READ THIS this before setting up a consultation with Dr. Amadi!! I'm very DISAPPOINTED with this practice! Dr Amadi & his practice reneged on an agreement they made with me. I was very specific in stating that I was exploring surgical procedures and I may not be able to accommodate a surgical procedure. I said I would only agree to spend $250 on a consult with him if I could use it toward a non-surgical procedure like injectables if I decided not to move forward. They agreed, and now, they are RENEGING on that promise!! They have no problem now that they have your money!! They've apologized for the misunderstanding, but will not make any exception or offer any kind of concession. So be clear, that when you give them $250 or more to have a consultation with Dr. Amadi, you will lose that amount if you decide not to do a surgical procedure or decide not to move forward with him. They will justify this action by saying he takes 1.5hrs of his time to consult with you. I did not dispute that. I was clear of the time he was spending but again, they said I could apply it to a non-surgical procedure. I thought this was fair because I kept the money in his practice. I was not asking for my money back. Aside from this, their front desk and Dr Amadi were nice. You have choices! Do your research and ask for their policies. Ask how they do their consultations. Get things in writing. As a sidenote, from my experience & opinion, 1.5hrs is not needed when you're just exploring options and doctors for the first time. You want to talk with other Plastic surgeons to get their inputs, costs and policies. Most of these intro level appointments have not been more than 30 to 60 minutes elsewhere. And if I wanted to explore further wi a doctor I booked another appointment. If Dr Amadi wants to run his practice this way, that's his choice. Just be very clear that you will lose that money if you choose not to do surgery with him. read more

I visited the Mercer Island location for Botox. I saw Holly & really appreciated her conservative approach. I desire a smooth but more natural look. I don't prefer to be completely frozen especially around the eyes. Though previously injectors were similarly meticulous...I really appreciated Holly's honesty & feel like she wasn't trying to upsell me. Her recommend units were thoughtful & she explained her rationale. She even offered a complimentary touch up & adjustment after two weeks to ensure my skin looked perfect. My results are the best yet even though I have a resistant brow...I look even & not heavy IYKYK! This will be my 14th year getting Botox. Loss of vision, corneal damage, my eyelids detaching and now failing to close during sleep are not the same as "dry eye." What I experienced was severe and permanent injury. Moreover, there was no effort whatsoever made to help me. The moment I tried to speak with you about my eye concerns, you said you had to get off the phone and you stopped communicating entirely. Neither you nor anyone from your office responded to my calls or emails seeking medical help. As long as we are communicating via yelp, in addition to many other abnormalities which took place, you demanded and coerced more money, over $10,000 via a wire transfer, while I was on my way into the operating room and already had begun sedation and confined to a wheelchair, personally standing over my wheelchair making sure it was sent to your bank account, down to the last fifty cents. read more

It has been a year since I went to Dr. Amadi for a lower blepharoplasty with fat repositioning. Everyday I regret doing so. For me, not only was the cosmetic result discouraging, but I now have to live with a medical condition that will cost me $600 monthly, along with constant discomfort and countless trips to specialists. This has negatively impacted my ability to work, and taken a toll on my mental health. I trusted Dr.Amadi to perform lower eyelid fat repositioning for me a year ago because (1) he has good reviews, (2) he is specialized in this field, and (3) his assistant claimed he charges more than most practices in the area because he's "the best". I thought that these were all good indicators of his competency, but I didn't realize that they could also be indicators of his arrogance and negligence. He never seemed to take my specific situation into account, and ended up creating more problems than he solved. Cosmetic Results (see photos): Hollowness/Depression on the right eye - caused by fat removal Two raised bumps when I smile - caused by fat repositioning Medical Condition: After the surgery, my right eye has been constantly irritated and in pain. I asked Dr. Amadi about it in every follow-up appointment but he just told me to wait and that it would get better with time. It didn't. In our last appointment (more than six months after the surgery), he finally suggested that I see a dry eye specialist. I have tried many types of medication since then. The only medication that has any effect is an eye drop that costs $600 a month, and most insurance doesn't cover it. For anyone who's considering doing an eyelid surgery with Dr.Amadi, especially if you're an Asian female, please please reconsider and do more research. You don't want to make a decision that will negatively impact you for the rest of your life. read more

