Had Amanda Plumbing out to repair a very small tank leak. Their technician did that, but sometime during the course of his work, the toilet flange cracked and was leaking water into my basement. A toilet with no prior history of leaking, suddenly starts leaking an hour after their technician begins working on it. Amanda Plumbing does not feel they are responsible for fixing since the flange was not within their scope of work or not an extension of the toilet itself. At 9 am, I had a perfectly fine toilet with a very minor tank leak. An hour later when their technician finished and did a test flush, I had a leak which was determined to be a cracked flange that was leaking into my basement. Undoubtedly the owner will be quick to point out another company serviced the toilet prior and the installation of the flange was not done to code. I agree. I bought my house 11 months ago and 11 months ago I had this toilet reset and for 11 months, I had zero issues. There is also no evidence of prior leaking in the subfloor or anywhere around the toilet. All things considered, is it a coincidence that a toilet flange suddenly breaks on its own in the very hour their technician is servicing the toilet? I'll leave that up to you. 1 star because they employ veterans, but I won't be using them again. read more

I contracted with Amanda on Aug 1, 2023 to install a toilet. No problem until it started to periodically run due to a leak at the flapper. I called and Amanda sent out a person to fix it. They found a gasket on the flapper was loose which they tightened. hey charged me $185 for the call stating it was outside the 90-day service warranty and I did not buy the toilet from them. Bottom line - I should have inquired about their warranty for service prior. I think 90 days is too short. From now on, I will not just call Amanda as I have already done multiple times in the past, but will get estimates from their competitors. They soured their relationship with me. read more

Wanted to changed my electric tank water heater to a gas tankless one. Called around and got three quotes. Amanda Plumbing's quote was in the middle of the three. The cheapest quote I had l, the company wasn't responsive when I try to schedule for the the job to be done. I found Amanda Plumbing to be very professional. When you schedule for an apt. You will get a automated text reminding you of the apt. On the day of the apt you will get another txt showing the plumber face his rating etc. The quote they gave me was more official looking also then some of the other quotes I was given. On the day of service Taylor n Preston came out n performed the work. They were great took almost the whole day from 9-5 but it's a lot of work they have to do. For about four hrs the water had to be off but once the first part of the install was done water is back on just no hot water till the second portion was done. Joe came out to replace some cheap plastic shut off valves and a few other items. While doing so he pointed out a small leak under a sink due to someone's DIY project which was not to code. Joe took pictures so he could have some of the other plumbers give him suggestions how to address it. I appreciated that he didn't just guess on a fix. He will be wrapping up the project tomorrow as he was short on parts due to me adding some additional items. Joe called me to let me know when he would be arriving but ended up being over an hour late. When I asked him he said an older woman was sitting on the roadside with a flat tire so he stopped to change it for her. Needless to say, I was impressed.
