Small restaurant in Columbia Louisiana that serves Cajun fare. Had the gumbo which is delicious-…read morethe sausage in the gumbo ia savory and smoky - the chicken is flavorful , moist , and tender . The roux is packed with flavor ! The eggplant fries topped with crawfish etouffee -AMAZING! The eggplant are lightly breaded with cornmeal and not greasy at all!!! The crawfish are not hard and chewy like some crawfish are in sauces - they are Perfect!!! The peach cobbler has a biscuit like topping as opposed to a pie crust topping and it is delicate and yummy!! The server was so friendly and sweet and we should have asks her name - she did a GREAT job of pointing out things on menu! We live hours away but we will be returning!! You will not leave hungry!!! Ten stars yummy!!

I was so excited to finally be in Louisiana and try some authentic Cajun food, and this place did…read morenot disappoint! I ordered the gumbo and alligator, and both were absolutely delicious. They didn't have cornbread (a little disappointing), but the hush puppies made a great substitute and soaked everything up perfectly. I also tried the boudin balls, which were flavorful and tasty, though I felt they leaned a little too heavy on the rice and could've used more meat. Still, very enjoyable overall. The staff was friendly and kind. Service was straightforward--no extra chatter or banter, which I do think is something missing from today's dining experience, especially with younger staff. If you leave here hungry, that's on you! I'd definitely come back the next time we're on this side of town.

Moi Birthday dinner two years in a row now…read more Moi absolutely favorite restaurant. The food is so Amazeballs. I dreamt of the Pork Chop we had last year, for the whole year, till I could get back here again & have it again for me Birthday.. and again, it was so freakin Amazeballs. Everything was cooked perfectly. Nailed both pork chops. The Lafitte sauce is so delicious, just get it on everything, that's my advice haha :)... The tuna tartare was also so Amazeballs we had to order one to go. We also ordered the Fettuccine with the Lafitte sauce with chicken to go, ohmygosh hubby & I fought over that next day at brunch! :).. The cheesy grits are a must order. Not your average grits. The grind is a much heartier grind. The quality & texture is superb. And topped with their "Lafitte sauce" AKA crawfish cream sauce ohmygosh. Heavenly :)... Reservations are a must. Beautiful vintage space. Bar area is very nice. Service is great. Southern hospitality at its finest. Very Romantic restaurant. The Casablanca Booth at NOLA, is moi booth. "Play it again Sam" forever & ever. "la Vie en Rose" OuiOui. Highest Recommendations.

The atmosphere is nice, a little more casual than I would expect based on their menu, but not bad…read more All of the servers were very friendly. Not quite as knowledgeable about the menu as we would like but that's not a dealbreaker. Mike had the Saint Charles shrimp. It was incredible. Those grit cakes were the best I've ever had. The Lafitte sauce is so good. I had the Lafitte pasta with blackened and shrimp. I highly recommend the blackened shrimp. They were top-notch. The fettuccine was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce has a nice smoky flavor. The house fries were tasty, but could've been a bit hotter. The rolls were nice and warm and served with real butter. Real butter is always a bonus. The homemade ranch with a side salad was really good. I noticed a couple of people mentioned the prices on the menu. This is quality, fresh seafood, it's worth paying a little extra for. Sadly, the server brought the check with without asking if we wanted dessert. I had debated on the King cake bread pudding, but she settled that for me. We would definitely go and do recommend Nola Sidenote, when we walked in the door, we were greeted by a beautiful young lady, with very bright pink hair. She was so friendly and polite, we were a bit disappointed that we did not get her as our server.
