Went for a birthday celebration and food was great! Lovely interior and great staff members. There's also a parking lot across so it makes it easy to get there. While the portions are small, I did fill up quickly.

I did not have high expectations for this place going in. But I have to say I was very impressed with the food there. We went there thinking we will have breakfast/brunch but their breakfast ends a little early, so check the time before you go. Everything we ate was delicious. Very flavorful and fresh. It's on one side of the hotel lobby. Looks really nice aesthetically. The service was quick and our server was amazing. Would like to go back and try dinner there, The menu looks really good. See photos for what was ordered.

Since this was in the new Atlas Hotel in the Alston area and I was staying there. It's conveniently located right across the street from Harvard Business school, and it was easy to get to and from both, each day. This was my breakfast spot each AM. I appreciated the ambiance and the kind service. Food was good. Service was slow, but I didn't mind. I don't like rushing early in the morning anyway. The gluten free toast and muffin options were appreciated. Would love to try lunch or dinner on a return visit.

Pozole Verde

I started my meal with the soup, Pozole Verde. It exceeded all expectations. So many ingredients and flavors packed into this powerful bowl. Poblano Pepper & Tomatillo Broth, Hominy, Braised Pork, Avocado, Chili Oil, Queso Fresco, Radish, Purple Cabbage, Cilantro, Crispy Tortilla. My dining companion had the beet salad which came out looking beautiful with its rich colors and tasted as good as it looked. Beet Salad - Red & Yellow Beets, Honey Whipped Goat Cheese, Baby Kale, Citrus, Candied Pistachio, Cilantro, Scallion Vinaigrette We both had the duck leg for our main course and it was delicious, perfectly tender meat and delightful crispy glazed skin. Confit Duck Leg - Jerk Glaze, Pickled Red Cabbage, Sweet Potato Pavé, Chive Oil. I only wish I had another leg! The service was attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed and leisurely. Plenty of room for dessert where my companion had the chocolate cake which they adored. For me, the buttercream wasn't quite sweet enough and the caramel just not enough caramel for me. Chocolate Cake - Three Layer Cake, Salted Caramel Cardamom, Italian Buttercream, Pistachio Crumb My dessert, however, was the sticky date pudding, which had all the sweetness and toffee needed to satisfy my sweet tooth. The spiced cake surrounded by a moat, full of toffee crunch sauce is a must have. Sticky Date Pudding - Spiced Date Cake, Toffee Crunch Sauce, Vanilla Rum Mascarpone

I had the American chop suey with bone marrow, which was a unique take and well executed. Not something you see often, and it worked. I also had the chocolate mousse for dessert, which was very good. I had a couple of IPAs with the meal, and the beer selection held up. Service was good throughout. Friendly, attentive, and well paced. The space has a good vibe with great music playing, which added to the experience. The bar which I sat at itself is large, but it does feel a little cramped. It could probably use a few fewer stools to open things up a bit. Overall, this is a solid and interesting spot in Teele Square. Good food, good drinks, and a place I would come back to.

I'm happy to say the Hollows is fantastic and we can't wait to return. I was initially intrigued by the menu - for example, Caesar Cucumbers, Frisee Salad, Tripe, Octopus, Deviled Eggs, Chips and Queso, the Tagliatelle with Artichoke and Jalapeno - it was refreshing to see some unique dishes. The host and waitstaff are very hip - and also incredibly friendly! It was nice to feel like I was in a "cool" restaurant, but everyone was really kind. I love the space - an absolutely gorgeous and cozy indoor fireplace; we saw several solo diners seated at the fireplace with books and I'm tempted to return for a solo evening and sit by the fireplace myself. The bar area is great and very conducive to socializing. We sat in the main dining room, but I did notice they have a room off to the side; I'll file that away if I'm looking for a special occasion with a somewhat larger party. We ordered the Duxbury oysters (incredibly fresh and briny), deviled eggs (perfect paprika smokiness), chop suey, and phenomenal mussels steamed in green curry and mango (delicious and a nice kick of heat). I personally loved their $9 crisp prosecco on tap! We can't wait to return and try other items on the menu. I love that they source items locally - phenomenal gelato from Dragon Pizza and tea from MEM Tea in Davis Square. The owners stopped by various tables to check-in with customers and I believe I saw the chef out and about as well. It was honestly so refreshing to go out to a local restaurant with excellent vibes but also feel like the owners and staff are just genuinely really nice and aiming for customers to have a nice evening. I also think this is a great spot if you're looking for some solo dining, starting up conversations at the bar, or just date night or a family dinner. Highly recommend and we can't wait to return!

