Cracked tile around the wall. Mind you, I have 3 boxes of these tiles leftover from the project.

My house is millennial gray. All of it. If you squint too hard, you might think you were living in a scene of Sin City. So when the upstairs bathroom needed new flooring, I thought, "Finally, we can add some color! Something that says 'these people are alive.'" Enter Wayne from Sartin Tile Co. Wayne's been tiling since before I was allowed to cross the street alone. His father owned a tile store, and Wayne talks about tile like some people talk about their kids. I figured, this is a man who knows his ceramic from his porcelain and maybe even dreams in hexagons. We had a few scheduling hiccups, but eventually, the tile was down, the grout was curing, and I was ready to toast my newly colorful bathroom... until I started noticing a few things. Tiny things. Like when you buy a dress and later realize it has no pockets. Except these tiny things involved dried grout in my kids' carpet and a cracked vanity. It started when I asked if Wayne had boot covers. I have toddlers, freshly cleaned carpets, and a general dream of not vacuuming forever. He told me he had them, but they were "hard to work in." Fair. I get it. Boot covers are basically slippery little suffocation bags for shoes. I let him go upstairs. Later, while I was nursing, I was going through my camera notifications and that's when I noticed he was taking the scenic route through their bedroom. Shoes and all. This meant I spent my weekend with my vacuum and wet vac in aid of emotional recovery. The water coming out of the carpet cleaner was the kind of murky gray that probably has its own EPA guidelines. And the toilet? Left wide open at the top of the stairs. I have kids. Do you know how fast a toddler can find an unguarded toilet? Faster than Wayne can mix thinset. Then I stepped into my "finished" bathroom. There was grout on the tub, grout on the walls, grout on the door handles. If I'd sneezed, I would've accidentally tiled my kids. And there, like a sad little exclamation point to the whole experience, was a crack at the bottom of my vanity--one I wasn't told about. To add a final bit of color, the job turned out to be for a 50 sq ft bathroom, but I was charged for the 80 sq ft estimate I'd been given over the phone. I'm starting to think Wayne might be better at math when it comes to tile cuts than when it comes to invoices. All in all? I learned something valuable: next time I hire a contractor, I want one who treats my home like it's not just a job site but an actual house where tiny, shoe-licking people live.

We had purchased fairly expensive Fireclay tile for our bathroom and kitchen backsplash. We knew it would require meticulous work as these tiles are small 2"x6" tiles that need to be individually set. We started our tile job with someone else and after the first day of their tiling, we knew we needed to get a real tile setter. I reached out to Wayne and he got back to me right away and came out the very next day to quote us. Thankfully, Wayne was able to take on our job and we started over- he removed all the previous tile and hardy back and created completely level sub surface with cement back. This is a lost art as many tile workers only use hardy back and cement board. This resulted in completely level and straight tile work. As an architect, I am extremely picky and detailed oriented and Wayne was on the same page- meticulously calibrating all the right alignments (check out the grout alignment in the shampoo niche photo!) We were beyond impressed with Wayne's master craft and skill/ he is a true artisan...so passionate, thorough and detail oriented. He was also so pleasant and wonderful to work with and so professional, leaving the space so tidy and clean after each day! We will use him again and again for any future tile work and highly recommend him! Thank you again Wayne!

My experience with Sartin tile was positive from start to finish. The owner made a point to be timely, and proved to have as much attention to detail as I do. This is quite the feat, as for better or worse I tend to notice every detail. To that end, there was a tiny repair that I saw needed to be addressed and the owner made sure to come back and fix it without complaint or question. He left my home in good shape, charged a reasonable price, did outstanding work, and completed the job with integrity. This combination is hard to come by in construction, so I'd surely recommend Sartin to anyone looking for a tile job.

Wayne was amazing! He was super punctual and communicative which is pretty hard to find in contractors. Great and easy to talk to, I loved that he explained everything he was doing/going to do and why for each project. He did great quality work and had very fair pricing. It's too bad he only does tile and some plumbing because I would want him to do all my house projects if he could! I would highly recommend him!

Wayne is exceptionally professional and communicated consistently and effectively during the course of our project (shower tiling) It turned out great, and we loved working with Wayne.

Here's a before and after pic of his work in my home.

I hired Sartin Tile co. To do my shower and bathroom floor, He is a true artist at his craft. The bathroom looks amazing, I highly recommend this business if you're looking to get your bathroom remodeled.

This was before as well, just as bad.

These guys are awesome. Very high quality work at a very nice price. Wayne is a total professional and would recommend him to anyone of my friends or family. He helped us all the way through the process and went way above and beyond what was expected. Definitely hire the guys for your tile job. Thank you so much Wayne.

We got wood-look tiling. The grout is so thin, it's hardly noticeable!

