So far this have been the best pancakes I've had this year. To my surprise they were delicious, nice and fluffy. When you walk in you sit wherever you want, you take our own menu and once you're ready to order you order at the counter. No waitresses. Service was fast and easy. What a great little cafe in Vista! Was looking for a quick bite and we drove past and saw this cafe and decided to give a try. We're so glad we did! We ordered the California Scramble, Santa Fe Turkey omelet, South of the Border Benedict and Kids Eggs and Toast. We also got 2 coffees and a Watermelon Lemon Ginger juice. Everything came out pretty quickly, was fresh and delicious. Definitely great value for the amount of food your get. We're so happy we decided to take chance on this Cafe! Unfortunately, we were too hungry and I forgot to take photos but will definitley be back and will update my review with pics next time. The staff were great, very courteous and nice! There's also plenty of parking so no need to worry about looking for looking or having to pay. If you guys are looking for some great delicious good in Vista, please do yourself a favor and stop by, you won't be disappointed! read more

We just stumbled upon this place since we were in the area. A small cute place their chilaquiles are the best. And portions are huge. Little spicy but delicious. My son ordered pancakes and they were fluffy and huge. Delicious, it's a self service place, you place the order at the counter and the sit wherever you like, then they bring the food to you. You get your coffee and fountain drinks yourself. read more

Located in a small strip mall in Vista, California, this is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat, just as we did for while we were attending the DrumFlip swap meet event a few doors down. This place serves breakfast & lunch & is open until 3:00. Very good food, despite the wait when it gets busy. My boyfriend had the french toast, bacon, & scrambled eggs & I had the huevos rancheros. Breakfast here is delicious! My son had a fight down the street and we came here to grub immediately after he weighed in. Cute little place with tables and chairs and some booths. You order your food at the counter and then they bring it to you. They don't check on you after that however. I got the farmhouse medley I think it was called, which was one of their specials for the day. It was eggs, bacon, cheese, avocado, and tomatoes. It also came with home potatoes and an English muffin. I could have also chosen cottage cheese or fruit instead of the potatoes and it gave me a few options of bread as well. The Mexican Benedict is a MUST HAVE! Wow, it hit the spot in flavor, texture, portion size, freshness, and uniqueness! Never have I been more satisfied with a breakfast meal. And I'm one of those people who doesn't usually go outside of my comfort zone on menu items but this was an easy YES! Had to do it and didn't regret it. Fresh self-serve coffee in a big mug also made me happy. Go up to the register to order and then they serve it at your table. It was a Wednesday morning around 10am and it was fairly busy without a wait. I saw a diverse group of patrons, early workers on their lunch break, families, elderly couples, and little ol' me grabbing a bite before a business meeting nearby. This breakfast spot is located in a quaint center with its own parking lot. I enjoyed my avocado toast, served with lemon zest, sesame seeds, and a delicious fresh-tasting pickle, which was a delightful touch. They also offer plenty of hot sauce options, which I appreciated as a fan of spicy food. They serve both breakfast and lunch all day until closing, which is a great option. My friends and I arrived on a Saturday, and it wasn't super busy. We didn't have to wait for a table, and the food at our table came out quickly. Another great visit! We went for a light breakfast...ended up trying a bit of everything. Delicious food, great service, and comfortable vibe. The price for quantity and quality was a steal. Big standouts were the stuffed French toast and Nutella French toast. The share plates became a war zone, and I barely got to try some of it. First off let me say that I ate here a week ago and I forgot to leave a positive review, the very next day I was out and about and I didn't feel like grabbing a fast food breakfast so I opted for Denny's....well that was a mistake. If you're a Vista local or even in the surrounding areas of Carlsbad or San Marcos, this little spot is totally worth it. It's the PERFECT little lunch or breakfast spot. So many good offerings as well as daily/weekly specials they post at the register. Now I understand Denny's is a "go to" for many people, what I'm saying is quit wasting your money on Denny's and come grab some food that has heart. The plates and portions do not disappoint. They seem to take pride in what they serve and that my Yelp friends is what it should be all about. Valeria at the counter has such a great personality as well. read more

We've been here four times now for both breakfast and lunch. They offer a discount if you pay cash. Nice options for coffee and tea. Numerous choices for breakfast items. We've had omelettes, French toast, combo for breakfast, different sandwiches and burritos for lunch. So far all the food we have tried has been excellent. The staff working here is very friendly and helpful. Always wanting to make sure you have everything you need. The side fruits they serve with their meals is very fresh and high-quality. While the ambience is not much to recommend it, it is a cozy and enjoyable local spot. read more

