enjoys her job.
