If you have a sweet tooth this is the place to visit! They have a variety of homemade pastries, cookies, cakes & pies. From cakes by the slice, pies and custom cakes you don't want to miss trying at least one of everything. They have a great variety of coffee options as well so you can sit down and treat yourself with a sweet treat. The staff is very helpful in helping you decide which cookie to choose from.

Been here a few times for biscotti, cakes and cookies. It's expensive but it's a real bakery which is hard to find in Jax. They have tables where you can sit and eat your sweets and drink coffee. every time I have been here we always get it to go. This time was no exception we had eaten dinner in the Mexican restaurant next-door and wanted a little sweet for dessert. My husband got two big oatmeal raisin cookies. I could not resist the white chocolate bread pudding, which came with a side of white chocolate to drizzle on top. We took the desserts home. I heated up the bread pudding in the microwave for about 25 seconds. it was absolutely delicious. It was so rich. I could only eat half definitely big enough to share.

This is my favorite food place in Jax. Yes, I'm definitely addicted to sugar. This is a wonderful, cute & clean bakery. Always a great selection and you can even eat in as they have tables available. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. Service is great, but at times they get really busy and you may have to wait in line a few minutes. This visit we brought home chocolate chewy cookies, pumpkin squares, lemon squares and to die for tiramisu. It's a must try if you like fabulous cakes, pies, cookies, and much more.

This is my go to bakery when visiting the area.The cookies $20/lb are always fresh, the pastries, melting your mouth, such as the danish and apple pie is piled high with apples, several inches thick. The cannoli are filled to order which is a nice touch.

I love this bakery! I love the nostalgic appliances that they have when you walk into the left at the coffee bar. The old mixer provides the era of homemade goods! The wide variety of choices even late at night were impressive. My friend and I got multiple things to try and for her to take home (yes, she took it all home, not me). The cheesecake was decadent, the almond danish was phenomenal, the chocolate cake was rich more than Richie Rich himself and the Keylime was just hard enough to be enjoyable.

Omg Amaretti's pumpkin cupcake is insanely good! The perfect frosting to cake ratio (translation lots of frosting!) The cream cheese frosting is just heavenly, and the cake is moist and flavorful without being too spicy. My husband was also blown away by the peanut butter chocolate pie. Once again birthday treats are 10/10!

Amaretti Desserts is a great place for your dessert needs. We stopped by late on a Sunday, items were a bit picked over (with good reason), and the crew was friendly and eager to wait on us. The inside of the shop is clean with marble and red accents. Casual but classy. I had the Kentucky Derby Pie which was amazing. Great chocolate accents, amazing whipped cream and the inside had the consistency of a thick pecan pie, but walnuts were used instead. Really great pie. My wife ordered a brownie that good, but just a bit dry. Very good desserts here and excellent prices. Amaretti provides great quality at a price point far lower than comparable dessert shops in the area. We'll be back to try more. I recommend you give them a try.

Just recently had two delightful treats at Amaretti's! We got a chocolate peanut butter which was large, fresh, and had generous amounts of both chocolate and peanut butter chunks! The flavor was also great! We also got a blueberry muffin which was bursting with sugary and blueberry flavor, and I'm pretty sure everyone will like that one. While we only stopped in for those two bakery items, supposedly the cakes and coffee are awesome, so will have to go back and try them soon!

I was eating next door and had to stop in and check out the desserts and pastries. I had tasted a few cakes from Amaretti's so I knew whatever I ordered would be fabulous. It took me a little while to narrow down my options which I did while waiting in line. I ordered a piece of tiramisu and a chocolate croissant. Honestly I wanted many more items but I had to pace myself lol. The tiramisu was rich, creamy and deliscious! I ate it over the course of three days. I'm so glad I savored it and made it last. I would order this again and again and again! The chocolate croissant was moist and the dark chocolate was plentiful. If you haven't tried Amaretti's, get out from under that bush and run to the store!

