Scheduling an appointment with Amazing nails is super easy! They pick up the phone and confirm very quickly. Make sure to request your nail tech though because sometimes it's a hit or miss depending on who is doing your nails. The first time visiting (back in August), there was a little bit of miscommunication between the front desk and I about what service I requested when I went in during the week. It was a little hard to communicate, and I felt a little rushed to make a decision about my nail color. However, they have multiple comprehensive books with examples to help visualize gel or dip options. I was ambivalent about the quality of my nails this experience because of the price and kindness of my nail tech were relatively positive. In October, my sister and I had a great experience! The vibe inside is very serene and inviting. The decorations are cute, the options for gel and acrylics were laid out well, and the chairs and stations are very sanitary. Le (my nail tech) was very meticulous and careful with my nails. I let her know it was my first time getting acrylics for my birthday (but I had gotten many manicures before) and she made sure to check in with me about whether or not I liked them before moving onto next steps. She was also a great conversationalist with a great heart! My sister's nail tech in October was also super nice and accommodating as well. Her design was a little more intricate and was executed nicely. In December, both my sister and I's experience was not one I would recommend. Granted, it was a little busier; however, I called and made an appointment a week in advance. We both came in with Christmas inspiration pictures with simpler designs and specifics, which were not executed well. I asked for a more matte red with a silver ring finger nail (like the picture) with a square shape and was once again rushed to sit in a chair instead of being able to look for the color I wanted. I asked for help and the nail tech brought me a couple of options. She showed me a few that weren't close to what I was looking for, but, honestly, most of the polishes on display looked old and sticky, so I picked a red that wasn't really what I wanted. I also asked for a sparkly silver (and showed her the picture) and she initially brought out a silver with gold iridescent sparkles instead of silver iridescent sparkles (and was clumpy). I asked if there was another option and she showed me one that had silver chunky sparkles, which I liked (but didn't realize was just a top coat since she didn't show me on my nails). The manicure itself was okay, she did a clean job with my cuticles and buffed my nails. However, she filed my nails unevenly and the water to soak my nails in was very cold. My sister also had a similar experience where her nail tech didn't execute the color or shape well on her acrylics. She got nail glue on the side of her nails and her acrylics were crooked as well. Overall, I wouldn't recommend coming here on a Saturday or over the weekend when the place is busier, but I would recommend going during the week and with a nail tech with good reviews. The prices here are relatively reasonable and the environment is very sanitary and clean. read more

Got my nails done at amazing nails - this is the second time I've gotten my nails done here but I was not really pleased with the service that I was provided. The first time I came, my nails ended up looking amazing. Made a reservation for my sister and I on Friday during the day. while I got seated immediately, my sister had to wait 20-30 min before getting her nails done. The lady rushed into doing my nails, and my nails look super uneven in terms of shape. I asked for a round shape and some shapes are different from others. The nail polish wasn't even properly on my fingers, some of the gel polish is outside the actual fingernail. I felt weird not tipping so I tipped (always gotta tip service) but it was definitely NOT worth the $35-40. Don't think I will be going again read more

Update made on 11/21 after owner's response - It is amazing to see how far the owners are willing to stretch this. My daughter was not playing for an extended period - perhaps just a couple of minutes in choosing her colors & counting the nail paint bottles - while waiting for her turn. What was most concerning was the fact that the owner felt it necessary to involve another customer for a rebuttal, who had no reason to engage or intimidate my daughter. This incident raises questions about how situations are handled on the premises. Additionally, it's difficult to overlook the other negative reviews listed below. What I got : regular pedicure Atmosphere : typical no frills nail salons. Ladies here are efficient and clean! The quality : My pedicure was good, no complaints. However, We had a bride-to-be with us, and BIG shout out to the ladies who worked on her nails! They stayed 30 minutes past closing to make sure her nails were in tip top shape, and her nails were fabulous -- she got a chrome shade which required a little extra work, and they took their time to make sure it was perfect. I decided to come here on my lunch break because it is so close to my house and I wanted to make sure my nails looked good for a big company meeting. The salon had great reviews and also was apparently reasonably priced so I was happy to try it out. I had dip powder from a visit to another nail salon a couple weeks prior and I loved it so I wanted to do it again. I just asked for them to switch the polish but ended up paying tor a full manicure. I don't know if that is standard practice or just because the dip powder takes longer to remove and apply. Ultimately I had 3 different nail techs work on my nails over the course of nearly 2 hours. When the first finished she sat me down under the drier. Another employee (maybe the manager? She did not introduce herself) came and looked at my nails and said they were not smooth and she buffed off the top layer and reapplied the colored dip powder. Then a 3rd tech named Jessica who was also the receptionist came over and did the top coat. I really had to go and she helped me pay, then opened not just the salon door but also my car door and told me not to touch anything. It was so sweet that