It's Thanksgiving, I am a days drive away. I have no way to go there and get a refund and take my business elsewhere. No calls, no emails or texts to let me know if there was an issue. My out of state mother-in-law ordered a double orchid and a balloon from them and they delivered a gorgeous, huge full bloomed beauty whose blossoms held on for 3 months (am anxiously awaiting the next bloom) and an appropriate balloon for the occasion. Chris from Always Affordable Flowers did all of the floral arrangements for my wedding in July and for my sister's wedding in October. She is everything you want in a florist and MORE.. gorgeous, gorgeous work, willing to throw in things she "just ordered" to make your wedding visually appealing, and willing to personally deliver to ceremony and/or reception. She also picks up the next morning! AUGH - we just loved her!! We met with her for a proposal at a Starbucks near my home. Within the hour, my now-husband made the "face" so I knew he was on board. Hired her that minute and put down the $100 deposit. My mom also adored her.. Chris has hands that worked with flowers all day. While she is not the tech-savvy florist with a website full of recent photographs, Chris brings many photo albums with work dating back decades and in all locations (including St. Patrick's Church, where I got married). She had great ideas - for example, my colors were cream and gold so she offered to do select gold leaves in the bouquets, gold wire wraps, and a special shiny black/gold wrap for my husband's boutonniere. She always does pearl bracelets for MOHs.. It's the details!! We had an innate trust in her. Plus, her prices were better than the local competitors I talked to, so the business name is appropriate. She is the REAL DEAL! And yes, she did a beautiful job. Chris showed up to the bride's prep place with joy and beautiful bundles of fresh flowers. She then delivered the rest to the reception hall in perfect condition. At my sister's, she went to the church and took over these gorgeous glass hand-lit lanterns she had just purchased for the aisle. Everyone commented on the lovely mood they set! I have heard nothing but good things about Chris from my friends that have used her in the past so when my Mother unexpectedly passed away I was very grateful that as lease this part of my dealings would be taking care of. Chris showed up on time set up the arrangements took the time to say her condolences and meet my family. Highly recommend!!! Ordered over the phone for next day delivery. Told them the amount I want to spend for an all white arrangement in a short vase and they made it happen! There was a mix-up with the delivery address. At first I gave them my sister's home address, but decided the last minute that I rather have it delivered to her work place. I found Chris through the Yelp app the last year. I was looking for someone to make floral arrangements for my wedding, since I live in Canada and for work reasons, I couldn't be present to plan everything regarding to my wedding. I contacted her two months before the event and all our agreements were through calls and emails. Our wedding was simple and intimate. I explained her my ideas and what I wanted in my arrangements and she went beyond my expectations. I met her a week before my wedding. She took care of the salon decor, made my wedding bouquet, my fiancé's boutonnière, a corsage for my mother and the centerpieces. I am more than satisfied with her works. If I could give zero stars I would. Where do I begin. My daughter ordered a bouquet of flowers for myself and her grandmother. She ordered multiple color tulips for her grandmother and orchids for her mother. When the flowers arrived, we only received 1 order and it was a dozen red roses. The card that my daughter wrote was never put on paper along with the roses. Chris actually asked, if she would like me to write the card up in her vehicle. I responded, no..I mean for what at this point...just read it to me. So, not only were I given the wrong flowers, the other order never arrived. Just like every consumer, if I purchase something that wasn't even what I ordered, I requested a refund. Mother's Day was last month. It is now June 6th. And I still haven't gotten my refund. Chris has told me she would stop by my house with the cash, and she has yet to come by. Chris has told me she would submit for a refund, and there seems to be a problem ( she says systems are down). Chris has said she would send through PayPal and specifically asked me to request the money, and she has yet to give me my 100.00 refund. I have called, I have left messages and Chris is now ignoring all of my phone calls and messages. Even after admitting that they screwed up. My next step is to take her to court. To some 100.00 is no big deal. But to my daughter who is a struggling student, it's a lot of money. Please do not buy flowers from this business. They are not organized, they are liars and their flowers are old and wilted. I will NEVER shop at this establishment. And if I were you, I wouldn't either. Absolutely amazing customer service! I ordered flowers to be delivered to a friend in the hospital only to find out upon delivery that were are not allowed on the oncology floor. As they are still very fresh, I was told by AAF that they will be able to sell them and will deliver a stuffed animal and Mylar balloon instead. Although I offered to pay for both the flowers and the new delivery, I was told it wasn't necessary, although it was my error for not researching what was allowed at the hospital. I was so surprised at such a nice gesture. my friend will truly appreciate this as she is going through a very difficult time right now. read more

