Joshua arrived on time to resurface my old tub. He did a specular job refinishing my 64 year old cast iron tub. I had it reglazed once before but it was poorly done. He used lots of elbow grease and most of the day removing the old glaze. It was a long day for him 9 am to 6:45 pm. The tub looks amazing and brand new. He explained what he was doing and took exceptional care to keep my house clean. Luis, the owner, came and inspected the work and told me how to clean it to not cause damage to the finish. He assured me if taken care of properly it would last a very long time and if I ever had a problem he would be right here to fix it. That is a wonderful warranty. We recently purchased a home that had a very used bathroom tub that needed to be replaced. The tub had newly installed finishing around it so replacement would have been a more costly and schedule intense option. So instead I did some research on options to restore the existing tub and Luis (Always Refinishing) was one of the top and highly rated one I found. Which led me here on Yelp to check on other customer reviews. I noticed his comments to questions would end with is phone number and him mentioning to reach out for further questions, so I texted him just to inquire (late evening too) and he responded almost immediately. I asked tons of questions and he provided confident and thorough responses. He even identified the type of tub (porcelain) I have through a photo! He quoted me immediately and provided me availability to perform the work. He was also able to put me in his schedule to complete the same week. Gave me a heads up before the arrival of his rep. Joshua who completed restoration the same day, within approximately 6 hours. Joshua's work was amazing and clean. He set up plastic and construction paper on his path of travel to not get our floors dirty and to protect the surrounding finish, assessed the work, set up blowers discharge dust and fumes to the exterior and began his reglazing process. Attached are some before, during and after photos of the tub. Immediately after Joshua completed his work Luis call for a follow up and provided me with instructions to clean and care for the reglazed tub. We are so pleased with the results of our Tub and side walls. Luis is very professional and educated in his trade. He and his team worked hard to remove a bad Reglaze done 2 years prior by another company- it took 15 hours of non-stop labor. The tub is cast iron and they sanded down to the bare cast iron and then built it back up to its beautiful finish. I have never ever seen such beautiful reglazing - it is incredible - the old ugly chipped objects now sparkling and absolutely gorgeous. All of it: the bathtub and its surrounding tile walls, the kitchen sink, the countertop as well as the backsplash are immaculate! I have a rental apartment and had reglazed the kitchen sink there twice before, as well as had my sink and countertop and a bathtub reglazed in my place.. They were ok jobs, it looked clean for a while but nothing compared to what 'Always Refinishing' did. The previous jobs entailed a stripping, a cleaning with a special solution and then spraying. The prep work always entails careful taping off the surrounding area. Hence in general reglazing is labor intensive. But when the previous reglazing was done with the other company, one could see all the imperfections on the countertop, the missing grout, the occasional crack in the tile. But not with Luis's company - Joshua, who was doing the reglazing at my property, not just stripped but re-grouted all the tiles first, filled in cracks, filled in missing chips, then sanded it all to perfection, then cleaned with all the special products that the process demands with such detailed attention, after completion of the spraying, the kitchen sink, the countertop, the backsplash, the bathtub and the surrounding walls look amazing, simply stunning. They might not even have looked that nice when they were new. What incredible work ethic. The work is guaranteed for life - unheard of with reglazing jobs (the previous ones with the other companies started to chip after a year or so) - but this time the work was done with such skill (and much more time involvement) that I know it will last a very very long time. This company deserves more than five stars! The owner Luis promptly returned my text with a phone call the schedule me in the same week! He sent Eric to preform the work who did an outstanding job. He explained every step before starting. He took at least an hour if not more prepping and taping everything off to protect my bathroom from overspray. Eric repaired some gaps in the grout, removed old caulking, removed my old towel bar, and filled in the holes. Everything is perfect!