she helped me just so I wouldn't mess up my nails. I've definitely never had anyone go above and beyond like that. It was not busy so I'm not sure why they switched working on my nails. It was not cheap but they did want to make sure my nails were right before I left and I do appreciate that. I just felt bad because I only had cash to tip for one tech. My nails do look good and I'm happy with them. I will come back here but not try to squeeze it in during my lunch break. One other note: a young woman came in unmasked eating frozen yogurt. Jessica asked how she could help her and the person said, in between bites, "Eyebrows and lips." No hello or please or anything else. I know she would need to take a mask off for lip waxing, but not at any other time including walking through the store. There is a large, easy to read sign on the front door at sight level (and no other signs around it) that says Masks Required. All of the staff and other patrons were masked. I'm sick of wearing masks too but if a business asks it of you there is no reason to be rude. Small businesses need healthy employees to survive and she exposed the employees who need their jobs just because she didn't want to follow the rule. None of the staff said anything to the customer, but I just thought it was so rude of her I had to mention it. For now, this business is still requiring masks. read more

Had a truly great experience here today! They went above and beyond. Melissa was extremely attentive. My daughter was disappointed that there wasn't a scrub during the pedicure. It was our first time there so we didn't know you had to tell them in advance. Even though she had drained the water she ended up doing the scrub for her. Then during the pedicure my daughter got a bloody nose. She and another tech ran around making sure she had tissues and vaseline. I've been going to see Miley at Amazing Nails for a while now. I used to have really short nails that always broke. When I first started going to see her, I told her my goals and she recommended I start with gel manicures to help grow out the short natural nails, and then when they got long enough, we switched to dip powder. These are my natural nails, not acrylics. I always receive compliments on my nails, but these ones were custom designed by Miley for a work conference I attended. She did an amazing job. When I was getting these done, she was also doing a small shamrock for someone else for St. Patrick's Day. She's very talented and super nice too. Not happy with either the service or the result. The lady made me switch chairs after my pedicure already started (feet in the water) because someone else came in who wanted to sit together. The chair she guided me to didn't have proper back support, so she had to bring out a pillow. In addition to that, I had to ask for a dirty towel from the previous client to be changed. Came here first time two days ago for an acrylic gel fill ($36). Cute salon, nice area, well staffed so not too many people waiting. I was happy with my fill until 2 days later (today) one of my nails popped right off. Didn't even do anything to it. I came back for a fix and wasn't expecting to want to return but the owner. The lady was misleading when talking about the prices of the nails at their salon. She told me that a fill in would be $25 and after they took of some of my nails, they then tell me that it's going to be an extra $5 for a different shape, and an extra $5 for them to be "long". Since she told me that after they had already started doing my nails, I could not leave without paying. I was forced to just pay $10 to get those nails simply removed. So I don't usually go to this location and when I do, they are usually okay. I went today since it was close by to my son's tutoring class and boy, do I regret it. The girl who did my nails was terrible. I think she is still in HS and works for her mom or relative there? I am not sure but she was really young and I wonder now if she is still in training. I asked to do a gel manicure today and she was filing my nails and filed into my skin. Then when she proceeded to trim my cuticles, on the first pinky finger she trimmed a chunk of my cuticle off that bled for at least ten mins. She put a cotton ball over it and put pressure on it, it still kept bleeding. Then she put some blue drops on it to stop the bleeding, that worked until I went to wash my hands and it started to bleed again. I finally said I don't want to do gel anymore, put a band aid on my pinky finger and told her to do just regular nail polish because I don't want her touching my pinky finger. The mgr and someone else that works there kept asking if I was ok and made an effort to fix it, which was to put more blue drops or neosporin which I appreciated but at that point it's already in a band aid and didn't want anyone to mess with it. They apologized profusely as well as the girl doing my nails but then things just went more down hill as she tried to trim my other cuticles and she almost cut me like two more times. After she was done painting my nails I went to the drying machine and I was there for 10-15 mins. She said my nails should be dry by now but as she was putting on lotion on my hands the nails got all messed up because it wasn't completely dry. Needless to say it was a lost cause, horrible experience and never coming back here. I get my nails done all the time and yes, people cut me by accident but never this deep and bad. I'd been here a few times & it was okay for when I was in a fix & couldn't go to my regular place but then I stopped going when they let this girl in training do my eyebrows and she burned the crap out of me with the hot wax. I had burn blisters on my eyebrows and if that wasn't bad enough instead of just cleaning them up like I asked they were too thin. Also the nail techs aren't all up to the latest nail trends & shapes so to get someone who was you had to be sure they were there when you went otherwise you'd be stuck with the basic stuff. I've gone since I was in High School, taken my daughter there for her 1st mani & pedis & many times after over the years. I started going less and less because of issues that I had. Example I had been burnt by you guys before when