Boyfriend ordered me flowers (ordered Fri for Mon delivery) for my Birthday through FromYouFlowers.com. When the order was delivered on my Birthday (Monday, 10-13-14) we were told, "they need water." Ummm NO, they needed CPR and that wasn't going to do much good. They were not only wilted, they were brown and there were petals missing. When BF asked how they looked I had to tell him he was NOT going to be happy. He was livid. He immediately called FromYouFlowers & they said they would have another bouquet delivered. By 4:30pm Tuesday I had not heard anything from Always Affordable, so I called the numbers on the card. But.....when she delivered them she asked for the 1st bouquet back...problem with that is we had thrown them away earlier today, due to them making a huge mess of falling petals, etc. She then asked for the vase they had come in.....I kept 2 stalks of Eucalyptus for the scented leaves and had stripped them into the vase. I ordered a small bouquet of flowers from this company to be delivered May 9, 2020 to a home in Tacoma WA. I found the flowers in stock via their website and purchased them. I paid with a credit card and received an email confirmation. The problem is, the flowers never arrived. Upon finding this out, I attempted to call the company and no answer. I sent someone to the place of business to see if they were open, it was a private residence, not a place of business! There were no signs of any kind. I have stopped my credit card and will complain to the FTC and CC company. I wish I could say the same as the other comments but my Valentine's day arrangement really disappointed. I was supposed to have a tall vase with 4 layers of flowers roses, carnations, lavender or purple babies breath and alstromeria in the deluxe form as well as chocolates. They came a day late, no carnations, lavender or chocolates. They came in a short clear vase that looks like the water came from an algae ridden water run off. The roses were Brown around the edges, the box they came is was wet and falling apart. Needless to say my hubby spent over $130 for 8 roses and an odd purple flower that wasn't even part of the arrangement. I submitted feedback and haven't heard anything. read more

Due to a system glitch, a flower bouquet I ordered online elsewhere that was to be delivered by Mother's Day was delayed...and they notified me the night before. Just beautiful. What's the point of a bouquet that arrives AFTER said holiday, right? Thus my search for a local florist shop commenced. I searched a few numbers and went to sleep, prepared to call first thing in the morning on the day of Mother's Day (taking into consideration the time difference, of course). Long story short, none of the Florists picked up except Always Affordable Flowers. I almost gave up hope because I was sure they would be fully booked for the holiday, but Chris was gracious enough to squeeze my order in; and without a delivery fee! The only thing that disappointed me was that the roses I was told would be included ended up not being part of the beautiful bouquet they put together. However I wasn't complaining, because I believe it's because they ran out due to multiple orders. Besides, I was just glad that they took my last minute order in the first place! Chris was contracted with us to do a small order for our wedding which included Cake flowers, Bouquets, Boutonnieres, and Corsages. First, I do want to say that the Bouquets were absolutely beautiful and I will gladly post pictures of them when we get them from the Photographer. The Cake flowers, Corsages and Boutonnieres were given to us in a box and were not labeled, so we had to try and remember what we ordered and then try to figure out what is for whom. It turned out that one of the corsages that we ordered and was in the contract and was paid for was not in the box. The flowers that were for the cake looked like boutonnieres, although they were quite large boutonnieres, but since they were not labeled we didn't know. The boutonnieres for the Grandfathers were quite tiny, like so tiny it would have been embarrassing to use them. Of course the large boutonnieres, that were actually cake flowers, fell apart and one of the regular groomsmen boutonnieres did too, even before the wedding started, so we had to fix them. Our biggest frustration was that it was very hard to contact Chris. She would not reply to any of our phone calls or emails or texts. She said we would get a contract within two weeks and it took 2 months. I wanted to pay our final payment, and I couldn't reach her. She was supposed to contact the bride one week prior, but never did. I asked her after the wedding about the cake flowers and the boutonnieres falling apart and the missing corsage and she said that "I worked very hard on those boutonnieres and the delivery lady was supposed to tell you what was what in the box." I asked the delivery lady what was what when she delivered them and all she told me was, "I don't know. The florist has another wedding today so she is very busy getting ready for that." So, as a result I would not recommend this florist. read more

