Moved here a couple of years ago and it took me a while to find the right nail place. Hawaii nails is the best place for Mani/Pedi and lashes. It is a place where you are taken care of, everyone knows your name, they understand when you're in a hurry to leave because you have to get back to work, and most importantly they do such amazing work. I'm a big guy. Wanted/needed my toenails trimmed .. I walk in, it's clean and bright and I'm greeted right away- only guy in the place but no one makes me feel it. A very enjoyable hour sitting in the massage chair while Kathy did what she does to my big ol feet. Hawaiian package rocks, by the way. the hot towels and oil!! Most nail technicians are excellent here -- and they really work hard to make customers happy. Only negative is that they're not as sanitary as I'm accustomed to up north (there's nail dust on most mani table lamps and they don't use disposable bags in foot tubs or individually packaged tools for mani-pedis). Also, I'm not crazy about the nail dryers they use at the manicure tables... not comfortable for my hands and easy to scuff nails before they dry. read more

I feel bad I do not remember who gave me my pedi but the Vietnamese woman was awesome!! I booked an appointment day of the guy on the other end was friendly and chill. I get there for a pedi and the woman was friendly and gave me some tips on how to take better care of my feet. Plus afterward she gave me the emery board and other stuff so I can continue to take care of my feet! Also she gave me a foot massage and out of the 10 pedis I've had in my lifetime, this was the 1st time I got a foot rub. The location is in a smaller strip mall and there's enough spaces for everyone. Everyone was wearing a mask as they wiped down almost everything all the time. They also had nice spacing between each station. I really wish this place existed back in Chicago!!! read more

When am I going to learn???? 3 bad experiences at Hawaii Nails! 1st visit: I live at the beach and so many people use this salon. I was excited to go. I checked their website and their prices were incredible, when I got there, they have a completely updated pricing sheet, ALL of the prices are $5.00 - $10.00 more then the website. I actually think that is illegal (false advertising?) BUT the prices were still "ok" and I figured, it's a small business and they probably haven't had a chance to update their website. 2nd visit: I called and booked a Deluxe Pedicure (highest tier/ most expensive). I was looking to relax and pamper myself. The nail tech rushed through the entire thing, the pedicure was over in exactly 17 minutes! If I would have booked an express, that would have been awesome but that is not what I wanted OR paid for. The tech also just left me in the chair so she could go work on someone else. She never came back! I had to fumble around, put my flip flops on myself, etc....so I paid $60.00 + tip of course, for pretty terrible service. 3rd visit: I went in for a Funny Bunny Dip manicure. The dip was sooooo thick, it was embarrassing. It looked absolutely terrible. My husband even commented that it looked like a dipped my nails in white out. I left the next day for a trip and had it removed at the hotel I was staying in. The manicurist at that salon was laughing at how bad it was and was actually pretty appalled! Sorry Hawaii, I gave you 3 chances. I have officially learned my lesson. Looking for a new local spot read more

Nicely staffed, but slightly meh aura. Got a pedi and my daughter got a mani-pedi and I asked for a glass of red and was told not unless you get an expensive pedi. I have never been told this, by anyone at a nail salon. They tried to explain that you have to spend a certain amount in order to receive the glass of wine. Ridiculous! read more

It was my first time going to this nail place and it ended up being disappointing. The nail tech was rushing all throughout my appointment for my gel manicure. Pretty sure she forgot a step in one of my hands. It's only been a week and my gel nail polish is already peeling! I've gone to many places to do my nails in gel and this is the first time I've had this happen. Usually my nail polish will last 3-4 weeks and it will be tough to remove because it's good quality but for this one I can lift it easily since it's already peeling off. Loved this place! First off, I went there trying to save a nail that was breaking. Hawaii came over and took care of the nail, matching my other polish. I explained that I was visiting from out of town and that I needed another manicure. Hawaii set me up for an appointment the next day. The next day, Hawaii greeted me as if I had been a customer for years, very sweet! One gal started on my nails. She answered my questions about gel vs dipped nails. I'm a newbie with all this, only having had 2 prior gel manicures. I decided to try dipped nails to compare. This gal only did gel nails so she got another gal to do my nails which turned out to be her sister. Great manicure and excellent customer service by everyone! My daughter and I are vacationing in the area so we were not familiar with any of the local nail salons. After taking a wrong turn, we ended up right in front of Hawaii. This ended up being the exact right turn!! We walked in to the beautiful, clean, busy salon and were pleasantly surprised when they were able to accommodate us right away. My daughter wanted a pedicure and acrylic nails, I was only planning on tips with sns dip. I'm always hesitant about pedicures because my nails are so thin. However, I took a chance and opted for the sports pedicure, which included a hot stone massage (wow!!). Han was so professional and knew exactly how to care for my feet. He took such care to make sure to preserve my nails. The pedicure was amazing! I'm so glad I didn't skip it. The owner, Hawaii, was super nice also. She came over to help prepare my hands for my nail service after my pedicure. Han finished my dip nails and did a wonderful job, they are beautiful. The 2 women who did my daughter's pedicure and acrylic nails did a fabulous job, too. Unfortunately, I did not get their names. But they were both sweet and her toes and hands look so pretty! We are both beyond thrilled with the services we received today. I only wish we lived closer so that we could become regular clients. read more

My "gel manicure" that didn't even last a week and a half. I usually get a gel manicure with clear dip underneath because it lasts longer. My nails usually last 3 and a half/4 weeks with the dip and then gel on top. After a week and a half with these the nail polish was popping off like they were fake nails. Wasn't impressed. read more

I was in Florida for vacation and my manicure from home cracked and chipped. Since I am a nail biter my husband made me look up a close salon and get my nails redone. After reading the Yelp reviews of Hawaii Nail Spa I decided to give it a try since it was close to our condo. I walked in and they were super busy but gave me an appointment. They took my number and said they would call if they had anything sooner. When I got back to my car, I received a text confirming my appointment time. When I went back at my time, they asked me to pick my color from a huge selection of colors. I couldn't believe all the colors and designs they have. Kathy did my nails and was very nice. I was offered water and told I could even order a cocktail from next door! I got a full set put on with permanent French and when she was done they looked amazing! I am just sad that she won't be able to fill them for me unless I fly back to Florida! And I only paid $45 for pink and white. Where I live in CT it would have cost me $70! I took their business car in case I come back to St Pete's. read more
