3 weeks ago I went to get my eye lash extensions for the first time. It's been something I've been wanting to do but I've been so scared to do it lol, I also didn't know if I could handle laying down with my eyes closed for 1-2 hours! My two girlfriends recommended Remi and so I booked my appointment with her. Honestly, she's soooo sweet and funny! I got the classic eye lash extensions to start off with and when I laid down and closed my eyes, we started talking about anything and everything and next thing you know she was done! I didn't feel it at all!! She has super light hands. I enjoyed talking and listening to her as she applied my lashes. It took 2 hours but it didn't even feel long. I had a great experience with her and I've already booked my fill. After three weeks, my lashes still look full And great even though I have oily eye lids. I wash them gently with baby shampoo. It took me a while to find a place to get my lashes done after a few years since my old lash lady moved back to Vietnam! This review is long overdue as Remi has been my go-to lash artist for just over 2 years now and started when she was at the Pico/Robertson area. Let me preface this review with a little background--I've been getting lash extensions since 2007 or so. As you can imagine, there's been a ton of trial and error in finding the PERFECT lash artist...which I have found in Remi/Always Allure! Not only does she handle your eyes with care, she never compromises your real lashes or rushes you out the door. She genuinely cares about her work and is super meticulous and knowledgeable about the different looks (Mega Volume, cat eyes, classic, curled, etc). I am very particular about my eyes and she always makes sure I'm happy before leaving. Additionally, she's the most beautiful person inside and out and am honored to have gained a friend through our every 3 weeks fill session. We have the best conversations! Did I mention she's down to earth and honest as well? One time I was so busy chatting it up with her that I overpaid when adding the tip to my credit card...Well actually I should've left it because she truly deserves every bit of it..I digress, but she texts me that I paid her too much in tip and says it's probably a mistake on my part and then preemptively Venmos me the money back immediately!! I'm usually very paranoid about picking my lash girl because of a bad experience I had when I first had them done. I've been to a couple of different places before I met Remi today. I'm really glad I found her because of her incredibly meticulous work and awesome personality. She listened to my previous experiences with lashes and helped me chose the right style I was looking for-- natural but enough to look like I have an "eyeliner" look. I made it clear that I didn't want it too dramatic nor did I want it too natural, and I emphasized not making me look bug eyed (I have round eyes). 2.5 hours went back so fast and she did an amazing job. I found this place through Groupon. I'm in love with my wispy volume eyelashes. I cannot wait to see how long they will last. It took around two hours to get them done which is longer than I'm used to but it is worth every minute. Remi is very sweet and makes the time go by fast.
