After doing a dead hang in my garage in January, my right shoulder was very painful, and I had limited range of motion. He made sure I was doing my exercises correctly, to ensure I was targeting the right muscles. I really appreciated this because those small tweaks in how I move can make an enormous difference. He consistently ensured that my exercises remained challenging and changed things up as needed. His deep tissue work was also amazing, and it made a significant difference in my recovery. I was so happy when my shoulder pain and range of motion was better. I am back to my regular weight training at the gym with no pain and full range of motion. I went to catalyst physical therapy for my scheduled evaluation, only to find out that my appointment called and they never told me. There was some confusion about my insurance, and I had spoken directly to my insurance company with the insurance person from catalyst on the phone who confirmed everything was fine, but yet The appointment was canceled and they did not bother to tell me. Catalyst changed my life! I had three herniated discs right on top of each other I couldn't sleep, stand, sit...basically live life. I've been to physical therapists before and all they did was give me exercise sheets from the 80s. Catalyst not only has the exercises (a lot of them being new exercises I've not seen before), but they have a short hands on portion to help massage problem areas. I really like how the clinic also is proactive on learning new techniques so they're not stuck in the same pattern. I'm able to run, exercise, and no longer cry when I wake up. As background, I have done PT since my early 20s for a variety of injuries, mainly all sports related. I had a good therapist in Maryland, but she was always split to 3 or 4 people at a time, so there was some time spent waiting for direction. I did not like that the therapist's time was split up so much, seemingly to maximize the number of patients and increase profits. Catalyst has been much more of a personal experience. The therapists are able to do the exercises themselves, which helps with demonstration and just general credibility (it is better when someone can do the exercises that they are advocating). I was admittedly suspicious of working with a PT aid, just less experienced and I want to get as much as I can out before insurance cuts me off. But the aids have been really good and hands on - helpful demonstrating exercises and monitoring while I do them. Overall, I am extremely happy with my experience at Catalyst! The facility in 4S is a little small, but exercises are body weight or only a few dumbbell weights, so no need for lots of machines. I really like the ease of appointment system, the text messaging reminders, and ability to text to change or cancel. I am also super appreciative that staff wear face masks during my appointments. I realize it is now uncommon and the world is over Covid, but my health complications and the health of my wife during the current medical process means that we still have to be cautious because we are in a different place than the rest of the world. Overall, just very appreciative! Only wish would be for the facility in 4S to be a little larger, but it's Southern California and rent/real estate costs are illogically high and require donation of bodily organs. read more

Catalyst is an outstanding Physical Therapy clinic. In my 65 years I have been to a bunch of PT clinics but Andrew and the team of people at Catalyst are special. Other clinics seem to be focused on #1, getting paid, #2, having me sit in the waiting area, and #3, rushing through a 30 minute treatment. At Catalyst, they are focused on how "you" are doing and getting you healthier. It's a noticeably friendly environment and they really make you feel like family. I always have a lot of questions and Andrew is ready to give me the "what, why and how" the various treatments, stretching and strength exercises will advance my health. He continuously adjusts and modifies the treatments and home exercises each session to improve my conditions. I will never be 25 again, but the multiple weeks of 60 minutes sessions have definitely helped me in my various sports and activities. I highly recommend Catalyst and the team in 4S Ranch. read more

I absolutely love Catalyst! I am a soccer player and I hurt my ankle a lot, so I came to Catalyst to help. My physical therapist was Katie and she was amazing! She was very positive and helpful and she always made sure I was doing my exercises correctly. Katie got hired to be Wave FC's physical therapist, so I got Lindsay. Like Katie, Lindsay was so sweet, helpful, and caring. She is helping me improve my running form and agility for soccer and I can see a difference already. I've been a patient of Andrew's for a while. Initially I came to see him about a shoulder hip and ankle problem from playing tennis. Andrew was like Sherlock Holmes and got to working on diagnosing the true source of the problems. I got a customized exercise plan along with different therapies that he uses on different body parts. I wanted to let you know what a pleasure it was to have my physical therapy sessions at your RB location. Both my ankle/balance and rotator cuff have immensely improved thanks to Dr Lindsay Russo and the staff. From the front desk, where Christian greeted me and scheduled my sessions, to the assistance from the Aides, and Dr Russo's fantastic manner, I had a superb experience at Catalyst. Dr Russo was the perfect physical therapist for me (and I'm sure many others). From the start she created a great personal relationship by understanding my needs and goals tailored her treatment to achieve those goals. She personally walked me through all the exercises and stretches, as often as she was able performed them with me so I can model my movement after the correct form. She even went steps further to email me links to videos she or a colleague created to assist in my "homework." This was so very helpful to see the movements on one of my devices as I was trying to remember the movements, unlike others I've experienced where I was given a drawing. simply excellent! I could tell and feel as she worked on my ankle and rotator cuff areas that the therapy was making a difference immediately. Her "Bedside Manner" is simply superior as she explained what she was doing and how the exercises all connected ti improve my physical deficiencies. Through my interaction with her, she put me at ease and in a very positive way helped me improve to the point my balance is so much stronger and rotator cuff so much stronger. She was also a delight to watch with the Aides. She knew since they were all future Physical Therapists, she gave them a lot of responsibility for my rehabilitation. They were all awesome. She mentored them and kept moving to ensure they were developing and keeping interested by explaining what the specifics of my treatment were in terms they could visualize and understand. This is a great way prospective PTs will grow and maybe even come back for future employment. The facility at RB is a very positive and healing place to be in large part to Dr Russo.