getting my brows waxed but not as badly. After that I only went with you guys to get my nails done when in a pinch because I had to find another place where I can get my nails & waxing done. However, coming to your store was kinda discouraging when I had to explain the nail techs the difference between coffin shaped & almond shaped nails & how to do it. One time a poor lady tried to file my full set nails down to that shape & I had to correct her & tell her to clip them down to that shape first & then file them. The last day I went to your store I had an event I needed to go to & I decided to visit you guys since your by my house & some time had passed since I had been burnt. The tech who did my nails was a young muscular Asian man who was good with modern looking nails. I had seen him a few times & liked his work & that he knew what he was doing. The day the issue occurred his girlfriend was there and she was watching & listening to his explanations as he did my nails, which I didn't mind. The nails turned out nice but when it came time to do my brows he took her back in the room with us and let her do them. I was never asked if it was okay or anything. The wax was so hot & she saw my face as soon it touched my skin. I had burn blisters for a week & 1/2 & couldn't do my brows for over a month after just so I could let my skin heal. That was literally the most traumatizing experience I ever had at any nail salon & I have not been back to your location since. I will say that not all of my experiences with you guys have been negative. Your staff has always been polite, friendly, helpful & professional over the years which I've always liked. I do have a problem with having my nail technician playing receptionist at the same time. How about calling this place Amazing Pain? Not the absolute worst I've been to (see another review of mine for that). Looks clean, which is a plus, and in fact the only bonus. The lady who did my nails was more interested in watching the Olympics on their tv than doing my pedicure. First ouch: She was buffing/exfoliating/sanding down my foot calluses and kept on turning around to watch the Olympics. I had to jerk my foot away from her a few times because she wasn't paying attention and starting to rub hard with the stone on my uncalloused back heel area. She turned around to look and said 'you have big callous, that's why I have to go hard'. I responded that she was going past the callous area to the sensitive skin area! She started back up again and turned around the watch the Olympics again. This time she went back to the sore sensitive area and I had to yell 'ouch!' and pull my entire foot out of her hands. I pointed out to her the area she rubbed raw and she ignored me. Second ouch: salt rub on legs was rubbed in way too hard (again, she was watching the Olympics and not paying attention). Third ouch: to rinse off the salt solution on my legs, I dipped my foot in the new water and pulled it out immediately. I told her is was WAY too hot. She dipped her gloved hand in and said I was too sensitive to the heat. She proceeded to pull my foot back into the water and I told her I wouldn't unless she added cold water. I like to take really hot showers (my hubby complains of the heat sometimes) so I like my water hot, but it felt like she just turned on the hot water to fill the tub and forgot to add any cold. Fourth ouch: hot towels were lava hot. She put them on without letting them cool down a bit first. Fifth ouch: oil rub/massage on legs and feet. I told the lady in advance I had lost partial feeling in my right leg and foot and have limited feeling, but a massage in that area does NOT feel good because of nerve damage. She ignore my repeated requests to stay away from the area. At one point I said 'no more massage, please stop'. She smiled at me and went back to watching the Olympics on tv and making comments. I asked her again 'please stop, I don't want anymore of this'. I asked a third time and she wouldn't stop. I then found out from another customer that their policy is the massage must last 15 minutes or the pedicure is free, that's why she wouldn't stop. End result: after the polish was on and I sat and dried a bit, I reluctantly paid and left. After getting in the car, I noticed my polish was poorly done. I didn't want to go back in, so I left it. Next day look: my heel is raw and red. I cannot wear shoes with a back, it hurts that bad. Parts of it are starting to scab over. When arrived the nail tech that I had was an older man, who did not seem to speak English very well. He started buffing my nails with with the dremel tool, which I now know is definitely not neccessary, it takes too much from your natural nail. He applied the acrylic tips, then applied started applying the gel and had me put my hands under the UV light. Oh the burning!! I found out after the fact that the gel definitely should NOT burn like that, if it burns and its painful that means that the UV gel was put on too thick, and that creates hot spots. If it is put on too thick it will not cure properly. Which is what happened to me. When he was finally finished the gel was on my nails so thick they looked completely unnatural, like big heavy talons. Totally awful looking, I asked him to file them down, which he did. He then airbrushed the french manicure on the tips, applied the final coat of gel, and my nails were done. They initially looked pretty decent, as I said this was my first time getting them so I was really uneasy about the way they felt. The next day I was leaving on my trip, I was taking a shower before I left for the airport, and when I stepped out I notice that the gel on one of my nails had started chipping off. The top layer of gel started chipping and it took the airbrushed french paint with it. I called the salon, they fit me in to fix it. This time I got a woman, she filed the gel down, reapplied the paint and another layer of gel and I was on my way. The next day as I was starting my vacation up in Northern NY, the same thing happened again to another nail! They should NOT chip like that. I finally said enough and went to another nail salon and had them removed, they had to be filed and peeled off, and my poor natural nails were ruined.
