I am so disappointed! I loved the way Jenny did my nails. Today I called for an appointment and was sent a text confirmation for my 4PM appointment. At 1 PM I received a call saying I missed my appt, accusing me of calling to see if I could get an earlier appt, and telling me I had missed the earlier appt. Bizarre! Visited here to get acrylics with gel nails today. I had an inspiration picture I found on Instagram and wanted to do the same design with different colors instead. The nail artist that worked on my manicure was very careful and intricate with her work. She always made sure to stop and ask me if I liked my nails which I really appreciated. She spent a total of an hour and a half on me which is the most time I've ever had a manicure being done for. She even put 3 layers of gel polish and 2 layers of dip to make my nails extra strong. The only issue ended up being that the shape I asked for in the original inspiration picture was not the shape I received. It was also my fault because I hadn't realized until the end that it wasn't the shape I wanted, so I did go home and file it to the shape I wanted them to be. The design I asked for also could've been more perfected as it wasn't very symmetrical on both hands, but since it was an abstract design anyway I didn't mind too much. Overall I was satisfied with my manicure and very pleased with the service of all the kind ladies working here. read more

I have been going to this salon for about 2 years. I have always had a good experience with my nail technicians. The reason for the 2 star review is because of my most recent visit. I didn't post this review right after because I wanted to reflect on my experience before giving them a bad rating and I believe what happened deserves to be noted so here I am. When I first started coming here, they had a sweet older dog who would walk around. Unfortunately, the dog passed from what I was told. At my recent visit, I noticed a new cute little black puppy. He was hyper which is expected of pits and it did not bother me. After my pedicure, I walked over to the manicurist's station for my gel manicure. My tech was cleaning the pedicure station. As I sat down at her station, the puppy came over and started playing. His playing started getting aggressive as he started to bite my ankles and tug on my clothes and scratch my feet. When I noticed this, I started saying excuse me to the owner of the dog, another technician, whose back was to me because she was doing someone's nail. I REPEATEDLY said excuse me to get her attention so she could call the dog because he started bitting me pretty hard to the point i started BLEEDING! I must have said it ATLEAST 5 times. This rude technician did not even turn around. She shrugged her shoulders and said "sorry" WITHOUT EVEN TURNING AROUND! This infuriated me! ATLEAST TURN ARoUND! It wasn't until my technician came to the front and helped take the dog off of me. She started apologizing and fixed my pedicure. The dog stepped over it. She then put a bandage on my bleeding and continued to apologize. She was super sweet and could see the disappointment on my face. Okay, so here my problem, he was a puppy clearly not fully trained yet so I can't be upset at him. But his owner the technician needs manners! Don't ignore people! You have an untrained puppy at your business, pay some attention that he's not attacking customers. As I was cashing out, my tech told the other tech that I was bleeding and she gave me a low effort apology. I won't be returning to this salon. Hope the rude technician learns manners. Go at your own risk you might get attacked by a dog and the owner won't even care to turn around. read more

I found them on here, after looking for a place near where I was heading with good reviews - Hollywood Nails was recommended and I'm delighted it was! I had the most pleasant experience at Hollywood today! This was my first time visiting. I previously was a client at a neighboring salon but it since closed and I needed to find another that I could get into relatively quickly for a mani/pedi. Google maps located Hollywood within 10 minutes from my house and I decided to go there. It was easy to make an appointment for the same day online. Upon entering the salon, I was quickly greeted by Tienie, who happened to be my tech. Fortunately, the owner was onsite and I was able to talk with her - very personable and an overall interesting person to talk to. I mentioned to Tienie the colors that I wanted for my hands and feet and she picked out fabulous colors on the first try! The service was great (no machines used) and the massage chair was awesome! The shop itself is very clean and the tools used to do your nails come in individual packs - and Hollywood even gives the file and buffer to you in the bag it came in upon leaving *awesome*. Tienie did an AMAZING job and even did a heart design on my nails that is adorable! I wasn't expecting to have such a great experience - all staff that I encountered were awesome; the work done was great; the store is very clean and I felt safe; and I felt very valued as a client. They offer a lot of discounts (senior, 5% off if paying in cash, etc.) and this adds to the value. I am definitely a fan and plan to see Tienie for my regular nail service. read more

I always get designed acrylics with Tingie and she has never let me down! No matter what design or inspiration I show her she always executes them well. She's even suggested and done designs without an inspiration picture to go by when I run out of ideas. I have small nail beds so she always takes the extra time and steps to make sure they'll last long for me (I go about every 3ish weeks). The full set gel with designs are also reasonably priced. I cheated. After seven years of being faithful to my nail tech, Tammy, I cheated. All I can hope for at this point is a second chance, but I must admit the experience was oh so worth it! For starters, I called Hollywood Nails 30 minutes after closing for an immediate appointment. With a smile, the receptionist said they would wait for me until I arrived. I was so excited that I sped up driving and didn't stop at any stop signs until I was there! Seriously. I was so eager for a pedicure that I just hopped in the chair and forgot to pick out a nail polish color. The nail tech calmed me down by saying they were not in a rush and I could take my time. At this point, they already had 5 stars from me so I was flattered. I was offered magazines and when I politely declined, she just turned on the chair massager and did her magic...in silence. If you come here, go to ANNIE. I drove a good amount to Hollywood Nails only because ANNIE moved here. I've gotten a handful of acrylic sets from her, asking her to do difficult designs or colors on each one and I always leave so happy. She takes the time to make sure they look nice but what I LOVE about her is that she really has an artistic sense. When I mention any corrections, she understands what I mean and always makes my nails look so pretty despite me bothering her to try something new each time Lol. I can trust her opinion and know that she understands what looks good and that she'll work with me to get the end result we want. For a college student who always wants to try something new and different, I'm so happy I found her. She's really sweet and clean as well. I never have to worry about leaving with crooked or messed up nails when I go to Annie and my nails will stay on for WEEKS. Did a good job on my dry cracked heels but was too aggressive and went below my skin to make about 1 1/4" raw sore on the outside of my heel. Went and showed her the next day and with no apology said I must have thin skin. I am older and imagine most elderly people have thin skin. Told me to put coconut oil on the area. Like so many others sharing their reviews, I also live near Cosmo Salon and have been going here religiously for more than 8 months. More often than not I consistently experienced: - extreme wait times (they are always "understaffed" and they don't mind telling you) - rude service (being shuffled from tech to tech, and told to 'go sit down' is not the sort of instructions I want to pay for) - yep, there's a dog there and although this one is a cute small fancy little thing, he is all over the place and quite distracting - the place is SMALL so he nearly gets stepped on all the time just walking down the NARROW aisle) But most importantly... - my nails chip or crack before the estimated 2-3 weeks for SNS. I come back so often Yoyo (one of the owner/techs) just rolls her eyes (yes, rolls). IN FACT my last time there I sat next to a woman who also got a pedi and SNS mani. NO kidding, 5 days later when I popped back in to get my nail fixed SHE WAS THERE TOO! We both chuckled at how annoying it was to come back. Anyway, yes the location is convenient and so are the late hours. But the rude service, small over-crowded space and total lack of quality control makes it a no-more for me. read more