I ordered the avocado toast and thought it tasted good. It was the first time I've had avocado toast with a pickle and I actually liked it. I just wish they had more bread options for the toast. Husband found this place and based on today, it's a breakfast keeper! For starters, it was Sunday at 1:30pm and we were so glad they serve breakfast till they close (at 2pm)! Two of us chose omelettes, one had a breakfast burrito. The food including the veggies and the avocados was so fresh and as good as "made at home"! The tortilla was even a wheat tortilla!!! The 'salsa' was good. They serve both regular and dark roast brewed coffee. They do sell espresso drinks but we don't try those this time. I haven't been at am goodness for quite a while now. The coffee is good. The food is ok. They have great breakfast potatoes. But the counter service sucks. It's obvious that they are forced to be there with there parents. The dining room needs some lovve!bare unpainted walls. No deco,none zero... Great new spot in Vista--I really hope it sticks around! The setup is casual: you order at the counter, and the coffee and drinks are self-serve. The staff was wonderful, especially the ladies who were patient and super helpful in navigating the menu. The ambiance is still evolving; the space feels fresh with empty walls and not much character yet. But with food this amazing, I'm sure the coziness and charm will come with time. I don't normally drink much coffee but had two cups as it was that good. They have a special Serbian plate that I would like to try next time. Seventeen people standing on the sidewalk staring at their phones. Every table occupied. A hostess tells you, "We can text you when it's ready," like you're waiting for an organ transplant. Then two hours later you finally sit down and eat an egg that tastes... like an egg. Meanwhile, Curbside Cafe in Vista is over here serving possibly the best breakfast we've ever eaten IN OUR LIVES, and a quarter of the tables are empty. WHAT ARE WE DOING, PEOPLE? I had the crab cake Benedict. I'm not exaggerating when I say my wife and I just stared at each other after the first bite. Apparently they make the crab cakes in-house every morning. Of course they do. Because apparently this restaurant has decided to quietly make unbelievable food and tell absolutely nobody about it. Then we tried the Monte Cristo. I don't even know what this thing was. It was like somebody took a Monte Cristo, somehow baked the whole thing together inside this incredible pastry, and then decided, "Yeah, that seems good enough. Put it on the menu." GOOD ENOUGH?! The flavor was ridiculous. I've never eaten anything like it. Our kids ate their ENTIRE plates of waffles and sausage. Parents understand this is probably the strongest endorsement in this review. Getting children to finish an entire restaurant meal is harder than getting a reservation at one of those trendy brunch places. And the woman taking care of us couldn't have been friendlier. No attitude. No feeling like we should be grateful they allowed us into the building. Just genuinely nice people serving incredible food. Then she tells us we get a DISCOUNT because it's the weekend. Excuse me? A WEEKEND DISCOUNT? Every other restaurant has figured out how to charge me $6 more because it's Saturday. These people are apparently running their business backwards. And that's what makes this place so great. Curbside Cafe doesn't seem to know it's supposed to be pretentious. Nobody told them that when your food is this good, you're supposed to have a 90-minute wait, Edison bulbs hanging from the ceiling, a neon sign that says something like "BUT FIRST, BRUNCH," and a $24 plate with one egg leaning against a piece of toast. Instead, they just make insanely good food, charge reasonable prices, treat you nicely, and apparently DISCOUNT IT ON THE WEEKEND. The whole restaurant acts like this is completely normal. The omelet appeared liked a stuffed omelet, with it being higher vs longer/wider. I discovered there was a lot of cheese with the ham. I like cheese but this baby was Cheesy with a capital C. It was good though. Hashbrowns were cooked perfect for me. I always worry about overcooked or undercooked. I will be returning and recommend others give it a try if they haven't already.

One table inside occupied and two outside when we entered. We were greeted by a very pleasant wait staff who were extremely helpful and efficient. We had waters, coffee, Tea, very quickly. Coffee was very good with an assortment of creamers to choose from. I ordered a special Omelet with Chorizo and cheese off their chock board. Side of fruit ($2.50 up charge) instead of potatoes along with Rye Toast. The Toast was just one slice of bread. $17. My better half had the pancake combo, two pancakes with two eggs over easy, one sausage patty. $14.50. We enjoyed the food and service. The prices were fair for the portions and quality of what we ordered. We will add Mom's back into our Vista rotation.

1/2 order of Biscuits and Gravy (hash browns included) for $7.50 and an over medium egg for $2.

We've got a new favorite breakfast spot! The vibe here is super welcoming, and the food is seriously good. The chorizo hash is the real star--crispy potatoes, just the right amount of spice, and packed with flavor. It's the kind of dish I keep thinking about long after I leave. Eating out with a toddler can sometimes be stressful, but they made sure our little dude was taken care of from beginning to end. That alone made the experience stand out. As for the food, they had the best corned beef hash I've ever had. The potatoes were perfectly crispy and the meat was incredibly flavorful. The Silverback French toast was also a delicious treat. And as a bit of a coffee snob, I'm usually hesitant to order coffee at restaurants because I'm disappointed about 90% of the time. Their house coffee, though, was smooth, flavorful, and actually really good! We don't live in the area, but Silverback is definitely going on our list for the next time we're back. Great food, great people, and a place that genuinely makes you feel welcome.
