We absolutely love this place. Great food, nice ambiance, and amazing kind family owned business.

We love this place. The delicious food, warm ambiance, and family owned attentive service makes for a wonderful experience.

Watery, oily and unspiced "hot" saag paneer.

I've been here years ago and the food was ok. Not great. But good. Saag Paneer is my go to dish although I prefer eggplant because while Saag Paneer is USUALLY good at most places in the area, Baingan Bharta is hit or miss. So, I ordered papadum, saag paneer and - because I love tamarind - Papri Chaat. Which is described on the menu as "seasoned potatoes and vegetables 'with crisp wafers' tossed in yogurt, topped with tamarind sauce". The papri chaat was primarily "crisp wafers" with little potatoes and the only vegetable was a few random chickpeas. Little tamarind sauce, which was packaged separately in a small container that spilled in the bag. The papadum I ordered had no accompanying sauces (usually it comes with a tamarind, a chutney, and a cilantro chutney) and I received only a single severally crushed piece of papadum. Attached is a picture of what I paid $3 for. As I mentioned, I ordered the saag paneer "hot". Not only was it extremely watery, it also tasted oily with no discernable spice. Trader Joe's has better Indian, I have palak paneer from Trader Joe's that I'll try to mix in with Aman's saag paneer to make it palatable. I hate to waste food, otherwise it would go straight into the compost. Go to Tiffin if you want to go to a restaurant and are in the mood for Indian food.

My girlfriend and I came here for a quick lunch and it was surprisingly empty, especially for being during lunch time. The empty space and the lack of ambiance left us a little hesitant since this was our first time coming here... to be honest, we even thought about leaving. We decided to order anyways, just to see if we would even bother coming back or just crossing this place off our "places to eat". I swear as soon as our food came out, everyone in the immediate area came in for pick up orders. This was a good sign for us, and left us a little more hopeful as we went to take our first bites... Let me tell you, this food was absolutely delicious. It was full of flavor and cooked perfectly. It was a little pricey for the amount of food you receive, but it was still worth it. This place fits the "don't judge a book by its cover" slogan. With a little decorating, and maybe some background music to cover up the dead silence, I would give this a half star on top of this 4.

Half Kheer and half mango pudding topped with gulab jamun. The gulab jamun is too sweet on its own.

Post COVID - They have started to serve buffet again on Friday and Sat for lunch. Call before going as they were going to test the demand for it.

The food here is so good. My favorite is the paneer tikki masala. Also the rice pudding and the deep fried milk puffs.. delicious.

This is our go0to Indian take out spot. We've always had a great experience here. The dining room looks nice, but I've never eaten in.

Authentic Indian food - nothing frozen and made from scratch. The owner takes great pride with using fresh ingredients.

I wish the everyday buffet was still a thing, but you can still get it on certain days. Indian buffets are disappearing everywhere!

Decent Indian food, relatively slow wait. I live close by in the area and will probably order from them again.

This was our first time at Persis and the service and food was great. I ordered my dish medium…read morespice but felt it could be spicer, so next time I will ask for the next level. We started with vegetable samosas and our entrees were Tikka Masala and Palak paneer. Their garlic Naan is a must try! We will return again.

I went to this place for lunch last Friday with a friend. I had been in the mood for Shrimp Korma…read more However, the only Korma on the menu was chicken. I asked if I could have a different protein and was told there were no substitutions. I ordered the Chicken Korma. The good news is that it was delicious! The bad news is that it was $18.99. The bill came to a little over $20 with tax. When you add a 20% tip my lunch was $24.15. All I had was Chicken Korma and a glass of water. Also, aside from the glass of water there was nothing else offered. My personal opinion is if they want to build their lunch business they need a smaller & lower priced lunch menu - maybe offer a lunch special of 10 main courses to choose from, a bowl of rice, a basket of papad with a trio of condiments, and a drink (maybe some masala tea or a soft drink), or a buffet. If you would like to go for lunch with a friend I suggest you split a main course and order samosas, (2 for $6.99), which my friend said were very good or maybe the garlic naan for $4.99. That will get you a nice lunch for $16.36 or $15.10, each, which includes a 20% tip. Restaurants need to realize a few things. - Baby Boomers like going out to lunch. - Many of us have cataracts and can't see well at night. - We don't eat as much as we did when we were young. -Many of us live on fixed incomes. - Given the choice of going out more often and spending less, (having no leftovers), or taking home half an expensive meal to eat for dinner and going out less often, I think many of us would choose the former. Conclusion: The food is fantastic. The ambiance is okay. The service is okay - it is not typical friendly Indian hospitality. Accessibility: My friend is handicapped, and, although I looked, I did not see a ramp or a handicap space nearby. The curbs are high and the prices seem a bit high as well. Would I go back? I would but I'd employ the tactics I suggested above: Go with friends, order half as many entrees as people, and get a selection of appetizers, naan, and desserts. This will give you plenty of food and a more enjoyable, affordable, and lengthier dining experience.
