We decided to go with Azteca based on the reviews here and their quick response time. Juan and his team definitely did not add to any stress. I was in constant communication with him and his team- no items were broken no items were missing. We had many things go wrong during our move but deciding on Azteca to help us start our new chapter was the best choice. The guys were prepared and had all of the items/ tools that we forgot to have like wrapping plastic, boxes and general advice. We had a great experience working with the Azteca team. The team was very attentive to wrapping and securing our large, delicate items before loading into the moving truck. We had a crew of three men that worked consistently for 8 hours to pack/move out of our 2 bed/2 bath condo and travel from one area of Chicago to another. I really hate to give bad reviews but I want to provide honest feedback to my experience. I called Juan and he was super nice over phone with competitive rates. We confirmed a time of 1pm on a Sunday. I confirmed over email twice between then and moving day. Moving day came and workers showed up at 9am - I was not ready and they said they would come back at 11. They finally showed up at 12:15 after a lot of back and forth. So somehow they were both early and late for a time we confirmed three times. The move was fine. Not super quick but quick enough. Hidden fees included $100 for shrink wrap (I thought this was excessive), $50 for a big tv (this was reasonable), and a 4% credit card charge. I said I'm not paying with a credit card... they said it didn't matter. So I asked, can I pay with a credit card and they said no. So essentially it's just an extra fee that they call a "credit card fee" even though I Zelled. The most frustrating thing however was everything I found after the move. My daughters bed was put together incorrectly. I caught some of it before they left but the whole back was wrong. My cabinet leg broke off and was just placed back on, I lost 2 Amazon fire sticks and a Roku in the move. My peloton power cord was also lost. This is partly my fault for not thinking of securing these things but having to replace $100s of dollars of missing/broken things is frustrating. I would not recommend. UPDATE: what is happening?? I never had ANYTHING to drink while your men were there. No one ever talked to me about a broken leg on a dresser or helped with that. I did not call you every 15 minutes but there was a lot of back and forth that morning when I had a truck show up 4 hours early and tried to reschedule to accommodate your mistake. You did not send your guys to me because you finished another job early (9am?). You sent them at the wrong time which you already apologized for but are now lying to save face like every other weird lie you included in your response. None of this is true and so your response should make everyone even more uncomfortable to hire you. You were very disorganized the entire morning. I never accused anyone of stealing and merely said things were lost in the move- which happens but wish we were more careful. Sometimes you will have good experiences and sometimes bad experiences with companies. This is mine. However you responding with exaggeration and lies is gross. Good luck. read more

Helped with a local move. Only two guys showed up for work in the morning (instead of usual three) but the boss gave me a heads up by phone and the pair of them did an impressive job on their own. Wrapped items carefully, completed the move efficiently. They aren't the type of company to send a written quote or confirmation by email, but it was easy to schedule by phone and they showed up as planned! I believe I posted this on another website too, but I want to review you guys again because I am so grateful. Today two of the nicest and most friendly men came and moved several large heavy items from my apartment and placed them into storage. They were very professional, they arrived early, they wrapped and carried my furniture with care. They provided education on how to safely store your things in storage so they do not become infested or destroyed by pest. They broke everything down, wrapped it up, carried it out, and got in into storage. They had their own truck and supplies and were very efficient. I called them Friday at 1:30pm, and they got to me on Saturday at 2:15pm and we were done by 3:50pm. They were awesome and I will be using them in the future. Thank you Juan and teammate! read more

It was a good move for the most part only things are they were 30 minutes late, they charged 10 bucks for everything item shrink wrapped only One of the three men helping understood a little bit of English the other two didn't and also the conversations were in Spanish mostly so I had no clue what was going on and the person that the operator who schedules the appointment and takes the calls for appointments speaks English well but the workers do not. But all in all successful move with helpful somewhat attentive movers. read more

I got several quotes for moving. Jose at Azteca was most reasonable and honored his website quotes even though they are higher priced now. He was responsive no matter what time of day that I communicated with him. Truly he responded within minutes. I am not sure where others are noting they were not reliable as communication was impeccable for me. They showed up the day scheduled and moved me quickly but carefully. Nothing was broken. I have many 100+ year old items too! I packed a-lot myself to save money and time but they even secured my packing with additional tape and support. Of course they charged supplies because they used them! The price charged was reasonable so I was fine with it. They were using them to secure my belongings. They know their business and how to best protect my belongings. I would recommend them highly. They never stopped working. They even started removing plastic wrap once I was in my new place. They asked several times if I needed anything else. They even hung my shower curtain and rod! Unwrapped my marble tops and put on correct furnishings. They placed furniture in places I wanted and made great suggestions on placements too. You will miss out on a great mover if you do not use these guys. The worst! I scheduled movers to be at my place between 10am-12pm. The owner called and confirmed with me that morning around 8:30am. I called around 10 times and waited hours for movers to show up. I wanted to return my uhaul truck the same day. The movers didn't show up until 4pm!!!! My daughter and I had moved everything out the truck by they time they showed up! With the exception of the bedroom set, sofa, and tv stand. The movers asked if there was anything else needed and I said "yes, my curtains needed hung". They said "no problem ". They drill 4 big holes in my wall and came to the conclusion that didn't have the correct tools!!!! I currently have a wall full I holes that I have to get fixed! Yes, the movers move furniture fast! But, don't ask them to hang up anything and don't expect them to be prompt!!!! The worst experience I've ever had with movers. I will not hire them again!!!! read more

They were late! Then Juan (the boss) wanted to overcharge me. It was our agreement that I would pay for 2 men for 2 hours to move my furniture from my small apartment to another apartment one floor up in the same building. He texted me back that he understood that I had the freight elevator for ONLY 2 hours. I even agreed to pay for the truck fee as a courtesy. When they finally arrived, Juan says to me, there are 3 men and minimum of 2 1/2 hours minimum I would have to pay. He asked me ... who did I talk to? I told him that he was the only one I had multiple texts and calls with. I told him that I will pay for 2 men and 2 hours of work as agreed. I only had the freight elevator for 2 hours. After moving, he said to me in front of my family that he has to pay his men and that he can't even pay for the gas. I wish I could have paid more. I did budget for tipping. And I did tip his men $50 each. I appreciated their hard work. read more

Called them and booked them for my move which was exciting because it was quick and painless, per their request they asked me to text back the info of the move. Day of move I didn't hear anything from them, I call to confirm. They confirm a different time with me and say they will be late but after correcting the time they said they will be there. They never showed up, they never picked up when I called, completely ghosted me. I received A+++ service Sunday 05/29. They were about 8 minutes early 3 Awesome young men. I booked them for 5 hours and they were done in 4.50 hours. They shrink wrapped everything and nothing was damaged. They even put some crates and boxes in the closets for me without me even asking. Gustavo, Enrique and Cesar were a 3 man Get the Work Done crew. They carried stuff from the 2nd floor and I had moved from the Westside to Bronzeville to a high rise on the 10th floor. I know we will possibly move 1 more time to a senior building and these guys are my go to movers. I already have 2 friends who want to use them! Juan told me he was sending his best and he actually did. He said they speak a little English and I said I speak por quito Espanol...it all worked out. They tried to overcharge me after, but I refused to pay for an extra hour (minimum was to pay for 3 hours, they worked for 3 and tried to charge me for 4).
