We stopped in for lunch today at Amanecer, Shipyard Blvd location. We have been here a couple of times now, and the food and service is just amazing. The staff is friendly and the place is very lively. It seems to be a little quieter at lunchtime, no waiting for a table at this time. They also have outside seating. We ordered the birria sandwich, think amped up grilled cheese with very tender meat. It comes with the dipping sauce and a side of ultra crispy French fries. Next up is the enchiladas verdes with steak. This dish comes with refried beans and rice. So, so good. Food is not greasy at all. The verde sauce is delicious and not at all spicy. Really tasty. We always want to try dessert, but we were in the middle of our workday, so we passed this time. Their breakfast here is outstanding, go for something authentic, rather than your typical "American " breakfast items. You won't be disappointed with any choice here. I had to save this location to never forget because it was so emasculate in food, services, and ambiance. The facility is clean, busy, and everyone is so kind. Not only did our waiter check in on us in an appropriate time frame but (Who I believe is the manager) came in to check in as well. Not just us though, EVERY TABLE! The food was amazing, the mimosa flight was just the right amount for an afternoon drink. We had the birria tacos, ACP, and breakfast skillet.10/10 amazing. I love love love this restaurant- every chance I get, this is where I come! So when I had two girlfriends in town, and we wanted brunch, this was the choice! I tried the birria omelette which was phenomenal! It's such a massive portion, everything is delicious and fresh, and the team working is always really nice and patient. We were told the wait was 25 minutes and given a buzzer that would go off when our able was ready. After we ended up waiting 45 minutes I went back to the front desk to ask if our buzzer was not working or something because we had waited much longer than the 25 minutes we were told. She apologized and sat us at one of the many open tables that we're an available. So I'm not sure what that was about. But after we were sat, the service was great, as well as the food. This was so good that we went twice during the same trip! My wife loved the Nopales Con Huevo. The Breakfast Skillet hit the spot, but be sure to add flour tortillas. The following time I had the Sunrise Burrito which was also delicious, but a small step below the Breakfast Skillet. Other things that people ordered that looked great were the pancakes (seasonal Santa and Snowman versions), the Birria Tacos, and the coffee. The decor was good and the service was excellent. The food was delicious and didn't even mind the price for the value except for the 1oz of sour cream and 1oz of salsa to accompany the breakfasts burrito was an additional $5 charge and should have come as an accompaniment on the plate already. That was ridiculous but other than that was a great meal. The place was very crowded and every table full. I did not like that they packed the tables so close and with strollers and wheelchairs at several tables, we were locked in for quite some time and could not get to the restroom. Even the staff could not get back to the corner tables for a long period of time. That was annoying and a hazard for people with mobility issues or if an emergency occurred. read more

The inside area of this place was beautiful and festive with Christmas decor! We arrived about an hour before closing and found something everyone could eat. While the menu is heavily loaded with Mexican dishes, they did offer breakfast items such as eggs and French toast. Our server was okay. I have been here multiple times over the past 2-3 years and every time it's absolutely amazing. The wait is has never been over 15 minutes for me, even in their busiest times (I usually end up there during that time frame.) The service is always impeccable. Servers always check in on you, drinks are always filled, managers are always on the floor and checking in with tables. The place is decorated so nice. I love the ambiance. It's a fun and lively brunch spot, yet you can still hear whoever is talking at your table. They are kid friendly, I often see families there. The food has always been spot on. I think between me and my boyfriend, we've tried every birria option they've had available. It's a 10/10 every time, and I get birria anywhere every chance I get. Their drinks and cocktails are always delicious and their presentation is on point. Everything we've gotten has a very "instagramable" look with the taste to back it up. Mimosas are delicious, as is their sangria. They have good coffee too, and their mugs are adorable. I need to add one to my personal collection soon if they do sell them. Amanecer Cocina has the best birria beef in SE NC, hands down. I ordered the birria melt sandwich and would have eaten a second if I had the capacity. Finished off the birria consommé like a cocktail. This is our second visit here in four days. If I lived closer to this place would breakfast or lunch here 2/3 times a week if not oftener. It was our first time here on a Tuesday morning around 10. We were greeted immediately and sat down. We started with coffee and we like Mexican food so ordering was not hard! Let me say that everything was delicious, flavor was great and good portion as well. I had the Huevos rancheros and the husband had the eggs and steak! He said the meat was full of flavor! Loved the decor and we saw tables outside so when the weather gets warmer you can sit out side. I was a little skeptical. Tried sitting outside but the flies wouldn't allow. Overall, great customer. They were busy so the food took a long time but it was worth it. It arrived from the kitchen full of flavor. It was soo good. The potatoes popped with flavor as they used onions and peppers. The French toast is heaven sent. The dulce de Leche sauce was spectacular. And for the first time ever the mimosas was served in an appropriate glass. I loved it. Cleaning could be a little more thorough I hate seeing hair. As soon as we entered we noticed the lively atmosphere! The wait time wasn't bad for a party of 7 walking in and when we got sat everyone was so kind to us! The food was very delicious it was so creative we loved the pancakes and the nopal plate with chicken as well as the chilaquiles! Such a unique experience my whole family left satisfied! You must try the chili sauce it is a little spicy but packed with flavor! The only downside was my younger sister ordered a pancake and added strawberries, bananas, and whipped cream, and for some reason those toppings were around $2-3 each! They make the most amazing French toast I've ever had in my life. Their cocktails are so good, you cannot taste the alcohol. The balance of flavors in all of their dishes is immaculate. Called ahead to pick up to-go. Birria burrito was great, but outer tortilla could have been crispy. It was neatly wrapped. The consommé was delicious. French fries were crispy. It was enough for 2 meals. They also offer waffles, pancakes, and French toast for breakfast. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. It's nice and clean inside. We are really excited to come back and try other things after having the breakfast burrito and the sunrise burrito. Both had outstanding flavor and were very large proportions. The fries were crispy and delicious too. They have such a diverse menu and there are many things we want to try, including their Mimosa flight!
