I did an inquiry on Yelp well I was laying in the bed late at night and I was surprised to get a immediate response. I was initially looking at another company but the amount of photos that I got with PicVoyage was double the amount for an extra $50. I have never been to to New York and they recommended that I shoot at 9 a.m. in the morning instead of the 3 p.m. that I wanted. I'm so glad I took their advice! She had me download WhatsApp so they can keep in contact with me upon my arrival and with any questions are dream photos I may have wanted. I went on their Instagram account and I fell in love with the shots. The morning of the shoot we met with hazel where she told us to be at at 9 a.m. I promise you this was the best part of my New York visit. Our wedding was a relatively last-minute City Hall affair. Liesl gave us ideas on how to best photograph it, and also knew some pretty helpful tips that made the day go much smoother than it would otherwise. We didn't have to think much -- she knew what style we were going for, and what we wanted for the day, and made it all happen. I've been to weddings that feel more like a photoshoot than anything intimate, and it's one of my bigger pet peeves. Liesl didn't make it feel like that. She was unobtrusive, but still captured great moments to always remember our day. And my family loved her -- she was super kind to everyone, and made them feel relaxed and comfortable. Even more than the photos, that was really important to us. After our nuptials, we dragged Liesl around NYC for more photos with just my wife and me. She knew the area around City Hall really well, and got some stunning photos the incorporated the downtown architecture. After that, photographed us on the subway and at Grand Central. In addition, throughout the process, Megan (their office manager) ALWAYS responded in a timely fashion. And all the while, she happily answered ALL of my e-mails (from costume questions, to lighting questions, to crazy large photo requests) w/ respect and courteousness. End result: well we haven't gotten our actual wedding photographs yet since we JUST got married a little over a week ago, but our engagement photos were nothing short of amazing!!! At the last minute, Tom let us choose a new location so that the grandparents would feel more comfortable and was great with the kids. He did a fantastic job with the lighting and he let us see some samples of photos right after he took them and what we saw was incredibly beautiful. He is so talented! On top of his photography skills, he is also a turtle rescuer! A turtle had wandered away from the pond and got too close to the restaurant and he helped guide it back safely to the pond.
