Mostly DIY reception with iPads and a kiosk that is clearly an offsite answering service, therapists will be juggling 2-3 patients at a time with interns filling in the gaps, etc-- the whole operation reeks of massive cost cutting for profit. My care plan is not only 100% tailored to me, but Deanna also personalizes every session based on how I'm feeling both physically/mentally that day, integrating mental/physical well-being in her practice. She takes the time to listen/understand how my condition impacts my life, finds ways for me to integrate my home care routine more easily/efficiently into my lifestyle, explains how each exercise/stretch works, and creates new ones on the spot to help save me time by combining several into one. Deanna truly goes above/beyond by taking the time to help me better understand my condition anatomically, how it affects me physically, and took things a step further by helping me understand my MRI/x-ray impressions ordered by the pain docs but never explained to me in a way I could understand by them. Thanks to her and Annika's profound empathy/compassion, unremitting encouragement/devotion, inexhaustible patience/support, and exceptional teamwork; I have managed to get off opioids completely, drastically cut down on multiple other addictive meds, regain confidence in my self/my ability to get better, and learn what I can do to continue along this path to recovery without having to get surgery. I'm no longer stumbling around in the dark and can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. They have completely transformed my life for the better and I sincerely hope they are getting the recognition/compensation they deserve for their relentless hard-work/efforts. My surgeon had sent the surgical report and his referral here. I was lucky to get Mauricio. He took his time and got to know me and my expectations. Overall, I was disappointed that the root cause was never identified or addressed. Their billing system is also inconsistent. I asked them to switch to charging a new credit card after a few sessions, but they continued charging to the old card. They also neglected to collect the correct amount from my first visit and waited 6 months to send a corrected statement.

I have a small curve in my spine and was experiencing some acute mid-back pain when my primary care doctor referred me to SpineZone. I worked with Christy McClain, MPT. Christy is highly knowledgeable, a clear communicator, and so personable. She and Erin were an awesome care team. I felt listened to and my care plan was tailored to the reality of my progress (not a forced trajectory). The facility clean and modern with a collection of weight machines that are specific to spine patients. Honestly, it was very cool. It features part sports massage, part stretching on a table with your clothes and socks on. ~You can put your personal belongings on a shelf under the table. WHAT I LIKED ~It felt like it had all the benefits of massage without having to disrobe and get all oily. ~Staff were friendly. ~Very clean -- they wipe down the tables between clients and the entire studio was spotless. ~No hard sell. Sprained my knee and she worked her magic. Yes, "magic" walked out feeling 60% better. Swelling has gone down. Expect to make a speedy recovery. I'd seen a variety of healers from chiropractic and sports masseuse to medical and orthopedic…read moredoctors. They could only tell me that my back or ankles were not aligned, but they couldn't tell me what was causing my pain or how to relieve it. Then I found Jera, and in the first consultation she identified the source of my problems and helped me! After the first appointment, I was amazed, and by the second appointment I was almost totally pain-free. Jera has a very positive, practical approach to healing and explains things in a way that makes sense. She provided me very simple exercises to help maintain my improvements, and I also found that I can use the exercises when my knee gets tweaked and I'm "restored" like magic! I went in to address a gradual decline that over the years started to affect my ability to exercise and finally even walk. I left able to walk, jump, run, and dance! What's more, the improvements have sustained...it's been 1.5 years since my last appointment and I haven't had any issues. However, I'd go back to Alternative Physical Therapy in a heartbeat if I have any problems in the future. I'd recommend Jera to anyone who is suffering or just wants to optimize their performance!
