As a last effort to keeping my business local, I made an appointment with White Willow. When I arrived, I was greeted by the store owner Kelli and she asked what type I was looking for and showed me the dresses. She made suggestions and let me and my group pick them out. The store was beautiful inside, with a very upscale feel. I was feeling unsure because of the sizing on the dresses I had already tried. I had already been to other stores where none of the dresses would zip or come close to zipping and was forced to come out with a completely open back and show people and look in the mirror and "pretend" that it would be perfect in another size. I was pleased to see that at White Willow the dress sizes started at 12 and went up, and had different styles mixed on the rack. You didn't have to go to a certain "section" based on your size. After trying on the 1st dress with Kelli, I knew this place was amazing. She made me feel so comfortable and I was soon able to relax and enjoy trying on dresses. And the dresses! Are gorgeous, quality gowns that are quite true to size. I am a size 14-16 and I was able to zip or almost zip all dresses that I tried on near that size range. And the ones that wouldn't quite zip, Kelli pulled together and made them feel like they fit. Out of 6 dresses I found my perfect one, and actually bought it off the rack that night because for once, it fit! Kelli was very professional, both in her appearance and knowledge for wedding dresses. She took her time to make sure I found what I wanted and needed. Appointments at White Willow are also private, so you have the undivided attention you deserve as a bride. AND After I said yes to my dress, we celebrated with complimentary wine! The experience I had at White Willow, is what every bride should get when looking for a dress. I simply cannot express, how impressed I was with this business and the service I received. I would highly recommend White Willow to anyone looking for a wedding dress, and go here first!

As a result I needed to find a new one. Four months is a tight timeline, but Mariah was my consultant and she calmly helped me find some new options. I was able to find something off of the rack that I really like and I left feeling 100% better about my wedding! I will also note that I visited this store earlier on in my dress search process (maybe 7-8 months ago) and they were not as impressive, they seem to really be working on customer service. Pros: Range of styles available, good prices, frequent sales, on-site alterations. The staff is also very nice and you can get an appointment with very short notice (same day). Cons: This location does not necessarily have as many choices as other David's locations I have visited in larger metro areas. It's also important to keep in mind that this is not an upscale boutique, so the store doesn't necessarily feel as glamorous as some others and you won't find some of the more intricate styles you may see elsewhere. Bottom line: Great place to go, particularly if you are in a tight spot (i.e. dress problems) or on a budget.

We want your wedding dress shopping experience to be warm, comfortable, and joyful. And we want you to strut down that aisle on the big day with confidence because you ARE beautiful!" on their website, it is a wild thing to have someone working there that body shames anyone bigger than her and ruining what's supposed to be a once in a life time experience for a young bride along with crushing her self esteem and making her feel anything less than when all she wanted to do was try on dresses, feel beautiful and find THE dress for her big day.

The saleswoman I was placed with was very cold and made the comment "You probably won't find your dress here" after showing her pics of what I liked within 5 minutes of being there. Throughout the appointment she was putting a big emphasis on certain things that may or may not fit me (I am considered "plus size" in many places) with a negative tone. She also made the comment that the dress I had tried on was about 10 sizes too small for me. I felt very judged and had to hold back tears at one point. I know what I look like, but I felt very defeated leaving the appointment. Their sizes on the floor did not feel as inclusive as I have seen most other places. Overall pretty disappointed I drove an hour to feel judged and the opposite of how a bride should feel when trying on dresses, no matter their size/shape.

She was sure to ask what the budget was to start the appointment and very cognizant of price and respectful throughout. Parking is a non issue. Miriam spent about 2 hours and 20 minutes with us, and I probably tried on about 6 or 7 dresses in total. She was very helpful in talking me through what kinds of dresses I thought I liked, and allowed me to not feel too narrowed into one "style" or shape, which I appreciated. She made genuine comments about how a dress flattered and accentuated my body, she never made me feel 'bad' about my body or size. She asked questions about my fiancée and discussed how she wants her brides to feel comfortable, beautiful, confident, and that during the dress shopping experience, to consider how you hope to feel on your wedding day. It was a really great experience! I am an LGBTQ bride and so it feels very important to me that my vendors (?), or folks involved in the wedding are affirming and supportive, and I definitely felt that with Miriam! We also had a good conversation about how getting more options for plus size dresses is an area of interest for the shop, and how pleased I was with the selection they did have. I tried on dresses from size 16-22, I believe. I wear a size 18 in Old Navy jeans, if that helps...! I have not decided on a dress yet, but I will definitely be making a follow up appointment with Brides by Jessa to continue my search.

Please make sure you are aware of the hours that this place is actually open before you consider…read morerenting anything! You should also know that the hours posted are actually "suggested" hours, and they are likely not going to be there anyway. If you call, you won't be able to leave a message because the inbox is full. If you text or instant message they won't respond for days. If you need examples I am more than willing to show those to you. You will spend $100's of dollars and get zero customer service, and the week of the wedding find out that 75% of the items don't fit because they didn't measure anyone and then ordered things incorrectly. Then they will tell you that must come in THAT day or you aren't guaranteed the correct vests reordered (because they ordered the wrong ones in the first place). You will show up at 4:00 when they open but they will be closed (like the last 3 days you showed up at 4:00 - finding the store closed). You will text and IM, only to have someone show up at 5:15 to finally OPEN the store when they close at 6:00!!! If you enjoy extra stress on a wedding week, this is the place to go. She complained during my try on and when I picked up my outfit to the point where I could not even bring myself to say thank you. She said she would never do it again in her life because it was too difficult and she should have charged me $100 more than what she charged me to begin with. I paid $135 for the alteration. I would not recommend going here unless you have something that just needs a simple hem.

Lesson learned, I guess, but I would have never assumed it would cost that much for a simple dress. I have never seen that kind of price at other dry cleaners I have used. Also, when I dropped it off, the sign said "anything dropped off today will be done by Wednesday." Well, Wednesday passed and I heard nothing. Once Friday rolled around and I still had not heard anything from them (besides the $37 charge to my credit card), I had to call to inquire, since I needed the dress for an event the next day. No answer. Someone (no idea who) from the store ends up texting me and tells me it "should be done" by the day that I need it by, and also, there is a stain on the dress that they could not remove. Okay, whatever. I just want the dang dress back. So at this point, I'm out $37 and the dress still has a stain on it (the whole reason I brought it in for dry cleaning). I get that maybe the stain just won't come out and that's fine/understandable, but now I am wondering what I paid $37 for. And to get it 3 days after they said it would done (8 days total). For one singular size extra small item. Learned my lesson and will definitely be using a different dry cleaner next time! Hopefully it actually ends up being done before I need it tomorrow - we'll see. Edit: picked it up this morning, hours before my event. The stains are very prominent on the front of the dress. Had I gotten it back on Wednesday, as I was promised, or even Thursday or Friday, I could have found another option before my event. Now it is the day of that the dress was ready to picked up, and it's too late to do anything about. Also, paid $37 for this, need I remind you. Wish I would have just used that money to buy a new dress. 0/10

Due to some fragile buttons on my dress shirts I now have them hand press some of my shirts (extra fee). Hope to they continue to find friendly, hardworking people to keep this convenient location going for another 30 years.
