What followed was 6 months worth of Dr. visits, ER visits, a hospital stay, several MRI's, and lots of occupational & physical therapy sessions without any explanations for his continued decline and no offer of any solutions. During all this he began having violent seizure like tremors that were uncontrollable. We had just about lost hope when we were referred to a neurologist who then referred my husband to Dr. Azadeh Farin. At our first appointment with Dr. Farin she immediately recognized there was a serious issue and scheduled another emergency surgery. After performing this second surgery, the positive results could be seen and felt that same day. My husband has a long way to go but knowing he has been put in the care of such a talented and compassionate doctor brings us a lot of comfort. She is so caring and listens to your concerns. She takes the time to make sure you understand her explanations. To say we are grateful is a huge understatement! Sincerely, Mr. & Mrs. B. Kolstad P.S. Navi & Fady from her office staff have been extremely helpful throughout this process. Many thanks to the both of them.

He was so patient and very good at explaining the plan we were going to do to fix my problem with L2&3 of my lower back. This after having L4&5 done by another doctor. He made sure to connect the L2-4 even though he didn't do L3&4 and made sure to recheck them too. He also made sure that I was good before allowing the hospital to discharge me. I was so glad he did because it made recuperating at home easier and experienced no problems. His staff were great to in coordinating everything for the surgery. After care is great too as he explains everything to me. Even giving me physical therapy to help me get my strength back. I did choose Southland Physical Therapy in Long Beach because my therapist, Sami had received great feedback for Dr Yuan from his other clients who had surgery with Dr Yuan. I highly recommend Dr Yuan for any back issues.

From the first consultation, Dr. Yuan gave us not only clinical clarity but a sense of calm and genuine compassion that stayed with us throughout the entire process. Dr. Yuan took the time to explain the procedure in terms we could understand, never once rushing us or minimizing our concerns. His confidence was rooted in both skill and humility, which gave us real peace. The surgery itself was a success, and the difference in my husband's quality of life has been nothing short of miraculous. Dull pain that had been constant is now gone. Mobility and strength have been improving faster than expected. But more than the physical healing, we saw how deeply Dr. Yuan cared -- checking in post-op, responding to questions, and treating our family like people, not just a case. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Yuan to anyone in need of spinal care. He is not only an extraordinary surgeon, but also a kind and compassionate human being. Our family will always be grateful for the life-changing care they provided.

I'm writing this because the team at Hand and Wrist Center didn't just treat a condition; they saved my career. As an eye surgeon, my hands are my livelihood. When I developed De Quervain's Tenosynovitis, the pain and loss of dexterity were terrifying. Dr. Nathan and the specialists here understood the high stakes of my profession. They provided a clear, evidence-based treatment plan that was both conservative and effective, allowing me to return to the OR with full confidence. I particularly appreciated their upfront communication regarding pricing. In an era where medical billing is intentionally opaque, their team was refreshingly direct. Because they were out of network for me, I opted for their cash-pay prices, which were very reasonable and clearly communicated from the start. To those reading negative reviews regarding billing: take them with a grain of salt. As a practice owner myself, I see the "behind the scenes" of the insurance industry every day. The system is often designed to be cumbersome, creating hurdles for both patients and providers in the hope that we will simply give up on reimbursements or coverage. It is a systemic issue, not a clinical one. If you are looking for a surgeon-owned, local practice that is both ethical and highly experienced, I cannot recommend them enough. They are a credit to our medical community.
