I hit a giant pot hole on 101 South on my way home one night. I called so many places trying to find a way to get my rim fixed as soon as possible. There was a huge bend in it. When I called AMA I talked to Omar and he was super nice and helpful. I took my car in the next day (Thursday) and the guys swapped my tire out for my spare; and added air to all my tires. Omar told me that they'd try to get my wheel back by the next day, but Saturday the latest. I got a call on Friday that it was ready to be picked up and I was really happy. Paid $200 (which was definitely worth it). This was last week and when I'm in the area again and need something I'll probably be going back to them. read more

I was looking for a muffler repair shop in Redwood City. After locating several and asking for an estimate on cost to install part I already purchased for repair,stopping at two locations prior to AMA the vehicle wasn't even looked at and I was given a ballpark figure on cost of repair. Omar proprietor at AMA said "I don't know if I could fix it today" but after seeing the disappointment on wife's and my faces put it up on the rack and diagnosed the problem, which was by the way different from the original diagnosis. My brakes needed an overhaul but I needed it done on the cheap so I rode my bike around to every single brake/tire place on Middlefield and El Camino in Redwood City. Almost every single shop wanted $200 per axle plus extra if the rotors/drums needed work. I walked in to AMA and they said they would do pads and resurfacing for $165. I grabbed their card and kept visiting other shops, but nobody in the entire town had a deal that good. I went back later in the week and they put my car up, took the weels off, and examined it. When all was said and done, for under $200 they did a full pad/resurfacing job on the front brakes and a teardown/adjustment on the rear. Quick, friendly, cheap, and my brakes have been riding great for weeks. Would recommend to anyone in town. read more

I've been going to these guys for about 7 years. I've bought nearly new used tires. Though the prices have been going up, I still got a set of practically new Michelin's (These could not have had more than a hundred or so miles) for about $160 less than Costco up the street (Yeah, Costco has a pretty good warranty and road hazard fix deal). I ran over a box cuter blade in my 2018 MB GLE, I thought the tire was ruined! I called MB in Belmont, it took almost an hour to get through to the service department and they were not sure if they had a tire on site for a replacement. While waiting to hear back I decided to take it to a local tire repair to see if they could fix it, I found AMA and they were fantastic! I was particularly impressed by the tire shop a couple days ago. It was when I found that one front tire of my Lexus EX350 seemed to loss pressure, I went the shop to check out. The tire was one of a set that the shop put on for me a few weeks back. The owner/manager checked the tire for me and asked me to go back the very next day. He promised to find me a same tire to replace the one with issue. That was exactly what he did for me. He replaced it with a new one without any charge. I had my three cars to fix/check the tire problems in the shop. The experiences have been excellent. I would highly recommend to everyone. The shop is clean. They are very friendly, polite, helpful. They check all the tire pressure and other potential issues before you have your vehicle checked out. Their tires are very reasonably priced with quality.