The desserts are absolutely delicious--especially the PB cookies, which are amazing! The lemon ricotta is one of my all-time favorites, and the cake sampler is a great idea. It gives you the chance to try different cakes and icings in one go--perfect for indecisive dessert lovers like me. I also picked up a mixed box of cookies sold by the pound (my favorite thing to do!). Honestly, it's probably a good thing they're not too close to my house, or I'd be there way too often. They also serve drinks and coffee, and it's a great place to sit down for a chat. The staff is friendly, and the inside is super nice and cozy. Definitely worth a visit!

Have been coming here for awhile, love this place! I have had the red velvet cake (my fave), the all chocolate cake, and the cookies and cream cake...SO GOOD!!! I've had the chocolate dipped cookies and the chocolate chip cookies...YUMMY! I haven't tried their beverages but I'm sure they are great. Reasonable prices and wonderful staff. read more

Their baked goods are great. Their customer service is awful! I have given them many chances and even spoke with management, but they do not care. Here are my last 3 instances.: 1) came in once and asked to put 2 brownies on hold until after my meal at a nearby restaurant was done and gave them the time I'd be back. They agreed to hold it until the time I mentioned. Came in at the mentioned time. They said they sold them. 2) came in to buy lots of treats for my employees. Easily $100 was spent. I got nasty attitude from the cashier and she even rolled her eyes on me when I asked to purchase another item. She just had a problem doing her job of packaging the treats. 3) special ordered a small cake. Got the pricing up front for the small sized cake. Came to pick cake up. They said they accidentally made a larger size cake, so I'd have to pay for the larger cake size if I wanted it. They made the mistake and wanted me to pay extra from the amount we agreed upon. Total bait and switch. read more

If you want fresh pastries, you need to come here. Not only does everything look fresh, it holds its own- the cakes, brownies, and everything in between taste fresh. Their coffee isn't watered down like most of the coffee you'd get at a bakery. My personal favorite is the cannoli, they even fill each one up right when you buy it! The service is incredible and kind. If you ever need a day to treat yourself, this is a place to stop. read more

Jonesing for Italian Bakery Cookies for 10+ years is no joke! So imagine my intense pleasure at discovering this incredible bakery. Very large variety, much more than Cinotti's, fresh, buttery deliciousness! We bought a pound of mixed cookies and a brownie. All were incredible and just as I remembered from NY. Froze a bunch and they thawed just as they were bought. Very clean, great service, easy to find location off of Phillips. read more

I lucked out having this place around the corner. This is the pastry shop to end all other pastry shops. You are greeted by a smell that immediately sets the bar high, and amarteii lives up the expectations. I highly recommend the Amarteii cookies they are out of this world. Pricy yes, but 100% worth it. read more

I walk in and I'm immediately drooling over the display case and I ask how long have they been in their location, they tell me for over a year! I immediately get mad at myself for taking my yelp hiatus because this place is such a find! The display cases were filled( of course gaps where noticed where lots of stuff had sold out like their muffins) but it was hard to make decisions. Okay so I like the prices. Very fair and the quality was really good too. We got a slice of carrot cake and my only mistake was just getting one slice! I had to share with 3 other members of my family. The cake had obvious carrot which is awesome and it was so moist! Not dry at all! Size of slice was really good too. We also got two chocolate croissants. They were also very tasty. The croissant itself was crispy on the outside and a flaky inside. We also got a sticky bun which got demolished by brother so I'm going to assume it was good because by the time I asked for a piece it was gone! I also got a cookie that was suggested by the lady at the counter which she described as biting into Christmas and it really did remind me of Christmas! I also got an amaretti cookie which is sold by the pound but the cookie ended up being about $1.25 or so. The cookie has a super crispy outside and soft inside, it was really surprising. Very good flavor. So let's recap: 1 large slice of carrot cake, 2 chocolate croissants, 1 large Christmas flavored cookie, 1 amaretti cookie and a large sticky bun- we paid $21! I was so sure it would be more but I was happy! Def a place to check out! I will def be going back :-) read more

