I called Amber's to get a quote for a Standard Poodle general grooming and talked to Alex on the phone and she was great! I was able to get an appointment the same week and my boy went from looking like a muppet to a very handsome boy!

They cut her face like a poodle, she doesn't even look like my dog.

I feel bad about leaving a bad review but my poor puppy has been humiliated. Also, I would like to point out that the staff at Ambers were very friendly. Normally I take my 6-month-old Havapoo puppy Poppy to Petco and they do a fantastic job. However, I couldn't make it to Moscow so I gave Ambers a shot, well never again. I asked to go a bit shorter but no more than a 1/2 guard and to keep her head the same shape. Poppy has always been very happy with groomers but when I picked her up she was shaking and crying. Her fur was shorn off nearly to the skin, using a 1/4 guard, and all in different directions, her face was unrecognizable. my puppy looked aged and naked. It was 25 degrees that day and it will take until well into the winter for her coat to grow back. Ever since then she has been so sad, and hides from me and my roommate. I'm not sure which "breed standard" was used for my pup, but Jesus it wasn't the right one.

I've taken him to Zelda's twice now and they are thorough and quick, both times took only an hour or less for full bath and hair trim. I see how they treat the animals when I drop him off and pick him up (very very well), and Broc always comes home happy. I've heard some people complain they are expensive, but not compared to other pet grooming places, and sorry but I won't take Broc or any of my animals to a cheap place where they might do a cheap job and not be good to my sweetheart. I'll keep going to Zelda's!

They said they did not damage the collar , my dog did it. Been going there for 3 years with 2 dogs. The 1st time something comes up , its not worth a 30 dollar collar to keep my business. Let's see 100 dollars a piece for 2 dogs plus our daughters dog. Thats 300. I told them they will lose my business and will post this. Manager laughed and said ok. To lose that much business for 30 dollars? Thats not bright. Heck I've given the groomer alot of money for tips. She should had said I'll pay for it. She said nothing. So you see if your animal gets bitten or kennel cough. I can tell you the answer they will give you. Your dog did it or the other dog did it. It wasn't them. Good luck if you take them there. Oh by the way. They do not require to see any vaccinations for the animals who they groom.

I did my research, and asked everyone who came through the coffee stand that I work at who had a sort of doodle in their car where they got their dogs groomed. Everyone always had wonderful things to say about Lindsay's, and I'm so glad I listened to the good word of mouth, because they did a wonderful job! They took their time which is what Paisley would have needed to make it a positive experience. She's slow to warm up to new sounds and people, and they took care of her needs. Thank you to everyone on staff who took care of my baby girl! She looks like a brand new dog!

I told the groomer I was aware of this and she told me that she would only need to shave his tail. I told her I wanted him short enough to stay cool but not so short I could see his skin. She showed me a picture of a previous doodle she did and I said that looked great. I get him back and he is completely shaved down where you can see his skin which makes it look patchy and his face/ears were left poofy and much longer than the rest of his body. It is nowhere near similar to the picture of the doodle she showed me she was going to model his cut after. If my dog was severely matted to where he needed to get this shaved, she should have called me and given me a heads up since she said his tail was the only thing needing to be shaved prior. I paid $120 for a buzz cut I could have done myself. It also looks like they cut his ear hair but did not actually clean them. The staff was friendly but I will not come back.
