I grabbed my sandwich and sought out help for a side of hot peppers for my sandwich and couldn't find them. I then had the pleasure of meeting Michelle who was in the area (she was near the sushi/pizza area). I explained to Michelle what I was looking for and she stopped what she was doing and enthusiastically helped me with getting some peppers for my sandwich. She was kind, engaging and genuine - so congratulations on your employee screening and training, she's a winner. Lastly, I was a little annoyed about the side lot being tented and closed. When I brought it up to MIchelle she proudly said that it was closed for an employee event and went on to explain how valued your culture has made her and other employees feel. They feel appreciated and that is a win for you as the management team. There are 5 super markets in the area none of which I had an allegiance to until today, thanks to all of your efforts and Michelle.

I was looking for mushroom coffee and Victoria pointed me in the right direction to the coffee. Also made me crave some earl Grey tea! Lovely displays! I did get a tin of bustelo coffee, some stuffed dates and my bff picked up some pints of icecream to give Ft, pistachio, cinnamon & rum raisin. We walked around and enjoyed the breakdown of all the valentine displays. Very exciting! So many hardworking employees here shifting stuff around to make it easy for all of us. Deli has more people than ever but service has not improved and they no longer package salads to order. Their stacks of coleslaw, potato, and various salads can have up to a week old package date, the slaw having lost it's sweetness for "tang". They are not rotated properly, if you go through them, you can sometimes also find newer ones and older ones with a difference of several days. They are packing more than needed for the shelf to look fully stocked. We always go for their fried chicken and "store" bagels but alas, you can't live on Redners alone, real bakery, meat (too much yuck "Hatfield" brand) and produce will keep you running between different stores on more than special occasions.

We have directories posted all over the store and I'm too busy to take your hand and walk you there!" His exact words which left me in disbelief. I guess he was having one of those days and took it out on me. So I asked to speak to his manager. He chortled, I am the manager, toots!" So, I told my daughter who witnessed the entire exchange, time to go as the idiots are obviously running the village. I left the cart and my daughter decided to fall back and return the items in it. I waited out in the car. When Sia, my daughter, came out she was in tears. She told me the same guy, Brian/Brain called out to her a creepy "Me so horny" as he stalked behind her. He actually said this to a 15 year old girl who just so happens to be black and Laotian. I don't know, maybe he was drunk or high, possibly both. Perhaps a frontal lobe injury? I didn't know men such as this still existed. Figured they had been bronzed in tar and feathered decades ago. It really is unacceptable, highly inappropriate predatory, harassing behavior. A menace like this should not be allowed to run roughshod all over a store grossly abusing his so-called power. I dissuaded my husband from going back to the store to confront him. We will never, ever shop at any ShopRite again. By the way, the mean girls at the front of the store just added insult to injury. I hope you go out of business!

There were no smiles, no warmth, and her overall demeanor gave the impression that she disliked her job, disliked dealing with customers, and simply did not want to be there. As a business owner myself, I understand how important customer relationships are. The checkout counter is often the final impression a guest leaves with, and something as simple as a friendly smile or kind interaction goes a very long way when customers are spending their hard-earned money. I am from out of town and expected much more from what appears to be a boutique-style grocery store with a strong community feel. Stores like Trader Joe's are a great example of how positive, friendly interactions at checkout can completely elevate the customer experience. I even went so far as to ask Delaney if she was having a bad day, and the glaring stare I received in return ultimately prompted me to write this review. To be clear, I am not looking for anyone to lose their job. I simply believe some coaching in guest relations and customer interaction could make a tremendous difference. Delaney is very young, and I genuinely hope she either finds more joy in what she's doing or moves into something better suited for her personality and interests. We ended up getting a bunch of different things to try and she got these mango fruit ice creams that she couldn't even wait to open and eat before we got home. The price wasn't bad for the amount of things we had in the cart. I just hope we can make what we bought. I would recommend this store because it has so many great things to buy. They also have premade sushi, gyoza and tempura.
