Rude customer service, and they are worse then the pest, they call you everyday or text you constantly to get u to get their services. i changed my mind about scheduling an appointment and the customer service rep got rude about it. I went over her text about pricing they gave me nd it didn't make sense so i changed my mind about service with them. This is a picture of conversation. The technician who came out, I think Zan was his name, used every trick in the book. He said he served my neighbors, he said because the truck was coming out anyway it was going to be a low price, he tried to threaten talking about how much damage pests can do and even after I clearly asked him to leave he kept asking things like "do you use another service, or do you handle it yourself?" I would give this business zero stars if I could! The customer service is terrible!! Long hold time (15-20 min) just to schedule an appointment. The sugar ants and spiders returned in a couple weeks. They rescheduled my second appointment 3 times and came at the wrong time so I wasn't even home. I also asked to be called 30 minutes in advance so they could spray inside and I never received the call so they sprayed outside and left. I called and asked to speak to a manager and they wouldn't transfer me. When I requested to cancel due to their poor service I was told that would be a $250 fee for breaking my contract. I should have gone with Long's Pest Control. I'm so angry and disappointed. Don't make the mistake I did. read more

We had initial service, the old vapor barrier and insulation was removed, they packed it all up and hauled it away and installed a new vapor barrier and insulation. This is a scam. I really wanted and needed a good pest control company but this one is not one. I was told i was going to get this costly initial service but he was only there for 15 minutes. I was quoted so many different prices and when i called to complain about them changing the a different prices i was told if I don't like it you can cancel and they will just charge me for the balance of the contract. For a friend: Their sales representatives are liars, offering to set up pest control that you can chose the pmt method for, yet magically you get roped into a year contract!?! That was never discussed. Accts manager says $250 ETF for canceling with their company. Don't agree to do business with this company! They then refuse to refund those UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES, not a single signature from me to use my debit card, no agreement to have reoccurring charges. Terrible acct managers she was telling me she's tryin to help me for me to calm down, yet refuses to fix this issue and remove my card....misleading information, no communication and ZERO documentation. Edited to say the communication has improved. They follow up & when I call & reached out via phone & email We called in 2020 about ants. We still have ants coming in to the house. They have taken up to 6 weeks to respond to my requests for service; when I email I am told to call a number to schedule, but that automated system hangs up on me with no option to leave a message. Changed from quarterly to monthly billing in 2022 & increased charge by $80/year; I did not get the email notification from them. I asked in 2022 (& again in 2024 because it didn't happen the first time) to go back to quarterly billing. Generally poor communication and unresponsive to customer requests. When I actually get to talk to a person, they are nice. The technicians who come to our house seem to know about pest control. They have not been informed about what we needed or requested and as a result sometimes don't have the tools to complete the job, but they know what to do & how to do it. Salesperson would not leave my property even after I said I was not interested. They then asked me for my name and other personal information, even though I was not interested - this was likely to scam my neighbors by dropping my name and saying I was using their services. I finally had to shut and lock the door on them since they would not leave me alone. Several neighbors had similar experiences. Even if I needed pest control services in the future, I would not use or recommend Alta Pest Control based on how their employees operate. read more