If you want to be completely stressed out, have practically no communication until 2 days before your event and then have no instructions on anything then this is the place to go! Used her for my wedding and couldn't get ahold of her for weeks on end. I was supposed to receive a confirmation call one week before my wedding and never got it. Called repeatedly and finally got ahold of her two days before the actual wedding. Chris said the delivery person would give us instructions on everything since our wedding order was decent size. Chris did the flowers for my wedding. She worked for barely more than the cost of the flowers, which was really great for me, the bride on a budget! She had some great ideas during the consultation, which was nice. She was pretty helpful! The reason I give two stars is because, on the day of the wedding, we got the hair flowers which were not easily put in the hair, because of too much wire. She set up for the wedding in a timely manner, but took off before I could ask her any questions. The real part that upset me is that she promised to come pick up her arbor and the centerpieces between 9-11 that night, and never showed up. My family was stuck hauling all of the flowers away on their own (a full truckload with the arbor and 30 large centerpieces. Later, when my family called, she told them she had come to a road that was closed and turned back around. Well, considering people were able to get to my wedding just fine, I find that to be very unprofessional to the very least! All in all, she was ok, and she was a bargain, and the flowers were pretty. Fake flowers, and no self-accountability or respect for customers!!! We contracted Always Affordable for our wedding after agreeing upon bouquet designs and the design of the wedding as a whole, and thought she had a great handle on everything. We made sure to give her some pictures of the bridal bouquet specifically, and she said she could recreate the picture. In fact, we happily paid extra for all the orchids which would be required to create the bridal orchid/rose waterfall-style bouquet. What she delivered was a small, compact bouquet with a couple orchid stems sticking out. Both I (the groom) and the bride asked for more orchids and if she could make it more like what we had all agreed upon; she said she would do this, but then left the bouquet with one of the bride's attendants out of her sight and left the venue without changing anything. What is worse is that on inspecting the bouquet, one of the two orchid stems was not even a real flower! It was fake! Of course, we called her, and she immediately defended her work, cutting me off as I brought up that we were dissatisfied, saying "only one of the orchids was fake," as if it was acceptable to do this without informing us, and to take our additional money for a single, small orchid stem and a fake orchid. She was extremely rude, accusing us of bringing this up because we were cheap and didn't want to pay, never offering any reasonable recompense or even apology, and eventually accusing us of stealing some vase to try to get us to drop everything. She also got many of the other things we asked for wrong, and was extremely disorganized, constantly asking us questions we had answered multiple times before, and ending up getting the final products wrong - which wouldn't bother me too much, if she had apologized or taken responsibility for anything. I would recommend staying as far away from this charlatan as possible. We eventually dropped the issue because we were tired of dealing with her vile character and didn't want to have to bring her to court over a matter of a couple thousand dollars. When I first called AAF I got voicemail, so I left a message but figured they were very busy (which they were) and had started to look around for alternatives. I don't live in Tacoma, but my mom and dad do so I didn't really know which flower shop to work with... I started to surf the net here and there and then I forgot all about it... But then, a short time later, I received a call from Chris, and it was like your fairy godmother calling you back to help you achieve a miracle! Such excellent customer service!!! But after his birthday flowers had been delivered, my dad called me, so excited- his flowers had touched him in a very special way, the lilies and special birthday message... I highly discourage anybody from using Affordable Flowers in Tacoma, WA. The proprietor does not keep her word. First, she charged me more than I requested (close to $50. when I'd asked for whatever I could get for $30-40 for a flower arrangement). Second, the bouquet was tiny (much smaller than she'd described) and did not have the correct colors (pink, when I'd asked for purple and lavender). Worst, I found an errant charge on my account months after the original transaction had been completed. When I called to get the money refunded to me (I had ordered nothing since the first disappointing transaction), Chris told me that this had happened before, "former customers randomly getting charged for orders they hadn't placed." Five phone calls by me, and many promises (though no empathy) by Chris to correct the situation, and now it's two and half months later with no refund made. (PayPal wouldn't complete her single attempt at refund due to her bank's refusal to cover the amount.) Chris has never called or reached out to correct this situation though she admitted it was a mistake ("with her system"). I'm very frustrated and don't want anybody else to be subjected to this. read more

I've been ordering a dozen red roses every two weeks from them for the last 6 months for my girlfriend. They've always delivered same day and the price has always been the same. The roses have lasted the entire two weeks every time. I was very impressed last time I called when they said they had fresh stock coming in the next day and would it be ok to wait one day for the freshest Flowers. They could have sold me the older ones but they wouldn't have lasted as long. Very good service. I recommend them highly. read more