Wayne is a top-notch tiler and our favorite contractor to work with. He came as a recommendation from a friend and hiring him was the best decision we've made. - Honest, direct & detail-oriented - Wayne is the business owner and does his own tiling work. There were no hidden costs or last minute changes. During our estimate, he thoroughly inspected the project areas and asked lots of questions to make sure we're on the same page. He'll also update you along the way or with challenges he's facing. Nonetheless, he troubleshoots and makes it work so well that you wouldn't have known there was an issue. - Quality work - Beautiful craftsmanship! Wayne installed almost 1500 sq ft of main flooring tile and his grout lines were thin and straight. The grout was so thin and the color was perfect that it actually looks like wood. For the bathrooms we went with a grey grout (aka lines are more noticeable) for the white subway tiles in the shower walls and Wayne also made them all straight and beautiful. (I've seen bad tiling and grout jobs in restaurants where the lines are crooked, grout on the tiles, holes in the grout...) Wayne takes pride in what he does and produces excellent work. - Professional & trustworthy - He always shows up on time and focuses on one home project at a time. He never double books himself or doesn't go off running to work on other projects while he works on yours. We even gave him our door code to let himself in and lock up when he finishes. - Neat & clean - Tiling is a messy job, but he always cleans up after himself. Note: We purchased our own materials and hired Wayne for installing the tiles. If you're looking to hire sometime to do tiling for your bathroom or main flooring, Wayne is your man. His company is licensed, bonded, and has worker's comp. Contact him for a quote, you'll be so glad you did!

I love the the fact that Wyane does his own work and takes pride in his workmanship. You can see his attention to detail. We hired him to do our backsplash for our kitchen. He even offered a solution to a gap behind our dual fuel range with quartz remnants we had from our countertop installation. He is a great guy and skilled craftsman.

More than five stars!…read more Succinctly, we met with three or four companies to get an estimate all of whom were pleasant but, somehow, did not seem as though they were listening to what we wanted. It was different with Ammar of Kitchen Cabinet Express, Inc. After a brief introduction and a short discussion of our intentions, he got right to the point, walking with my wife, measuring and making notes and asking questions. What resulted was a reasonable estimate for the work to be done and a plan and drawings that exactly reflected our wishes. The deadline for completion was originally set for the middle of March 2026 but was completed two weeks early. Members of Ammar's team and contractors were professional, conscientious, and hard working. They showed up on time, accomplished what was scheduled for each day. As work progressed, we desired some minor changes which Ammar and his team were very flexible and responsive in accomplishing professionally and quickly. At every point - daily work and especially at the conclusion - the site was cleaned up immaculately and all detritus was hauled away instantly. Also, a great deal of care was taken to mask, cover, and protect the house, furniture, and existing fixtures from the dust and soiling that was occasioned by the remodeling work! This review is being written a month after completion as we wanted to take our time to let the "newness" wear off and appraise the overall experience. After this time for evaluation, we find the craftsmanship flawless, the cabinets and showers and baths installed beautifully and -- overall -- the incorporation into our existing home has greatly upgraded the whole affair. All in all, the results exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend Ammar and his team and, once settled, we will be having him back to take care of additional projects we'd like to accomplish.

Finally, a Cabinet Company That Actually Guides You…read more We found Kitchen Cabinets Express midway through our kitchen remodel after our original cabinet company left us frustrated. They were "yes people" -- agreeable on everything but never once offered guidance or pushed back when our ideas weren't practical. We needed a real partner, and that's exactly what we found here. Ammar was exceptional. He's a true expert and adviser who wasn't afraid to be honest with us. When some of our ideas weren't the most functional, he told us so -- and immediately came back with multiple alternatives that helped us land on a design that was both sleek and practical. One of the best decisions he guided us toward was using two different cabinet colors -- light gray for the perimeter cabinets and a warm dark wood for the island. The contrast is stunning and gives the kitchen a high-end, designer feel we never would have landed on without his input. The installation crew was equally impressive -- the fit and finish on every cabinet, drawer, and detail is top notch. The result speaks for itself. If you're considering a kitchen project, start with a consultation here. We'll absolutely be back for future projects.

Tim was easy to reach and consistently available whenever questions or concerns arose. William and his crew were equally impressive on-site. They were polite, respectful of our home, and maintained a professional work environment from start to finish. The team handled both the demolition and tile installation with skill, and our foreman kept the project running efficiently. Thanks to their pace, the entire remodel--including our kitchen and three bathrooms--was completed in just six weeks. Because the work progressed so quickly, a few details were initially overlooked, but they were promptly addressed afterward. Overall, we're very happy with how everything turned out. The finished spaces met our expectations. If you're looking for fair pricing and a team that can deliver quality results efficiently, EK&B is definitely worth considering.
