I needed to replace 2 fences (roughly 125' each) that had seen better days. Looking for a fence contractor is an exercise in quantity over quality, so I decided to work on the fences one at a time. I reached out to AM Services, and Anthony was the only one who successfully delivered a written estimate with enough detail for me to review/approve with my neighbor. Pricing was reasonable, and it was easy to schedule the work. Communication was good, and the new fence took 3 days to finish. The overall experience was great, so much so that I hired Anthony to replace the other fence too. My neighbors and I are very happy with the finished products. Recommended!

*UPDATE* soon after I posted the review. Instead of texting me to see how can he resolve the problem, Anthony threaded to sue me. I told him to go ahead, and I'll not change anything I wrote here. I'm exercising my first amendment right, my opinion are based on my true experience. So I hired Anthony almost 2 months ago to fix/replace bunch of things in the condo I just purchased. He helped me "fix" the pipe underneath my kitchen sink, I paid him $200 and the inspector said it was completely wrong. So I have to pay another $350 to a plumber to come and fix it. I only got refunded for $100 from Anthony even tho I should get a full refund. He will tell you he knows how to fix something even tho he doesn't. He also replaced a vanity in my bathroom, and he didn't anchor the vanity to my wall! The vanity was completely loose and I have a toddler running around in the house! It should have been a common sense to anchor the vanity to the wall. Lastly, he used the old tube from my old vanity with the new vanity. And it starts leaking when I haven't even moved in for a month yet. He said he will ask his friend to come and fix it instead of him drive all the way here because his friend lives closer to me. When I asked him about the vanity not anchoring to the wall, he never replied. That's the customer service he offers. I'll not recommend him to anyone who wants quality work, his rate is cheap but you get what you pay for.

From the first call, their communication was clear and professional The craftsmanship exceeded my expectations. The final product was even more beautiful than I had envisioned! If you're looking for custom iron work, metal gates, or modern steel designs, I highly recommend IVS Iron Works. Thank you to the team for delivering such a great result!

Ignacio, who came for the site visit and identified himself as the owner, was very easy to communicate with both in person and over the phone. However, Jackie, (not clear to me if she's the co-owner or Ignacio's wife) finalizes pricing and pretty much runs the show. For our project, we had picked IVS to do the work, but the price kept increasing by thousands of dollars. I asked to speak with Ignacio since these changes were inconsistent with what I discussed with him and put them week above our other quotes, but Jackie said that's not necessary since she decides the pricing. They also charge tax on materials, which no other fencers do (since they're already paying tax to Home Depot, etc.). These business practices felt disingenuous to me and like bait and switch. I've had issues in the past with businesses like this that once the work begins they'll change order you again and ask for more money. So we did not use them. For this fence, we received multiple quotes. Two companies were in the $9-10K range and IVS was around $12K. All were licensed and bonded. We went with the lowest quote and are extremely happy with our fence.

Joe, Miguel, and team at Expert Gate Company have been great to work with. The scope of our project…read morewas in two parts: replace our driveway gate and make it powered, and then later replace the front fence and pedestrian gate, this time incorporating a built-in parcel box and security hardware. Expert Gate's craftsmanship is rock solid and we're really happy with the results. We live on a downslope hill with MANY utility lines underground to literally work around. It was a complicated project that required an entirely custom fabrication to follow the grade of the ground, with posts in really specific positions. We worked with Joe as our Project Manager, and throughout the process he was attentive and receptive to feedback, quote negotiations, and design requests along the way. There were 3 things that popped up over the duration of the project. We kept having issues with the gate operator that took longer than anyone wanted to deal with. It ended up being a series a faulty parts from Liftmaster, and nothing to do with the installation from these guys. Additionally, there were a couple of details that I wish were incorporated into the quotes, such as measurements and design mockups (we had to talk about a couple of things and make decisions in real time, which could have been mitigated if we had more specifics on the quote & planning process). Finally, the overarching project time for the front fence did take a little longer than expected. We had to have the front of the house in a bit of a construction state for a few weeks, but ultimately the end result is polished and very well executed, and we're happy with how everything turned out. Those minor issues aside, were still glad to have worked with EG and will gladly work with them in the future. Thanks again to Joe, Miguel, and the crew!

Update: found someone else who was able to fix everything without moving the posts at all. Insanity…read morethat I was going to let these guys swap out my aluminum posts for iron posts that wouldn't even match my gate. So I ask again, what are these guys experts at? Initial experience was bad. Sales guy came, was short with me, seems uninterested. Promised to give a quote. Waited 4 days. Didn't get a reply. I wrote a bad review and moved on. Owner contacted me asking me to remove the review and he can help me out with my gate job. I needed someone to help fix a botched gate install job so agreed. The job was to remove two existing posts and replace it with new steel posts. The price quoted for TWO posts were not cheap. He seems to think he's doing me favor for labor only but it was not cheap. It cost the same amount as the full job by the other company for the full install. I'm OK with it because at that point I wanted a job to be done by someone who knows how to do the work. Of course, I found out the reason they're expensive because they SUBCONTRACT to another company that specializes in gates. Are they the expert or is the subcontractor the expert? Nevertheless, I waited a week and a half for the scheduled date. The night before, he text me and ask if I have two steel posts that they need. They quoted me a very high amount to fix two posts but does not provide the materials for the fix. These guys are supposed to be experts in STEEL gates but do not have the materials for STEEL. So what are they experts in? Subcontracting? Reselling gate install service? What irritates me is that he sprung this on me at the last moment the day before. Our conversation was that the quoted price includes labor and materials to fix except for the extra materials that are needed that are ALUMINUM which I purchased. The fact that he asked me to provide STEEL materials at the last possible moment was maybe because (a) he misquoted me or (b) the subcontractors wanted more money to do the work. In any case, I cancelled the job. I cannot trust a company that bait and switch. If you misquote, then you own the difference, not spring it on your customer at the last moment.

A former coworker had recommended Roberto on Yelp, so I called him right away. We went through the whole planning process together, got aligned on the design and materials - and then life happened and we just weren't quite ready financially to pull the trigger. Roberto was completely gracious about it. No pressure, no attitude, just patience. When we were finally ready to go, he picked right back up where we left off and his team came in and got it done. That kind of professionalism set the tone for the whole project. When his crew got into the build and found issues - and on a 40-year-old deck, they found a few - Roberto would come find me, show me what they'd discovered, explain what needed to happen, and just handle it. No surprises on the bill, no drama. Straight communication and solid work from start to finish. The finished deck is beautiful. These guys take pride in their work and it shows in every detail.
