Santiago did an amazing job with Olivia, my Goldendoodle! It was her first time getting professionally groomed, so I was a little nervous as to how she'd do. We took our two goldendoodles here for their first visit to a groomer. They were able to get us in quickly, unlike a lot of other groomers in the area who aren't taking new clients. They were extremely nice when dropping off the dogs, they made the dogs feel comfortable and at ease. We asked for the full groom, they trimmed their nails, brushed out any mats, cleaned their ears, and trimmed their coats. When picking up the dogs they were excited to see us but were at ease and comfortable with the Santiago. It is clear that he really has a special ability to connect with dogs. Very odd place had great reviews. Owner has been doing a great job grooming pets for decades. A one man place, so lots of personal attention. Very expensive, but happy with the results. The doggie is happy too, not fearful or timid. The over abundance of plants and worn furniture smells incredibly moldy, but could be the old building. My sister was happy with the results. We took our cat to Santi for the first time. She had mats all over her body. We had tried to get them out ourselves but had problems as she is a biter. We told Santi about this and we had reservations about leaving her. He called to say she was ready and we knew she had to have misbehaved. When we went to pick her up, Santi was still in one piece, no apparent bites, and he was smiling. He must have magic beans or something because our wildcat was bathed and mat free. Santi had done everything we had been unable to do. WOW! We were pleasantly surprised and totally amazed! Now our kitty is much happier and more comfortable without those tight mats in her fur! We have been coming to Santi for many years with our Persian cat and Lhasa Apsos, all long-haired animals. Santi is not only a magician with soap and scissors but he is very caring and compassionate with our "kids." Lhasas have been bred for over 2,000 years to determine friend from foe and are "chary of strangers" reads the breed standard. Let me just say they don't kiss on the first date. Our dogs, Sonny (intact male) especially, loves Santi and jumps in the car when we mention that is where we are going. Santi gave him his first 1.5 hour crewcut when we retired him from the show ring and has a special aura whereby even the most traumatic procedure is pleasant for the animal. Some folks, by blessing and training, have the St. Francis touch: That is Santi. And he also does a great job. Sonny struts out of his shop like a movie star and gets many complements when I take him, after his baths and cuts, to the Cypress Inn or for a hot dog on Lighthouse. Yes, our boy has ME trained well. You will be glad you trusted your pet with Santi. This was my first time taking my dog to this pet salon and so far I am very happy with the experience. The salon is very cute and cozy & Santiago was very nice. He was very professional & caring towards my dog. My dog had mats all over including dandruff and needed to be shaved and pampered and he got just that. My dog left the pet salon very happy and energetic. Sidenote: my dog can be aggressive but Santiago seemed to know how to deal with it so I am very grateful towards him. Just had my first appointment with him for my recently adopted Jack Russell mix . Since I'm a fairly new transplant to the area I found out about this place on here, and I have to say the reviews are very accurate. He did an excellent job, was very easy to set up an appointment and the pricing is about what I usually paid for grooming for a dog back on the east coast. And a plus, my dog seems to get along with him! Just a helpful tip, he takes cash or check so be prepared if you're used to paying for everything on credit card.
