Long post. Worth the read. Biggest disappointment was the unexpected fees I was charged when my item was ready to pick up. Pick Up: I was notified via text that my garment arrived within the arrival month originally estimated at the time of purchase. In the same message, I was also notified that I was now required to pay and additional "tariff fee". I replied that there was no mention of this potential fee at the time of purchase and that there was no clause in the contract that an additional fee may apply or be added later. I received an indirect response from the owner informing me the fee was fair because they are covering some of the tariff cost and that I can pay my original amount due, but they will not release the garment to until ALL fees are paid, including this new "tariff fee". The owner referred to the contract line, "All accounts must be paid in full before garments may be removed from the store." Like I said, no mention in the contract or notification in the 6 months that passed since I placed my order that the store can/would add additional fees. I called the fee a hidden fee, but the owner stated it was government imposed. In my opinion if you do not inform your client that you are charging them until the client is receiving the item, it is an undisclosed fee. The contract does say that the item must be picked up in 4 weeks; so, I did pay the dues to pick up my garment not knowing if the shop would hold rights to my item if not picked up in 4 weeks. Note: From my research other shops have provided written notice of tariff fees to the client prior to the item being available for pick up or it is listed in the contract that potential import fees may occur. Appointment: I was referred to this shop through a designer's website. I was looking for a specific dress, and the site said this shop had it. When I made my appointment request, I specifically mentioned the dress I was looking for. The shop had to reschedule my appointment but offered a 10% inconvenience discount which was honored at checkout. However, the stylist was not ready for me when I arrived. I didn't mind. The stylist had not read my appointment notes. The dress was not available at the store- it wasn't at any of their other locations. They gave me the option to order it from the designer to try it on if I paid the cost of shipping. I declined but decided to try on dresses since I was there already. The stylist had no regard for my budget. I ended up finding a skirt I liked, and the stylist went to draw up the contract. I was by myself in the front of the store and a drunk man walked in and started checking himself out in the mirror. In the wedding dress I was wearing, I picked up my things and walked to the back of the store. The man followed. The stylist asked if she could help him. He looked me up and down and then asked the stylist for a hug. She hugged him. After a couple seconds I pulled the stylist away from him and told him needed to leave. Fortunately, he did. I do not fault the shop for this incident but after that I felt uncomfortable and wanted to leave myself and felt like I was pressured into completing the purchase. The shop informed me that they have a policy now that the front door is to be locked while they are seeing a client. read more

Kamaria is amazing! This little gem tucked between art stores has the most beautiful dresses. Their gowns are made by European designers and the materials feel soft and luxuriant. We made an appointment and had the place to ourselves. I had some styles selected and she brought a couple and suggested some. My friends picked some as well. The store is brightly lit with natural sun light and also indoor lights. You stand on a pedestal to put on the gowns and twirl in front of mirrors. Kamaria was great and she helped me in and out of gowns. She was friendly and attentive. The gowns are pricey but the quality is good. Fancy details and glitter woven throughout. It was a fantastic experience and I have recommended her to another friend who is getting married too. Parking is challenging as it's on the street. read more

I'm so happy I stopped by Perla Bridal with my mom and sister in law to find my perfect dress. It was my first time trying dresses on and Kaitlyn was so helpful with the entire process. When we arrived there was a cute little sign with my name welcoming us. They also made sure to close the shop so it was just us, it made the experience more intimate. I didn't have any clue what type of dress fit my body/style so she used her expertise to pull ten different options. We ended up narrowing it down by talking through the things we liked and disliked about every dress. Eventually I tried on the one, but I wasn't 100% certain that it was at the time. Kaitlyn wasn't pushy about selling a dress but supported my decision to walk away that day. I came back a few weeks later and ended up purchasing it and having her measure me for the correct sizing. I was a little hesitant as I was on the cusp for a small/medium but she promised me it was going to be the right fit with little alterations. I was able to order the dress with rush delivery and it was delivered within 3 months as she had advised. And when it arrived it fit perfectly. My experience here was really unique and made me feel special which is what I think every bride needs since it's such a stressful party of getting married. read more

Perla Bridal offers such a unique experience, I'm so happy they opened in time for me to find my dress! I loved how private my appointment was. They only have one fitting room, so there's only one bride in at a time and I absolutely loved having the whole salon to ourselves during my appointment. One of a kind dresses Attentive Attendant left feeling beautiful and like a bride Boutique space for bride, mother of the bride, grandmother and maid of honor. Clean, intimate and welcoming. This was our last stop of the day and we were feeling dejected and felt run through the mud as we had visited two other locations in Denver that aren't even worth mentioning by name. My daughter and my Mother had been insulted in different ways at the other bridal store locations so my hopes were not high for this final stop in an all day hunt for "The Dress." Kaitlyn had met us and immediately sensed that we were very low energy. May I say, Kaitlyn is a pro and she's very good at what she does. She had us laughing and excited and quickly forgetting all the disappointments from earlier in the day. The dresses that Perla showcases are not anything like what we had seen between here and Southern California. I am thrilled to say, my daughter did find her dress and this momma cried at how beautiful this dress looked on her. I will caution you, Know these dresses can take up to a 10 months to arrive once ordered, so start shopping early! Kaitlin at Perla is the best and is the most patient person I've ever met. I might be a bridezilla. I'm very nice, but just endlessly picky, particular and indecisive. It's a tough mix. I went to a few wedding dress shops before I went to Perla and I was shocked at how fast the appointment went. I felt like I had no time to even think. Also, I wasn't really allowed to go pick out my dresses and instead, the stylist was trying to guess at my style (which I also wasn't sure of myself). Despite my friend's help and suggestions, I wasn't feeling it and left feeling disappointed. When I came into Perla with three of my girlfriends at 10 a.m., I was happy to see how adorable the place was. It's very pink, with a great couch area and pretty wallpaper. Also, the dressing room was huge!! I was also happy to learn we were the only group in the store and the morning would be dedicated to me. The dressing room is like a stage and I felt very princess like with all of my friends ooohing and ahhing. Kaitlin was very warm and welcoming, and she seemed determined to find my dream dress. It helped that the dresses there are beautiful. They have a more sparkly and dramatic look, which I personally love. I really like the designer Viero. I tried on much more expensive dresses at another shop, but Viero was so much more elegant. I finally found what I thought was my dress, all due to Kaitlin and my friends patience. It only ended up taking me until about 3 p.m!!! My poor friends were starving and running out of champagne. I said yes to what I thought was my dress, but when it came time to pay, I got cold feet. I came back to Perla the next day by myself. I couldn't subject my friends to more of my never ending vacillating about what to choose. Poor Kaitlin had to go through another 3 hours with me going back and forth. I tried on more dresses and eventually decided I was in love with different parts of each of them. Kaitlin told me that Viero allowed custom changes.... Which is awesome! So, she suggested I take the bottom I love and the top I love, and meld them together. This gave me endless options, which of course I had to run each of them by Kaitlin. She called her boss multiple times to confirm my many "visions" would work and most of them did. I just couldn't decide! Finally, with much back and forth with Kaitlin, I decided to combine my two favorite dresses into one gorgeous dress. Maybe I should be a wedding dress designer.... Kaitlin never pressured me or gave up. I am very thrilled about my dress and can't wait to see it on! I highly recommend checking out Perla. read more
