Roberto was completely gracious about it. No pressure, no attitude, just patience. When we were finally ready to go, he picked right back up where we left off and his team came in and got it done. That kind of professionalism set the tone for the whole project. When his crew got into the build and found issues - and on a 40-year-old deck, they found a few - Roberto would come find me, show me what they'd discovered, explain what needed to happen, and just handle it. No surprises on the bill, no drama. Straight communication and solid work from start to finish. The finished deck is beautiful. These guys take pride in their work and it shows in every detail. I was impressed that he arrived having anticipated what the project might require and brought all of the materials he would need to complete the job. The team did a good job, but we did notice some of the patch jobs falling apart or allowing bubbles to form after we painted. Considering how bad the siding was in places, I'm not shocked but it would have been nice if they had pulled us aside to replace the boards that weren't serviceable instead of patching. Despite everything, would recommend working with Longshore.

He left the original job on Friday saying he would return the following week to finish a few remaining items. After that, I spent over a month trying to get a response, with little to no communication and no explanation for this treatment. When I finally expressed my frustration, he admitted he had intentionally been ignoring me because of the earlier misunderstanding and offered to send someone to finish the outstanding tasks, "if that's what I was upset about." That level of unprofessionalism was far more disappointing than the few remaining tasks on the project. Misunderstandings happen, but they shouldn't result in giving a customer the silent treatment and leaving a job unfinished. I cannot recommend someone who responds to conflict by avoiding communication completely.

I sent him photos and within a few hours, he responded back with a quote, which was quite reasonable. We made an appointment for Saturday morning as we wanted to surprise our daughter with the vanity built for her birthday. My son was also excited that his desk was going to be assembled as he wanted someplace to study, as well as a place to sit and play online Roblox with his friends instead of the dining room table. Guilherme texted me 15 minutes before our appointment to say that they were running behind schedule and would be at our home 20 minutes later than our scheduled appointment. I appreciated his communication with me that they were going to be late. When Guilherme arrived, he was accompanied by Isabella (who I learned was his fiancée who works with him). They were very friendly, and both went right to work on assembling the two items. It is very obvious from the unsatisfactory appearance that your employee lied to me and never applied the primer. He also agreed to use fiberglass tape because paper drywall tape has a tendency to bubble if not properly applied, which it has now. Moreover, the cause for drywall tape bubbling or cracking is almost always not enough mud under the tape or too much mud on top. This was not the professional job I expected.