Dr. Amadi was recommended to me by my most trusted doctor (Dr. Heather Rogers of Modern Dermatology) as the guy in Seattle for eyes. Her endorsement was more than enough for me and I'm pleased to report that she was spot on as usual. The surgery itself went smoothly and there was absolutely no discomfort. The recovery was a bit tougher than I anticipated but I am historically very optimistic about my ability to bounce back. If you work on a computer, give yourself a solid break from activities that require clear vision and focus. Also be prepared for swelling to get worse before it gets better! At the peak, I emailed Dr. Amadi and got a lighting fast response telling me things were looking great! Very reassuring. I am very happy with my results. As I hoped, nobody noticed and it looks totally natural. Just like me with a few less years of wear and tear. Took my money and eyes look worse than before. I did have previous eye surgery that may have been a factor, but based on my recent experience, he should have told me he could not help me instead of making it worse. Then he was recommending another surgery to correct, of course, more costly. I am convinced now that we (cosmetic patients) sign our life away. Plastic Surgeons just walk away with your money. What can we do? Nothing. FYI: Dr. Barnett is the reason I ended up at Dr. Freed, Dr. Kaufman and then Dr. Amadi. I had the Asian eyelid surgery done to fix my "fat eyelids" by Dr Amadi. I chose him b/c after interviewing several doctors who are local, Dr Amadi was the best candidate. His background from New York and being in Seattle made it more convincing compared to the Portland doctors who have only practiced locally, and I would assume where most of their clients would be white. Results: I am about 1 month post surgery and have been very happy with the results. More and more it became natural looking. I took all the suggestions from Dr Amadi on what and how it should be done. I trusted him and believed he knows what's best for me, and there was no mistake :) Experience: The staff at Dr Amadi's office was the friendliest and most welcoming of all the doctors offices I called. They listened. Also, the pricing and cost breakdown was very clear and honest. My surgery experience had been very very pleasant. Given that the clinic is an actual house in a residential neighborhood, it was far more comfortable than in a hospital setting. Dr. Amadi is realistic with the results he promises and is willing to spend the time you need to get your questions answered. I saw Dr. Amadi inquiring about a neck lift and lower face lift. He gave me several options and supported the choice I made. I felt very confident in his knowledge and skills, and I did lots of research in reviews that supported this observation. As surgery day approached my anxiety was increasing, but I think this is normal. Dr. Amadi and his staff offered me support and solutions to work through this. Post op went well. I will have to admit I did not prepare myself for the level of surgery this is. Dr. Amadi and his staff made everything very clear to me, but the gravity did not set in until post op. The pain was not unbearable and easily managed with meds. I was pleasantly surprised at how little bruising there was too. The swelling was what I anticipated, but this part I was aware of was the internal feeling or lack thereof. I'm post op 5 weeks and I am still regenerating feeling. It mostly feels like someone is pulling on my face all of the time with numb areas. I'm trusting the process and know that in time this will fade. Dr. Amadi made it clear to me that recovery can be 6 -12 months. I think what I understand now is that is not the esthetics of it. Esthetically I'm ecstatic! The pre and post op pictures are amazing, again I'm 5 weeks out and I have no regrets. But the underlying healing and regeneration are still in process and based on how I feel right now, this could go on for another 3-6 months. But that's ok, I'm down for that. I just wish I had personally set this expectation early on. I didn't find many people shared this part of their experience and I know everyone process will be slightly different. I honestly look and feel 15 years younger and while the healing process is still happening, and I experience little different things along the way I feel so much better about how I look. I no longer obsess over the sagging neck and chipmunk jowls. The scars are super easy to hide and every day they fade more and more. I know there will be a day, these won't even cross my mind. And after lots of research and a couple different consultations, I chose to work with him. I strongly believe he's not only one of the best surgeons in WA, but also one of the best in the business. After reading all of the other stellar reviews of people who were ecstatic with their results and also reading about his impressive credentials, I was convinced. But our in person consult also told me that he was a confident surgeon who knew exactly what he was doing. I understood the risks involved in surgery as best as I could but also knew that if anyone was going to get it right, it was going to be him. And I'm so glad I did. I would highly suggest reading as many detailed reviews as possible and doing extensive research on any procedure you intend to have. There are so many reasons people may want to elect to have a surgery but if you've made it so far as to be ready to pull the trigger on it, just make sure your fully prepared. One thing to keep in mind is that while you will look AMAZING weeks or even months later, you will have to be patient with your results until then. Very patient. It is hard to go into something wanting to look and feel better but to actually look and feel worse until you've fully healed. But that is a part of the process and the commitment that surgery takes. You will be so happy you did this, but the results aren't exactly instant. You have to commit to healing. Take care of yourself and do everything Amadi suggests. He is a wise and skilled professional who's pre and post of care instructions are there for good reasons. And if you have any questions, ask! Ask ALL the questions! You are spending good money on this and you deserve to have every resource available to you. And his team will gladly help you. I must've called so many times about questions...and they promptly and patiently answered all of them with care and kindness. He and his team are there to make you as happy and comfortable as they possibly can, utilize them and they're knowledge. My life is so much better after Dr. Amadi's help. I finally look my age and my face reflects my health and happiness. I no longer waste time and money on creams that were never going to solve the real issue. I no longer stress about taking photos. This review is long overdue. I have never seen Dr. Amadi. I saw Alex, LME for 3 sessions of Morpheus microneedling w/ radiofrequency late 2022. She is my person! Although numbing cream is applied prior to procedure, you'll still feel zings, and Alex was so patient and kind and gave me breaks w/o making me feel like I was a nuisance. I was always so excited to see her 1. because I love her energy and she is so sweet and 2. because I knew that I was one session closer to tighter and smoother skin! Dr Amadi is great at what he does. I'm 3 months out, no scarring and happy with my results. A few caveats: First, nobody warned me about the "anxiety/panic" you feel post op. I hadn't expected to be so worried about everything but, when it's your eyes, every thing that happens during the healing process is heightened. I was suddenly terrified I wouldn't be able to close my lids fully again, worried about the swelling when the stitches came out, scared the blurriness wouldn't go away, concerned my eyelid might be droopier etc etc. I'm generally not a high stress person but this can make you a bit crazy so, be warned! Having said that, Dr Amadi made himself very available via text which was definitely helpful! He even saw me on the weekend when I was worried about an eye infection. The other thing I will mention is that I have had a few "complications", my dry eye is a bit worse and I have some eye "pain/pressure/twitching" occasionally not sure exactly why and we're still hopeful it will subside in time. Again, DrAmadi has been very available though and is extremely knowledgeable about all things eyes so you are in good hands! read more

Dr. Amadi was recommended to me by a dermatologist for possible surgery for extreme dry eyes. I got one opinion from a surgeon who prescribed surgery. I decided to consult Dr. Amadi for a second opinion. He stated that he didn't agree that I needed further surgery, but rather recommended that I look into the possibility of sclera contact lenses. I agreed. Certainly it is unusual for a surgeon to recommend something other than surgery. The lenses are expensive, but worth every penny. For me, they have been an answer to a prayer.
