I reached out to this moving company on a whim thru Yelp after speaking with 4 larger moving companies and getting estimates on my former 3 bedroom house that I occupied for 15 years. First, the response rate was unheard of. I emailed at 5am and received a call and email back by 7am by Andres. Then we scheduled an in-home estimate for the same evening. The crew is beyond punctual. If the appointment is for 4pm, they will be there ready to go at 3:45pm. We scheduled the move 2 weeks out and I was provided with tips and services along the way to ensure move day would be successful. The care of, both my old home and new home was kept in mind and the safety and proper wrapping of my belongings was done efficiently. To add, the friendliness and helpfulness of the 4-man team kept me happy on moving day which is typically stressful. They are no frills but you are paying for the core service, successful packing of the truck and quick delivery and placement of your items. I saved big working with this crew and did not waste money on extras. They came in, did the job and left. If you don't mind securing your own boxes and pre-packing and labeling, this is the way to go. I collected boxes from my job over a 3 week period so it was no biggie! It is a shame that I plan on staying in my new home for many years, because I would use them for another local move in a heartbeat. Thanks Andres! I've never posted a review on Yelp! before, but I'd actually feel guilty if I didn't leave one for AM & PM Moving. These guys are beyond terrific. Based on my experience, I recommend you stop considering anyone else. Here's why: 1. Quick response and competitive price: I was looking at a late December move with about two weeks' notice. I called their number, and promptly engaged with Andres via text. He asked thoughtful questions, and he gave me a better quote than the (three) others I called, and he did it quickly. 2. They showed up early. Moving day (I think it was 10 degrees below zero): The crew showed up ten minutes early (6:50 am). I offered coffee to warm up, and they gladly accepted--but only AFTER they finished loading the truck, and took their coffee to go. 3. They took care of the house and the furnishings as if it was their own. The crew laid down material on all the floors so they wouldn't track snow, salt, or any other grime into the house. They took similar meticulous care of the furnishings they moved. 4. Their commitment lasted throughout.Unloading was more difficult, as the crew had to negotiate a narrow and winding staircase and remove a door. Their professionalism and dedication to quality did not cease. They even made sure that I had things where I wanted them, and moved things around so I could decide...and it was important to them that I was happy. These guys are awesome. Andres and his team did an excellent job moving us to our new home! Andres stays in constant communication with you in the days leading up to the move, and always kept me aware of and asked for my approval with regard to any changes to the plan. His team did a wonderful job taking our furniture apart and putting it back together. We noticed no damage whatsoever to our personal property. He and his team took great care to ensure our old home, new home, and our personal property were not damaged throughout the entire move. He moved a piano, heavy treadmill, etc. and his team worked miracles getting all of our couches, etc. into our new finished basement. One can immediately tell that he and his team have experience moving. Andres even went above and beyond by returning to our old home to remove the washer and dryer after we had already moved everything out! I can't say enough about how great he and his team are to work with, and I would give his team the highest recommendation possible. I will definitely use his services again for any of my future needs. Additionally, Andres and his team were always punctual and very polite. I love that Andres provides you with one total price for the entire job vs an hourly rate. They were true professionals and were worth every penny. Andres and his team did a great job helping my short-notice move. I called only 3 days in advance at the end of the month and luckily they managed to put me in their schedule! He offered a very fair price and charged by the project, instead of charging by the hour. That saved me the stress to get the move done as quickly as possible. They arrived on time and worked very efficiently loading and unloading my stuff. They dissembled and assembled my large pieces of furniture, and took extra care on the fragile items as well. I put too many dishes in each box which became very heavy. They moved them carefully and nothing broke! When unloading my things, they always asked where I wanted each box/furniture to be placed. They even managed to move my large couch to the basement of my new home through a narrow staircase without scratching the walls. I was very impressed by their work. Great Moving Experience with AM & PM Moving....!!!! After reviewing several movers in the Barrington area we chose AM & PM Moving based on customer feedback. Andres was very prompt in providing an estimate for our large four bedroom home including beds, dressers, dining tables, hutches, sofas, desks, lights, cabinets, area rugs, a heavy piano, yard equipment, pictures, large gas grill, deck furniture and dozens of boxes. On moving day Andres and his Team were on time, very professional, careful with our possessions, courteous and respectful. They did an amazing job of organizing and carefully moving ALL of our items into two large storage units at Life Storage. Andres and his team were right on time for my move, and by on time I mean early! :-) They responded to my last minute request for a move and I could not have been happier with my choice to use them. I spent a lot of time researching other movers, struggling to get overpriced quotes, and AM & PM Moving was hands down the best choice. They took very good