My first review so bear with me. My Friend and I got recommended the Ambiance in colerain, the woman who recommended this place to us- her nails were perfect so we had high hopes. My friend paid around 80 dollars for a full set of acrylic with a design and gel polish. Just a simple N on her ring finger. She was in tears as she was leaving because her nails were so thick, uneven, and the letter was poorly done. The people inside were kind so she didn't have the heart to tell them she didn't like them. I had a similar experience, the man doing my set was very polite to me. Though, I also left with an uneven set, and I noticed later a bump of the acrylic underneath one of my nails. so while we were at fault for not speaking up, I just think the quality of what we received was worth writing about. read more

Went to this Ambiance location recently and really enjoyed the service I received! I got the dip powder nails. My nail stylist, Glady was fantastic and super sweet. She did my nails exactly how I wanted and they look awesome! I'm super happy with my services at Ambiance and I will definitely be back soon for a pedicure. I liked how they were fresh with their tools (opening them in front of you). This exemplified clean and sanitized, which is important right now. I've been going to several different Ambiance locations over the years and I can confidently say this location is one of the worst. 6-8 months ago I would've told you differently, but over the last few months the quality of the work has plummeted. I go every 3 weeks for a pedi/gel manicure and the fast few months my gel manicure won't even last a full week before it is chipping, peeling, and lifting. This is apparently my fault, even though I use gloves exclusively when my hands are in water, it's still my fault that the gel won't even last a week. I've politely told the techs I've seen every time I go in that my nails have been filed way too thin with the drill, and that my nails have never been this weak. This is apparently my fault again. Since THEIR work won't last on my nails longer than 5 days, it's somehow MY fault that the gel is chipping and peeling off, and that's causing all the damage to my nails. Not even 10 days after my last set I had 2 of my nails literally snap in half, I can't even get them fixed because so much of my nail has come off. I cannot tell you to stay far away from this place enough. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect during COVID. But they have this system down. Everyone is always so warm and welcoming. The check in process is super easy and as comfortable as possible with the new guidelines in place. Talk about options. There are nail color options for days... i love having so many different variations to choose from. The salon its self is beautiful, the prices are great and my mani and pedi look fabulous. I love the ambiance and the friendliness of this place. However there is no consistency on quality. I've gone in a few times and received a subpar job. My schedule doesn't allow me to schedule my appointments much in advance- so it's always a crapshoot who I'm going to get. I've only had one technician that I truly like the quality of their work. I just wish they had more technicians that could be relied on, as I went through Thanksgiving missing my thumb nail due to it breaking off not even a week of it being on. This is probably the best nail shop in Butler County! Thank God my mom told me about this spot after trial and error with many others. I walked in on a Friday afternoon. The wait was lengthy but expected on a Friday. I sat the bar -yes, bar- and was offered a water by the hostess. I requested a pedicure and was serviced by none other than Lily - and WOW! She was amazing. We talked the entire time, which was refreshing. She also did a fantastic job on my feet. One important tip, no pun intended, however, is that tipping is cash only. They have an ATM inside with $1.99 fee, and Kroger next door has a Fifth Third. They also said you can drop your tip off for a technician at a later time. There's no way she didn't see it I'm very disappointed cause I basically just paid $70 for shellac which is lumpy! I had two people work on my nails, the first lady who soaked off my SNS asked what I wanted and when I told her I wanted SNS with tip she told me no to getting a tip because of my natural nail length. I explained the only time my nails don't crack or break is when I have tips on. She still refused. The next guy who did my color and tip would listen to the length or shape I wanted. He did them long and square round. When I asked for shorter and round. I submitted a review on the website and they offered for me to get them cut and shaped but said they don't offer refunds. Since then my nails have cracked at the ends by my cuticles, I've noticed flaws on my nails where they weren't buffed out fully, and my friend who went with me had 3 nails fall off within 5 days. I'm very picky on nail salons, and this one does it right! First off, the esthetics of the interior are beautiful and the place is spotless. They are very strict on Covid guidelines, which I appreciate, and will accommodate and requests. I asked to have a pedi chair in the back corner, and it was no problem. They have an endless supply of gel colors and sns to choose from and they are all fresh and new. All the techs here seem to be good, but my favorites are a husband and wife duo Tina and Tim. You can't go wrong with booking an appointment with either! I've had some bad sns powder applied at other salons, they are literally the only ones who have done it right. I just recently started going to this location. My daughter and I have been twice now. Our first experience was amazing. I was pampered and given exceptional service by my nail technician. However, the second visit yesterday was a completely different experience. I had a different person by the name of Jessica. She was polite, but it wasn't the same experience as before. Jessica was extremely rough while working on my nails. She wasn't gentle at all and the experience was really uncomfortable. She nicked my fingers 3 different times and on two of my fingers I couldn't get the blood to stop. My polish looked rushed and not professional at all. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but this experience was just awful and my fingers are still sore from the nicks and how harsh she worked on my cuticles.
