While I fully expected to pay the $100 cancellation fee listed on their website, I was shocked when we were charged $400 instead.   When I pointed out that his website clearly stated $100, he admitted it had not been updated but claimed the inspection agreement (which my husband never signed) listed a 50% cancellation fee. After some back and forth, he refunded $300, but not before giving us a sob story about being a small business with only two employees and how they rely on these appointments for income.   We also run a small business with just two people. We understand the value of every dollar we make, but in business, things change, and sometimes, you have to adjust and accommodate customers--not just expect them to pay for your scheduling losses.   I appreciate that he ultimately refunded the money, but this experience felt unprofessional and misleading. I'd caution others to double-check all agreements before booking, as their website may not reflect their actual policies.