care of my things moving out of my old home and into my new home. I had a lot of excess furniture I did not know what I was going to do with, and Andres told me about a church he donates to that provides the furniture to those in need. I was almost in tears. Not only was I relieved of the stress of what to do with all of my excess furniture but I was truly blessed to know it was going to a good place. Moving is stressful, and usually not fun, but with AM & PM Moving it was fun and a breeze. We used AM & PM Moving today for our move. We had two storage units in Palatine that needed to be emptied and all contents delivered to our house in Lake Zurich. When I contacted them, I spoke with the lead guy, Andres. He was kind enough to squeeze us in on a Sunday morning, since he was booked the Saturday and Monday we wanted. He quoted a good price and booked the appointment. One week before the move, he confirmed the appointment, then the night before confirmed with a text. I really appreciated the follow up confirmations. Sunday morning, he and three of his guys arrive a few minutes early and get to work. Four hours later they're done! Super friendly, polite and hard working guys. We've moved quite a few times and have used multiple moving companies, good and bad. Andres and his crew have been the best we've worked with. Andres and his team moved my furniture from Wauconda to South Elgin and from start to finish were professional, fast, and careful to ensure nothing was damaged. An entire king-size bedroom set, living room and dining room set, and my daughter's bedroom were carefully wrapped and loaded onto their trucks in roughly about an hour - amazing! My boyfriend was there to oversee to loading of my furnishings as well as the unloading and Andres and his team put together my items as carefully as they loaded the items. He is difficult to impress, but even he was blown away by the professionalism and attention to detail by Andres and his crew. THANK YOU Andres! Andres was the only one that was able to come during the beginning of the month and i called a dozen movers! He was very responsive to first phone call, and any text messages thereafter before the move. He called the night before to confirm details and appintment, which was very helpful and reassuring as I have had other movers in the past not show up. He was at the location at 8 a.m. as promised and was texting me to let me know he was there because I was running a few minutes late. He and his two men unloaded my entire10×30 storage unit that contained contents of a three bedroom home and moved it all into my new 2 story townhome within 3 hours without breaking anything or damaging my walls. There are lots of places that claim to be the best, trust me when I tell you - Andres (The Owner) and his team are the best in the World at what they do. Nobody in Illinois will match their prices. Not only are they the most inexpensive, but they are also the fastest. Not in a rush either, they are just quick, organized, and handle everything with 110% CARE. I've used many Chicagoland movers that are all ranked as "The best." None of them compare to AM / PM. Most companies specialize in telling you one price, then raising it on moving day. I brought that up to Andres before the move, and he said that's the dirtiest trick in the game and he doesn't believe in it. I haven't used a local moving company before but I think I'll stick with it. Andres and his team are amazing folks and worked so fast and when I tried to help they just told me to leave it and that they'll take care of it. They were extremely patient when the storage unit didn't open up on time and they just got started unloading everything. I never felt like they were lazy, unprofessional or unwelcome. I have moved a few times since being in the military and have used long standing, established nationally recognized companies and I think these guys have them beat. I will definitely be using this guys again and would recommend them over anyone, including the big business guys, any day. We are so happy we hired Andres and AM & PM Moving. They arrived on time and diligent about getting us moved as quickly and as efficiently as possible. They are extremely customer focused and it's evident they want to make sure people have a great experience with them! We were moving to two places- a storage unit and a temporary location and they were so accomodating what needed to go where. I can't believe how well they packed the storage unit, I was afraid our stuff wouldn't fit and there was actually room to spare. At our temporary place he set up our bed and the crib for our daughter. Andres and his team did an incredible job with our move. Communication and follow up was excellent throughout the whole process. Day of the move they were prompt and make sure to cover and wrap everything. They even took the doors off a very big fridge for us and moved it from the basement to the garage; which was not part of the quote. They were very fast and polite as well. Andre and Alex are by far top notch, professionals! They not only moved me they provided white glove service with impeccable customer relations. I have never felt so at ease during a move than I did this time. Everything of value was wrapped, they disassembled my dining set the truck was packed beautifully and securely and the invoice was peanuts compared to some other competitors. I was overseeing my daughters move and dealing with AM/PM made this move soooo easy. I was amazed at their care for all her furniture and how they used pads on different corners for protection. Excellent service, great price! Andres kept in contact about the move asking of anything extra was needed as we got closer to moving day and was very easy to work with when planning everything. The day of the move Andres and his guys showed up on time, ready to work. They packed up mt entire basement, even taking apart my desk and bed frame, and had everything in their truck in less than an hour!
