On April 2, 2026, I placed an order for a new garage door with the owner, Alex Caraus, and provided a $500 deposit via Zelle to expedite the order and mitigate potential tariff-related cost increases. Following this, I received no updates regarding the status of the order. I reached out via phone and text on April 13, 23, 28, and May 5 to confirm the order status and expected installation timeline. It took 54 days from my initial deposit for the door to be installed. The installation itself was grueling; a single technician arrived at 12:30 p.m. and did not finish until nearly 10:00 p.m. Upon completion, I immediately paid the remaining $2,300 balance via Zelle as requested. The owner assured me that an invoice would be emailed that evening, yet I received no documentation or receipt. Despite subsequent attempts to contact the owner via phone, text, and email on June 12, 16, and 18, I remained ignored until finally receiving an inaccurate invoice on June 18. The invoice stated Amount due $2700.00, Amount paid $0.00 In the notes on the bottom of the invoice stated, "Paid in Full" "2-year warranty". The original invoice and on their website, it states 3 year parts and labor warranty. The invoice stated $2700.00 due. I paid a $500.00 deposit on April 2nd and $2300.00 on May 26. The total amount I paid as per the technician request $2800.00 uytu I have tried getting a corrected invoice showing I paid in full, and that I have a 3 year parts and labor warranty. Alex has not responded to my calls, texts and emails. Would not recommend this company.

Pat was also more competitive to the 2 other companies we talked to. Job was done in 3 days. We had a bad experience couple of years ago with replacing windows. It's a builders grade glass door, so the lower quality of the door made it more difficult to repair. All of the other companies we obtained bids from said it couldn't be repaired and quoted 2500 to 3000 for a replacement. Peter came over on a Sunday morning and repaired it expertly. Our front window had a broken sash and required a complete replacement. The replacement cost Peter quoted was a reasonable price and he took out the old damaged window and replaced it with a new one, spending time caulking and finishing the job. Peter responded quickly and provided a quote before beginning the job. I highly recommend Pat Builders.