TL;DR - if you are from Bombay, are craving that specific Bombay Chinese food taste, and Vada Pav - look no further - this is the place. Most of their staff are fellow Mumbaikars - shout out to Shiv, Dhvani, and Ronak! Shiv, our server was friendly and our hungry table got straight to ordering which included a flavor packed and well priced Lychee Martini ($10), Masala Chai Hot Toddy ($12), and Spicy 'Lil Rita ($12) - being the best one! Food included some well name dishes like Kashmiri Deviled Eggs ($12), Vada Pav ($12), Rasam Risotto ($15), Butter Chicken Pot Pie ($20), Chicken Steak with Makhani Sauce ($18), Street Fried Noodles ($16), and Penne Pasta with Chicken for the kiddos. Food just hits the right spots and is very flavorful, extremely well seasoned, and perfectly spiced. Interiors and their bar is very inviting. Noise levels during our stay were on the lower end. Service was excellent. What was refreshing was they didn't charge us any automatic gratuity even for our large group - but absolutely deserved a generous one! Highly highly recommend if flavorful food is your thing!

They were the dark horse that I never would have thought about ordering normally. Biscuits for dinner? Eh. But they were delicious and lighter than expected and the pimento cheese I could have ate by the spoonfuls. The oysters were clean and delicious. Everything you hope to have from Northeast oysters especially being from Texas where most of the places here serve Gulf oysters that don't even come close to comparing. I could have drank the mignonette. The pimento mac n cheese was on point and flavorful (and again that pimento cheese, yum). The wagyu burgers were so good. The burger was tender and flavorful, the bread was soft and light and slightly sweet, and the onion ring added a great texture to the mix. Think of a amped up western burger. The ambiance was a cool vibe yet a home feel. We were seated quickly but it took awhile for anyone to acknowledge us. Service was good once it started and the food came out quickly. If we ever make it back to Boston, it will definitely be on our list to revisit. Great late dinner spot. Simple foods done right. (Oh, and the drinks were delicious. I wanted to try them all. Mine tasted exactly like an apple pie.)

Wow what a great meal!…read more We went as a party of five. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodated us running late as well. Our server was so kind and gave us helpful advice on our order. We ended up ordering the Jerk Duck drumettes which were incredible -- super soft fall off the bone duck in a tangy sauce with some spice. Truly perfect and I think we all licked our plates clean. We also tried the fried okra which had little okra sticks set in a yogurt dip and was a really nice compliment to the drumettes. Last we got the Plantain chips which were so good -- definitely some of the best plantain chips I have had because they cut them so thin! And the dipping sauce was yummy also, would definitely start your meal with this. For mains, we shared the Suya Fennel, Goat Ragu, and Prawn Curry. I'm not sure I've ever eaten a fennel dish before but the Suya Fennel was so yummy with different textured vegetables in a creamy sauce. The prawn curry was also incredible with five fat prawns in a tangy coconut curry sauce with a side of fried roti/paratha perfect for cleaning up all the sauce. They also were easily able to accommodate a nut allergy and put the cashew cream on the side for us! The goat ragu was also yummy but came out like-warm (not sure if that's how it's supposed to come) and was overshadowed by the other mains a bit. For dessert we ended up trying all three -- the Cardamom Semifredo, Chocolate Raspberry Clafoutis, and Mango ice cream and love all of them! I think we all agreed our favorite was the Cardamom Semifredo because it's so unique -- the texture of the cake is almost like rasmalai and it comes with crunchy puffed rice which was a perfect balance. Definitely worth trying if you're open to trying something new! We also loved the mango ice cream with peanut brittle which is thicker than typical ice creams and also like a mango lassi ice cream. The chocolate clafoutis was super solid and similar to a lava cake, and perfect if you're looking for a chocolate fix, but not as unique as the other two. Overall we had such a great time at Comfort Kitchen. The service was great, the food was great, and the vibes were great. We will certainly be back!

We visited around 8:30pm, 2 hours before close, & had no issues grabbing a table for 2! Service was top-notch & food was amazing. These are the dishes we ordered: -Aachar Beef -Fried Okra -Jerk Duck Drumettes -Fried Trout -Prawn Curry w/ Roti Everything we ordered was absolutely DELICIOUS! The Aachar Beef consists of 8 sliced grilled beef, laid over some green tomato aioli w/ some fingerling potatoes + pickled shallots. Had great flavor & every ingredient paired well w/ each other. I personally LOVE okra, so the fried okra was right up my alley! It came with garama masala yogurt, which was SO ADDICTIVE to eat. Now, if you're like us & ordered the Jerk Duck Drumettes as well, PLEASE try dipping the fried okra in both the jerk sauce AND the yogurt dip... it's such a lovely flavor bomb! I highly recommend the Jerk Duck Drumettes for anyone who is a fan of duck... or even for those who don't usually like duck honestly. It's not gamey at all & was super tender. The sauce was finger-licking good! It packed some heat, as did the crab fat hot sauce that came w/ the fried trout & the prawn curry. Normally in my reviews, I have a clear favorite for dishes we order but I have to admit... it's pretty hard to say which was my favorite from here because everything was just that tasty! The Fried Trout comes boneless, with some coleslaw & crab fat hot sauce that made for the perfect dip! Highly recommend if you like a bit of spice. The Prawn Curry was my favorite entree. I couldn't stop eating it & by the end of our meal, we had finished everything INCLUDING the curry and sauces hahaha. Seriously, you can't go wrong with anything you order from Comfort Kitchen! One of the best & most satisfying meals I've had in a while. I will definitely be back again soon. Parking: free street parking
