You'd never know that this cute cafe was right off Market Street with all the car dealerships and industrial businesses but I'm glad I found it. They are only open weekdays from 7am-3pm. The staff is always friendly and its fairly fast for lunch but a little pricier. I usually get one of their lunch specials and it's always filling. My sandwich, The Greggory, was tasty but wasn't as cheesy as I'd hope with 2 cheeses listed. I really like the fries and my husband's sweet potato chips were a mix of crisp and soft. Just wow! Driving for Lyft these days (so I don't run out of the coinage of the realm before the month is out) I am called upon to pick folks up at different places around the area. The other day I did so at Milner's and thought it looked interesting, so I decided to give it a look today. Really glad I did! The staff is attentive and very friendly, offering suggestions as needed. The coffee is wonderful and, in my opinion, lacks nothing but an appreciation for good coffee. I ordered the Milner's Bowl that had a good combination of grits (properly done I might add), bacon, eggs (however you want them prepared), CHEESE, and your choice of toast (wheat or white). This is a small, tucked away cafe that you wouldn't expect to find in a strip mall. Plenty of parking. We arrived around 8:40am on a Friday and there was still seating available. They are open only on weekdays from Monday to Friday 7am-3pm for breakfast and lunch. You place your order and pay at the cashier. Partner enjoyed the Happy Camper breakfast meal. He requested cheddar cheese to be added to the eggs, which came perfectly melted. I ordered the Croissant French Toast, which was a cinnamon battered croissant stuffed with cream cheese and topped with fresh strawberries and blueberries. You have a choice of either sausage or bacon to come with the French toast. I chose sausage, which were 2 standard sausage patties. The French toast was crispy and buttery delicious. There wasn't that much cream cheese, which maybe could have had more of. I cleaned every morsel on my plate and I was just about satisfied. If you have a huge appetite, you may want to order a side. A few of our favorites are the kickin chicken wrap, the BLT with avocado, their tomato soup (pro tip: get it to go and use it as pasta sauce ), and their cheesesteaks. Their southwest ranch is some of the best ranch I've ever had, and I recommend getting it with most orders. Shocked that there is only one review but glad I can spread the word about this great spot in Wilmington! My fiancé and I were starving in search of brunch leaving Wrightsville Beach en route to Charleston, SC. We are big npr listeners and the local affiliate had a quick advertisement mentioning milner's. It was easily accessible and on our way out of town. They have a few tables outside and a few indoors as well. The tables contain baskets with napkins, hot sauce, jelly, etc for guests. You order at the counter and they bring your food over. The food is fresh and delicious! I am salivating thinking of the sandwich I had. They do catering and special events so locals check them out. We will be back for sure next time we're in the area. We told the ladies at the counter how we heard of them and one said it gave her chills that we had stopped in. What nice people. read more

Milners is just good. Plain and simple. All the way around. The staff is attentive and friendly. The cafe has a nice modern yet relaxed feel to it. For breakfast I would recommend the Grilled Vegetable Bagel and for lunch I'd say Grilled Cheese with a bowl of tomato basil soup is my absolute favorite, however the Southern Club Wrap is a very close second. read more

MILNERS SHRIMP AND GRITS BLOWS THESE PLACES OUT OF THE WATER. Best ive ever had. Seriously, if I were a shrimp I would have no problem getting separated from my mates, dragged up from the salty depths and boiled to death only to know that I got to spend the last few minutes of my existence sitting next to some andouille sausage and soaking in that Milner's goodness. This is a cute little gem hidden on Judges Rd. They have great salads and somehow their fries are cooked to perfection 95% of the time. I have eaten lunch there sometimes twice a week for the last 5 years. The food is solid and consistent which is hard to find.
