    I used Mr. Rooter back in September 2025 because of a magnet advertisement I was sent in the mail a…read morelong time ago. I had it on my fridge. Bad mistake. The President claimed, "IF MY MISTERS CAN'T OPEN YOUR CLOGGED DRAIN ... YOU DON'T PAY!!" I found this to be untrue. I purchased a home in which the bathroom sink was clogged. I called them and a young Mr. Rooter plumber came out. He tried to snake the drain with commercial equipment and was unable to. He called a more experienced member of the company. They eventually left my home and I was without a bathroom sink for a couple weeks until I had Raymond Plumbing out. Raymond Plumbing was able to snake it with a 15' consumer snake that can be purchased at Home Depot. On the day that two Mr. Rooter plumbers came out, they wanted to charge me $716 (supposed discounted rate) for examining my bathroom sink drain. They used a camera and supposedly attempted to use a jet. I was told by the experienced plumber before he left that the cost to get the drain working again would be $1,400. But, only if I authorized the work on that very day. He said they would need to break into the wall and it would cost more if they had to come back out. I would not authorize that work. The experienced plumber left and the young, primary plumber stayed behind to collect money. Prior to the lower prices mentioned above, the experienced plumber wanted me to pay 11-12k to fix the main drainage. He said that rocks in the pipe were a big problem. Not exactly sure what all they intended to do. They were in my back yard talking among themselves before hitting me with the 11-12k fix that put me in shock. He told me they offered financing. I was against that because the drain problem was only with 1 sink. As many would, I started to distrust this experienced plumber and didn't believe anything more he was saying. He left my home and the primary plumber ended up only charging $500 and I wrote a check even though the drain was not working. I cancelled the check and Mr. Rooter sent my account to collections. We settled on something less than $500 via collections. Mr. Rooter - never again. That advertisement was false.

    Sal was extremely professional in sending out their repair person. However, the person who came…read morewas very unfriendly. When I asked him to wear a mask, he refused. When I asked him to check if there was a leak of gas from my furnace, he said everything is in good working condition and there are multiple safety measures to prevent any leak. But when I asked how to be sure there is no leak, he said that is a second step to measure with a meter and it will cost another $89. In any event, I didn't find him to be friendly and helpful to rule out my initial complaint. I did not opt for the second step. No second step for diagnosis was informed by Sal earlier. That said, I guess I must give the business a 5-star rating based on the professional scheduling and followup of the appointment. "One swallow doesn't make a summer' or "one bad day" is not a true reflection of the company. I am changing my rating at Sal's text request personally. It's only changed because I can understand Sal's concern as a businessman. He offered me free service in return but I declined it again. He got me wrong completely. My changed rating is only for the professionalism shown by the reception desk and their follow-up. It is not for the changed picture Ron gave that I asked if Ron wanted me to wear a mask. Who would ask that in one's own house? I was wearing my mask thoughout the encounter. As a 65+ year-old, I must be cautious. I don't need a service person's permission to wear a mask inside my house. Unbelievable. But I thought I must clarify to Sal's reply. Thanks Sal for your prompt response. But, isn't that a courteous way to ask ? - "You might want to wear a mask". He saw I was wearing one and he was entering my residence. Yes, I could have insisted but I think that is rude. Secondly, my complaint was "gas leak" and hence, the request to send someone from your company. I am not disputing any diagnosis. I just placed it before you, so it doesn't happen again.. I don't want any money back either. Service was rendered and I accept your company's policy. However, I thank the reception desk for immediately scheduling the appointment the same day. It was highly professional, including the update they followed up with. I commend you for that. Anyways, thanks for your immediate response. Much appreciated

    What a joke. First I was told I needed a whole new system for 12k. Then it was just the fan motor…read morebut needed a new fan blade to go with it. With that being said the fan blade was completely fine. Once he quoted me 1241 dollars for the same motor that was 165 online I just asked him to stop what he was doing and leave. Needless to say I paid a service charge to have them waste my time and quote me an outrageous price.
