When we got the Jumbo size high efficiency washer, we had to upgrade the pipes to bigger ones to avoid overflow. So the previous plumber had to tear out the wall which left a big hole that needs to be patched on. Since the new pipes are much bigger than the previous ones, they were sticking out a little bit from the wall surface. We needed someone who's really great at drywall to do this job. So glad we found Ruslan. He got it done in a timely manner and solved the "sticking out" issue and his work is FLAWLESS!! His fee was very reasonable. As a regular yelp user (not one of those who only has one review), I tried calling a few handymen with impeccable ratings. The first wanted to charge $100 for the estimate/ 2 hours of work. Hmmm, I only needed help with a small job. The second guy called me back... 3 days later and said he was too busy for a small job. Then I called the Altadena Handyman. Dude said that he could show up the next day and would give a free estimate. He shows up on time and looks at my job and starts working on it. About an hour later when it is fixed I ask him how much I owe him and he says $30. What!?! Only $30? I give him $40 since I don't have change and he earned at least that much. He was nice and helped look at some other potential projects that I have. Gave me advice for how to approach them and even said I could do them in my own. He will be my go to handyman. I have used Ruslan twice so far for plumbing services. The first time was for a new bathroom faucet installation. He first came by my house to examine the job and gave me very fair price bid. He returned within a few days after he had all parts and did an excellent install of faucet, along with supply lines and valve. In the process, he also found some leaky pipes below and repaired this, along with the broken stopper for no additional charge. 2 weeks later, while I was having a new roof installed on my home, the roofer punctured a copper cold water line that was not to code and too close to plywood sheathing. I called Ruslan as an emergency on a Sat morning. I texted him a picture of the isolated pipe. He was at my home in a matter of 2 hrs, with all the necessary parts and did an excellent repair of the puncture. His pricing was extremely fair for the emergent nature and on a Saturday. I got 5 or 6 quotes to have my tv mounted and almost changed my mind about having it mounted because the cheapest quote I got was $220. I called Ruslan and he came over a few hours after I called, same-day, and mounted my tv, hung a large picture above my bed (which required moving my bed), installed a towel rack, and moved some big exercise equipment down three flights of stairs for less than the other companies I called were going to charge for just the tv mounting.