They provided service one time. Ive been charged $60 a month for 5 months. I never received an email, paper letter, text or call reminding me about this monthly fee. We switched over to Alta because they offered pest and bug treatment. My wife and I thought that was great one company who says they can do it all. At the time we had two different companies for rodents and one for bugs. so we made the switch and it was the absolute worst decision! the mice came back, we had spiders inside and around the perimeter of our house. we called numerous times and they would no show. finally got a hold of someone and they laughed at my wife on the phone. I was calling practically everyone in the city to try to pick up a dead bunny on my property. Many pest control companies don't offer pick up services for dead animals other than rats. Our current pest control service was taking a while to call me back. Finally I stumbled across Alta Pest Control and they were the first to reply back to me within an hour. The rate they quoted me was much less than my current company and they were able to send out a contractor on the same day. Within just another hour and a half of waiting, problem solved. Alta Pest Control was used for a rodent exclusion for attic. We were quoted a high price, thousands, but was told it was an all day job and expertise would be needed. Apparently the salesman got a LARGE commission because they only spent 2 hrs doing the job and the job consisted of simple box store supplies that anyone could do. Then they had to come back multiple times just to fix those 2hrs of work. It got so bad we got the Director involved to check the work. They would always show up late even when the Director set up the appt. Zero respect. The Director said he'd review cost and get back to me, never did. Just let them spray for bugs, but don't think they're capable of handling any bigger jobs, you'll be very sorry. Very poor communication (ie none), but always send a text for a tip after job is done. read more

Disappointment isn't strong enough!! They cancelled twice, charged my account and received payment for not coming and doing the service. Had issues with their license for a temporary time which resulted in them not being able to service their customers, and during that time is when I was charged. Tell me I am locked into a year contract so I have no choice but to pay. ( I am looking into to this. )My contract was for a licensed business, they defaulted that. My contract was for monthly service, they defaulted on that. My contract was guaranteed service, again they defaulted on that. Will not recommend. read more

They have the absolute worst sales people! Ignoring signs that say no soliciting then banging on my door, then giving a pitch for service but not saying who they are or what they do. So rude! We used them once and the service was terrible too. Train your kids better, they don't deserve to learn to be slimy at such a young age. Not respecting homeowners is not the way to get business. Most horrible service one can receive. Totally unprepared. I had a wasp nest in my attic that needed removal. I was promised that if I entered a one year contract in would include removal of the nest. I was also told that the contract included rodent treatment. The first appointment the technician didn't even know he came to remove a wasp nest. He had no bee suite and just sprayed the outside exterior that just more wasps to sworm all over my yard. The second appointment I demanded at least two people to come out. One put a bee suite on but didn't go in the attic for liability reasons and they don't climb latters for liability reasons so how am I going to get any kind of service? The third appointment was an inspector for the rat issue. I'm thinking he going to lay rat traps in various places to start treating the issue. But no, he wanted to charge me $3500 to plug holes that may enter under my house and was pretty aggressive telling me "you have to do this" I told him "I don't have to do anything". he then lowers the price to $1800 if I act today. I not trying to buy a used car. I just want this wasp next removed. After attemping to cancel my contract, they tried pushing my contract out six months to give them opportunity to provide service. After three failed attempts, I don't think they have the ability to provide any type of service that will benefit a homeowner. If you want a big disappointment you can try them out at your own risk. I have not used them, however, they have approached our house twice in the past couple days by different door to door salesman. First off, there is a No Soliciting sign clearly posted on my door. However, this evening during the second approach after 7 PM, my dogs were getting riled up and he was not leaving so I opened the door. He laughed and said "thanks for holding the beasts back." Then he tried to say he was working with our neighbors on pest control which I know to not be true. I told him we already had a pest control person and we were happy with their service, which is true. Then he proceeded to ask me how much we were paying them and how often they were coming, etc. I declined to answer those questions. Finally he left. I checked with my husband and that was the exact same pitch he was given just a couple days ago. Personally, I don't trust any company who clearly doesn't respect people's wishes. They try to upsell their service well not providing the basic service that they promised. In addition, their representative, flat out lied to me about their hours of operation and when I would be able to contact them. We used this service for quite some time. We had repeated issues of not knowing if they even came out to service. No, leave behind that they were there, bait boxes not filled, serviced the neighbor's house twice. We canceled the services and the next quarter they billed us. No idea if they were there. We had already filled new bait boxes ourselves. They wanted me to update my credit card so they could charge us. I had a long conversation and thought all was resolved. Then I received a collection letter. I have paid it to prevent a credit ding but they need to refund me for services never performed. Not a very organized system. read more
