However I thought their practices around the fee structure were extremely shady. First of all, for a community center you charge a crazy amount. It's meant to be accessible and not an elite club which is what this has turned into. A name change should be well in order if they're not serving the community they belong to. Please note they are a non profit organization. Secondly they will charge you an arm and a leg for classes and membership, they will update your pricing and not give you notice. I think the fact that they don't list their prices on their website are true testament to my statement. I dropped my membership as it stopped being worth the $500 I was paying for me and the kids per month (only one of my kids was doing swim lessons) their swim classes helped for a little and then the teachers were replaced with new ones who didn't care much about the students. I ended up quitting and unless their pricing is more transparent and less elitist I'd rather drive a little bit longer.

I wanted to take a moment and talk about what I most admire about Herb. When someone has the level of success Herb has had, it would be really easy for him be hard on students that don't have the same ability as he did. Herb and his staff never pushed my son too hard. They let Keanu come in, work at his own pace and pushed him only at the right times. The long game is working as my son Keanu is really enjoying class and has now asked to come in 3 days a week instead of 2 days a week to train more. When my son first joined 4 years ago, there were a bunch of students. I didn't know if he was just going to be a number. I am happy to report that Keanu is not just a number to Herb and his staff. When I look into Herb's eyes, I can see that he really cares about my son and wants what is best for his future. What parent could ask for more? Herb has plenty of students but was also nice enough to praise our family for our loyalty with staying with him through the pandemic which means the world to us. I highly recommend Peak Performance to anyone looking to better themselves or their children!

She's been my trainer since 2023, and my health has never been better. She's Hawaiian sunshine in human form, always upbeat, which definitely helps at 7 a.m. Her happy-go-lucky energy is so constant I can't decide if she's my trainer or just a very cheerful Energizer Bunny in disguise. She's also dedicated, always learning the latest fitness research to fine-tune my workouts. She helped me get stronger, and now we're tackling weight loss. But don't think it's all serious science--sessions with her are also comedy shows. She'll get distracted, lose count of my reps (always when they're the hardest ), and then showers me with a nonstop chorus of "Good job! Good job!" until I finally give her the side-eyes . But here's the thing: even with the chaos, Chermayne knows exactly what she's doing. She motivates me, keeps me accountable, and somehow makes sweating buckets feel fun. If you want a trainer who'll push you, cheer you on, occasionally forget what number you're on, and still make every workout the highlight of your day--Chermayne's your girl.

Working with Wayne at Morph Fitness is the single best decision I've made for my health. His holistic, customized approach fits a busy life -- as a working mom and surgeon I didn't think I had time to eat well or exercise, but Wayne helped me prioritize my health. I now have far more energy and feel stronger, which makes me a better mom and surgeon. Wayne's knowledge and passion exceed expectations. He understands the mechanics of every muscle and designs intentional programs tailored to your goals. He immediately identified my poor posture from years in the OR and systematically strengthened the right muscles while using targeted stretching and bodywork to relieve chronic tension. A former physical therapist, he blends corrective work with performance training. Wayne is tough but fair -- he corrects form until it's flawless and gives simple, actionable changes that become lasting habits. His nutrition guidance isn't a fad: it kept me full and energized, addressed chronic dehydration (I now drink at least half my body weight in ounces of water), and eliminated the need for sugary snacks. I increased my daily steps and added targeted supplements. In four months I've lost 10 lbs, dropped under 20% body fat, gained significant muscle, and am down a clothing size. Most importantly, my chronic back pain has resolved, my posture is much improved, and I feel the healthiest and happiest I've ever been.

The all-day hike is something she's just started offering, and I went on Saturday. A group of ~10 of us all carpooled to Big Sur. This was probably the most challenging hike I've been on (if you're experienced, it would be a moderate hike, if you're a newbie I'd say challenging). We started with ~3 miles, mostly uphill towards the ridge overlooking the ocean. We stopped there for lunch, lovingly prepared by Sunita, and rested and took in the view. We then made our way down the winding side of the mountain, taking in the changing landscape the whole way. We ended up on the beach, rested our tired feet in a creek for a bit, and finished up with a short yoga session in the sand complete with wine & cheese. Total distance and time: 7.5 miles, 4-5 hours. The price of the hike included transportation, snacks, lunch, guided hike and yoga. An added bonus is that you get to meet folks from all her different classes -- many of the folks I had seen before but since it was an all day even I got to know them a lot better. Highly recommend!

Despite everything, Nico kept me grounded, positive, and focused. Workouts, macros, water, protein, protein, PROTEIN! He has a way of keeping you in the game even when life is throwing everything at you. This session had a tighter timeline -- I was prepping for a very special family event -- so the approach was more of a sprint compared to the gradual builds we've done in past sessions. Different, but it worked. And the real test? Traveling right before the event -- no gym, couldn't track macros, water intake was a mess -- and I still felt AMAZING. I showed up feeling like the best version of myself. That is 100% because of Nico. He is more than a trainer. He's a coach, a cheerleader, and an inspiration. The tools and mindset he's given me go beyond any single goal because at the end of the day, this is a lifestyle. Nico was super nice in the beginning, but as time passed, he started being pretty rude and condescending in his replies to me. The owner, Pattie, really lives her yogic teachings and is exceptionally kind and gracious. She also leads fantastic classes that are the perfect mix of physical challenge and spiritual reflection/meditation. What's also really great is that she offers in person classes in addition to virtual-- the doors and windows of the studio are left open so masks are optional. Normally she offers outdoor classes as well but has stopped due to the arrival of more wintry weather (however there are still a few weekly outdoor classes with Olga). Olga and Grace are wonderful instructors as well-- both really get you in a good flow and you'll be buzzing with high vibes afterwards. I've taken far more classes with Grace, who is one of the sweetest, most skilled instructors I've found and really takes the time to make sure everyone has proper alignment. She takes everyone's personal needs and limitations into account yet really motivates you to push yourself farther than you thought you could go. At the moment she is only offering virtual classes. Overall this is just such a warm, welcoming studio with very intimate classes that span all levels of ability. I cherish it for what it has done for my physical and mental health!

I stood outside calling (along with 2 other patrons) for 10 mins. When Olga arrived the only thing she said was "are you registered?" The class was disjointed and confusing, and transitions were awkward. No forecasting poses, no breath engagement, no explanation of proper form or alignment. Olga taught to the camera or the mirror the whole time (I was not told we'd be on camera or recorded).. Another student tried to tell Olga that she felt pain in some of the poses and Olga told her to try to remember which poses it was and remind her at the end of class. Afterwords, Olga didn't say one word to any of the students except to remind one woman to register.
