ASIS (RB location) has been a total game changer in my case and I can't recommend them enough. I've…read moremade more progress working with Dr. "D" Catron and all the professional, dedicated PT Techs (especially Annika, whom I've been working with the most) in the last year than the previous 6yrs of conservative pain management (i.e. incompetent pain docs, epidural steroid injections, pain meds, numerous feeble PT attempts with mediocre PTs at substandard PT clinics, etc.) combined. My care plan is not only 100% tailored to me, but Deanna also personalizes every session based on how I'm feeling both physically/mentally that day, integrating mental/physical well-being in her practice. She takes the time to listen/understand how my condition impacts my life, finds ways for me to integrate my home care routine more easily/efficiently into my lifestyle, explains how each exercise/stretch works, and creates new ones on the spot to help save me time by combining several into one. Deanna truly goes above/beyond by taking the time to help me better understand my condition anatomically, how it affects me physically, and took things a step further by helping me understand my MRI/x-ray impressions ordered by the pain docs but never explained to me in a way I could understand by them. Thanks to her and Annika's profound empathy/compassion, unremitting encouragement/devotion, inexhaustible patience/support, and exceptional teamwork; I have managed to get off opioids completely, drastically cut down on multiple other addictive meds, regain confidence in my self/my ability to get better, and learn what I can do to continue along this path to recovery without having to get surgery. I'm no longer stumbling around in the dark and can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. They have completely transformed my life for the better and I sincerely hope they are getting the recognition/compensation they deserve for their relentless hard-work/efforts. Speaking of well deserved recognition/compensation for hard-work/efforts, I feel it's important that I mention all the other amazing PT Techs that have played a role in my journey to recovery (not in any particular order and hopefully spelled correctly): Jericho, Hanna, Blake, Chloe, Nick, Cora, and Jacob. Thank you to all with whom I've had the pleasure of working with at ASIS in Rancho Bernardo, words are not enough to express my gratitude for everything you have done for me!

The problem I have with this particular business is not the business itself, it instead the…read morebuilding it's located in. This is a case of style over substance. A physical therapy business should never be located in a building that can actually cause harm to individuals with handicaps, just by accessing it. What made it worse is that they did not provide any automatic door openers for anyone that's in a wheelchair. Another major negative strike against them. In order to get into the Select Physical Therapy suite you have to go through two extremely heavy doors. The business is located in a gorgeous Spanish-style hacienda-type building. But the doors feel like they have lead in them. I am coming for physical therapy because I have a very delicate neck and back. I hurt myself getting into the building before they even laid hands on me. They may be the best physical therapists in the world, but if I can't even get into the building without hurting myself, what good are they? Also, if you want to use the restroom inside the clinic, you have to go through two more sets of heavy doors. And then when you leave the restroom, you have to access these same two heavy doors yet again to get back into the clinic. And in order to leave the building, there's still the two original sets of heavy doors. So walking into this building, using the restroom, and leaving the clinic, I had to open these heavy doors a total of 8 times. When I left Select Physical Therapy in RB that day, I felt worse leaving than I did arriving. I had the most intense migraine, neck pain, and rib head pain because the doors caused my neck and rib heads to become misaligned. It's so ridiculous! Hopefully management will read this and show some wisdom by getting the heck out of that building into a more appropriate one. I went with a whole different PT company altogether because I can never trust a company that is so short-sighted.

To start, he was the one that pushed for me to get a MRI, which showed how bad my injury actually was. Secondly, he worked through my recovery process endlessly finding different approaches to the many issues we encountered. I'm still getting stronger and gaining more confidence in my knee, but I will forever be grateful to have found Josh and this facility during that critical time. The rest of the therapist and Daniel in the reception, are also some of the kindest people I've met. Thank you for such an amazing experience during that challenging time!

Andrew at Catalyst physical therapy in 4S Ranch is a top-notch physical therapist, and he goes above and beyond. He made sure I was doing my exercises correctly, to ensure I was targeting the right muscles. I really appreciated this because those small tweaks in how I move can make an enormous difference. He consistently ensured that my exercises remained challenging and changed things up as needed. His deep tissue work was also amazing, and it made a significant difference in my recovery. I was so happy when my shoulder pain and range of motion was better. I am back to my regular weight training at the gym with no pain and full range of motion. I highly recommend Andrew and Catalyst PT at 4S Ranch. Everyone I encountered was very knowable and helpful.

I have a small curve in my spine and was experiencing some acute mid-back pain when my primary care doctor referred me to SpineZone. I worked with Christy McClain, MPT. Christy is highly knowledgeable, a clear communicator, and so personable. She and Erin were an awesome care team. I felt listened to and my care plan was tailored to the reality of my progress (not a forced trajectory). The facility clean and modern with a collection of weight machines that are specific to spine patients. Honestly, it was very cool. By the end of my treatment I was enjoying hobbies again that I had to stop due to pain/discomfort, including big hikes. I feel stronger, more stable, and like myself again. WHAT I LIKED ~It felt like it had all the benefits of massage without having to disrobe and get all oily. ~Staff were friendly. ~Very clean -- they wipe down the tables between clients and the entire studio was spotless. ~No hard sell. WHAT I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED ~Slightly warmer room. ~More relaxing music instead of pop music. ~Individual/private room. ~One of the technicians was sniffing constantly, not sure if it was allergies or if she was sick, but it was distracting. ~Not to hear instructions or conversations between other technicians and clients. ~The hygiene paper covering the 'head hole' needed to be larger.