Ever have one of those nights where you need a dessert fix? Head to amarettas. You will enjoy it. I had the peanut butter pie and it was great. Super rich. They have quite a collection of cakes pies cookies muffins. Anything under the sun. I was going to try the red velvet Oreo cheesecake. Got to come back for that. This place is worth the drive. read more

Went here a few weeks ago on a Tuesday...We got the cream puff and it was good but a little hard. Maybe it sat too long? Maybe next time if we get a fresh one it'll be great. The bread pudding was WAY too sweet, and that was without putting the white sauce on it. I love sweets and it was just too much, End up only eating a few bites and threw the rest away. The coconut macaroons flavor was good but very hard, again, I think it's been sitting there for a few days. The middle was nice and chewy but the outside was hard as a rock. We also got a chocolate cake, it was very good but again, it was starting to get dry. Maybe one day I will go back and get the cream puff again but will make sure to ask when it was made... I wonder if what we got was from the weekend... we went on a Tuesday read more

I called this morning asking about a particular cookie and if it was available. Marisa answered the phone and told me they were in the oven and would be ready in 30 minutes. I waited 45 minutes (just to make sure) and when I arrived was told they just went in and they'd be ready in 15 minutes. I wasn't so much the delay but the total lack of customer service and lackadaisical manner of the employees that will drive me to never go back. I was getting these for some of the people I work with to "taste test" as we were planning to order them for our end of year (200+) celebration. I know they are great tasting but pretty sure I can get cookies from a bakery that actually wants my business. Too bad :( read more

Best in Jacksonville! Clean and comfortable this is a must visit for cakes and pastries. Featured on the Food Network was their white chocolate bread pudding which is out of this world! The coffee is brewed locally and pairs nicely with anything you choose to enjoy. Not a bad item on the menu. read more

After dinner me and my friend decided to find a place to get some dessert. We got there at 8:40 p.m, hoping they still have desserts left since they close at 9:00. As soon as we walked in my mouth was watering from all the pies and cookies that were in the shelf. It's hard to find a good bakery place and this place it amazing!! I got the cheese cake, tiramisu, peanut butter pie, red velvet cake, and some other cookies. I literally had to stop myself from trying to get everything. I wasn't sure if it was good, so those were the few that I got. The tiramisu was amazing! It was the last piece or else I would of got more. Love it here! read more

I decided I wanted to splurge for my son's birthday, boy am I glad I did! I got the chocolate cake for a party of 30 and I couldn't believe how much we got. It was the most delicious cake I have ever had. The parents were asking to take some home (which they did!!) And we still had some left over. It was so worth it. I know we're I will be buying my cakes from on. I can't wait to try the pastries. read more

Update! I have been back and it was just as amazing the first time. Also, I asked about trays and goodies for the holidays. So if you are interested they do cookie trays and you can order pies or cakes, she said order at least a week in advance around Thanksgiving and Christmas! read more

I have the worst sweet tooth & this place does it for me every time! Such a wide selection of treats that are very reasonably priced. I love baked goods and have yet to have had something here that I didn't like or that wasn't good, burnt, old etc which tends to happen at other bakeries. Great customer service always :) They have themselves a longtime customer now. read more

I've waited to review as we visit every other week and I honestly thought maybe we would encounter something negative before giving it 5-stars but I just cannot. It's the best dessert we've had since relocating here last year. It's a treat to visit each and every time. From the service to the atmosphere and most of all the variety of options and delicious taste. If you are really lucky they will have their delicious red velvet cake pops but if not everything is wonderful. read more

