Ordered a dozen roses, candy, mylar, a teddy and lotion. They were not able to deliver an order made on the web site before 8am by 11am to an address ACROSS THE STREET from them because only the driver delivers and they're out in Gig Harbor. Promised delivery time was 'maybe' by 2pm. So I cancelled the order. Guess they don't need my $200.00. This is the SECOND time the girls answering the phone have been snotty and rude. The customer service just isn't here like it used to be. I suggest calling 1800flowers to send roses whenever they have time to deliver they arrive. Same detached service. I've been ordering flowers for birthdays and thank-yous for years, I should have left this review long ago! The folks at Blitz are always very responsive and they manage to deliver the flowers FAST! For the first time I had a favorite relative seriously ill in the hospital and wanted to send her flowers. I called and told them I had no room number, just her name and that she was at Tacoma General. Not only did they create a really beautiful display of flowers for my relative, they spent TWO DAYS checking in with the hospital and made sure the minute she could receive the flowers and had a room number that she got them within hours. I order flowers pretty often and usually go with the florists choice. This option tends to almost always work better than choosing an arrangement from the website that they most likely cant copy. The florist did deliver to Bonney lake which was a plus and the gentleman I spoke with was very polite. I set a budget of $100 which has always given me amazing bouquets. But was pretty let down when my friend received her bday flowers. That was at most a $60 arrangement. 4 roses, 2 gerberas, 2 sunflowers, a few mums and some green foliage. Steve at Blitz was the best florist we encountered. We have a last minute flower request for a wake the next day and Steve was able to produce the yellow flower garland in two hours. When we picked it up, it wasn't quite what we expected because we made the order over the phone. However, Steve took the time to understand what we were looking for and stayed late to redo the garland with extra flowers for us with no extra charge. Everyone was raving how beautiful the garland was at the wake. We really appreciate Steve's help and highly recommend this place to everyone. read more

I don't usually find too much need to go into florists but what drew me to come in this one is their Halloween decor! It has taken me a while to find shops that sold cute and creative vintage style Halloween decorations. For my Halloween parties and haunted houses I like having a vintage corner that has it's own vibe apart from the more modern decorations and animatronics. The decorations like most vintage style decorations have a more friendly and cheerful nature to them which is perfect in a reception area where the guests are. The more gory decor? Well....that comes along in the tours of the haunted home. Very fine Halloween decor here! read more

I have posted a photo of 3 arrangements of a funeral I was at. The arrangement to the left I paid $199.95 for from Blitz. The flowers in the middle came from a competitor and they cost $159.95. Called Blitz & Co up around 10 am Saturday morning. Needed an arrangement that day (they close at 2:00). Told them how much I had to spend, that the flowers were for a friend who had just had a baby girl, and that I didn't want anything "cheesy". The woman on the phone told me they "don't do cheesy", and she was right. I walked in to pick up my flowers and saw them sitting on the counter and they were beautiful and elegant! So pleased that I went here. I didn't have much time to look around their store, but it's very nicely decorated and they have more than just flowers in the shop. Nice little home decor pieces. I called and spoke with Carrie who is I believe the manager. We discussed things in great detail and resolved everything in the most professional manner possible. I would like to give this store a better star rating because the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The inside of their store was very neat and welcoming. However, the reason for the low rating is due to the prices. We met with Steve and talked about floral for our wedding. After discussion we told him our absolute maxed out budget was $1000. He replied, "I'm positive it wont go over $1000, we are probably closer to $800". So imagine our surprise when we received an estimate for a little over $1200. We ended up cutting out the "medium" sized centerpieces and the mantle piece to keep the cost down. However, this still only brought the price down to $923. Having never been married before, I assumed this must have been the norm for floral pricing. However, after seeing the floral at the wedding, I really feel we were taken advantage of. First, let me say my bouquet was very pretty, but it was so small for the price. We were given 4 options for the bouquet pricing: $100, $150, $200, and $250. We chose the $200 option so I could have a large bouquet. When I received my bouquet, I thought surely it must have been the bridesmaid bouquet. But nope! It was mine. I counted the flowers in my bouquet. There were 18 flowers in total. That breaks down to a price of $11.11 per flower. Very overpriced. I would have hated to see what the $100 option looked like. Also we ordered boutonnières and corsages. The boutonnières had a single flower and were $10 apiece. The corsages also had a single flower, but also had some ribbon, but were $25 apiece. So basically $15 for ribbon. Our $30 centerpieces were very small. They came in a round vase about the size of a softball, with a few flowers. For this price, I suppose this was fair. We were charged $100 for "set up and delivery". Our venue is 12 miles from the florist. And when I arrived to the venue, I was surprised to see all the floral had just been sat on the front table. No set up had happened. So I ended up having to set up all the floral myself. So overall, $100 for a 12 mile drive and no set up seems a bit extreme. Overall for $923 we got: A small bridal bouquet $200 2 small bridesmaid bouquets for $60 each Grooms boutonnière $12 8 Groomsman boutonnières $10 each 2 corsages for $25 each 8 very small centerpieces for $30 each Delivery and set up (set up didn't happen) $100 And tax Our floral was very pretty. The colors were perfect. The staff was very friendly. However, for the price, I do feel our budget was taken advantage of. After speaking with other married couples, they got a LOT more for their money from other florists in the area. read more

I am VERY VERY disappointed with this florist. I called to have a single rose delivered for Valentine's Day.. When I placed my order, I made two requests: 1. Please do not reveal the identity of the sender. I even said this couple times during my interaction with Jessica. 2. Any color rose but red. Two simple request, at least that is what I thought. What ended up happening is: 1. They revealed the sender which TOTALLY ruined my surprise, and 2.. They sent a red rose. Thanks for ruining my Valentine's Day. I hope you are happy to know you RUINED MY DAY! I wish Yelp was set up so I could give Blitz zero stars. Even though I gave Blitz one star Blitz really deserves a negative star for messing up.