It was a little bit of a drive away, near the beach, and there was absolutely no parking on a Friday night. My husband dropped me off and circled while I placed a few to go orders. It was a cute little shop with donuts, shakes, and ice cream. The donuts are not traditional donuts; more like deep fried donut holes that are covered with all kinds of yummy toppings. They're also served nice and hot and in 10 packs. They had lots of cool donut flavors like: Dark Delight, Maple Bacon, , White Tella, and Love U Matcha, The prices range from $8.75 to $9.50 per box. They all sounded yummy; but we decided on Twix Fix, drizzled with caramel, melted chocolate, and cookies, and Lotus Crunch, which was topped with melted Biscoff cookies. Our order was ready in about 5 minutes and the bag of donuts was nice and warm. We ate them when we got back home. They were more chewy and heavier than regular donut holes, but rich and delicious. You could really only eat a few; so a box of 10 is a decent sized dessert for 2 people to share. Lukumades is definitely a very unique donut experience and worth supporting because they're not a huge chain. You'll be glad you tried them....and its worth the drive.

My husband ordered the ribeye and his was medium, his was also spot on. Then of course, we had to get dessert. I got the German chocolate cake (this apparently isn't their normal one) and my husband got the dulce cheesecake. The waitress we had was great, and she recommended lots of tips and favorites to try. Man, when you walk into a really good bakery wanting one simple item, and the amazing smells overwhelm you, and you walk out with enough baked goods to cater a small wedding...well, I suppose there are worse problems to have. This little bakery has a friendly staff and a plethora of delicious desserts that make it hard to choose. The missus likes their cookies, especially their ginger molasses ones (yum!), and often also walks out with a freshly filled cannoli. For me? I have a few faves. I love their sticky buns, which are cinnamon rolls topped with gooey caramel and nuts (and they always scoop an extra helping of caramel topping on for you, just in case it wasn't decadent enough). I also love their cream puffs, which are as big as hamburgers, and impossible not to eat messily like a five-year-old. I've also enjoyed their cake creations, especially their Oreo cake, and their key lime pie tarts, which are like a little fresh key lime pie all to yourself. One of our big favorites of late is their coconut cake. Oh man...it's so light, it's like biting into a cloud. The coconut flavor is perfect, the frosting creamy...the missus has actually specifically requested one of these for her birthday. But my favorite item of all is one that's hard to come by...you have to luck into it. They call it the "messy cake". Essentially, when they cut the cake tops off to have flat layers, they take these denser and more baked morsels and pop them onto a tray, then top them with...whatever. My first was rich chocolate cake topped with marshmallow cream and caramel, but you never know what flavors you might find. IF you're lucky enough to find them. They are a whenever-available item, and I haven't had much luck of late. I'm considering bribing the staff and leaving them my phone number so they can tip me off. Seriously, the messy cake is a work of genius, and worth the effort it takes to seek it out. The staff is always super friendly and kind, and cheerful...I wonder if it's possible to be in a bad mood when surrounded by baked good nirvana? A great neighborhood dessert shop with decent coffee. Amaretti, located at the intersection of Philips and old Augustine serves delectable desserts items on house and takes catering order for any occasions no matter how big or small, as they put it. The place is not too big and has a simple inside with nice and sturdy table/chair and free Wi-Fi. Price seems expensive for some of the desserts but once tasted feels like worthy of price. From hot coffee/espresso, iced coffee to flavored lattes, they got it all and that is not even their specialty. The varieties of dessert include but not limited to brownies, cookies, cakes, pies, cannoli, eclair, cream puff, muffins, croissant and many more. The coffee of the day is pretty good too and they usually serve three flavors. I have tried few dessert items like macaroon, cookie and muffin, they were all tasty. I came in the other day wanting a nice dessert from Amarettis, when I had to stop and just walk out. Not only was the food ALL cold & HARD; But the business owners are the most evil, selfish, egotistical, undeserving Humans within the business of baking. We got the chocolate chip walnut cookie, the dark chocolate chip and the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. We also purchased a Valrhona chocolate roll. The chocolate chip walnut cookie BLEW ME AWAY. Fantastic and thick, almost scone-like in appearance. I have had dreams about that thing. This is a fantastic place. Kinda a hidden gem.. but seeing the amount of people comming here it is a well known. They have the best pastries in town. Most of them are made in store. And thier coffee is good too. Highly recommend. read more
